KaikouxiaoThe room was quite spacious and the service was good. The location is super convenient, with a direct underground passage to the subway. The bathroom featured a separate wet and dry area, which was a nice touch. While I understand that hotel prices increase during holidays, 2700 RMB per night for a 30 sqm room felt a bit pricey for a Chinese traveler.

drminHighly recommend this hotel in Fukuoka!
⢠It's a brand new hotel (built in 2025).
⢠Super convenient location right above the subway, and the attached mall is excellent.
⢠The staff are incredibly friendly, and I was very impressed with the complimentary room service (all fridge drinks and alcohol are free) and free lounge access.
⢠The room was clean, and I especially liked that it had hardwood floors instead of carpet, making it feel very fresh.
⢠The windows open, which is great for ventilation.
⢠You can get high-floor city views, and even a distant view of the sea and mountains.
⢠The 12 PM checkout time gives you a bit more flexibility.

Hotel JAL City Fukuoka has an unbeatable location, right in the heart of the bustling city, surrounded by numerous shopping malls, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and getting around. The value for money exceeded my expectations; the experience was even better than hotels I've stayed at previously in the 2,000-3,000 yen price range. The front desk for check-in is on the 19th floor, and you need to transfer elevators to get to your room. On the 18th floor, there's an exclusive lounge for guests with beautiful views, offering snacks and drinks. The small pastries were delicious. There's also a mini-supermarket on B1 and a coffee and bakery on B2, which also directly connects to the Tenjin subway station, making it very convenient to get to the airport and surrounding areas.

JaniceTotoroI enjoyed my stay here as a female solo traveler. The bed and room lighting are adjustable, so even if you like staying up late with the lights on, you don't have to worry about disturbing others because the bed area is covered by a privacy blind.
It's very comfortable to have a queen-size bed in a capsule hotel compared to many others. There's no need to climb stairs, and there is plenty of space in the room to store your belongings. You can also leave large luggage outside your room.
I also managed to do some night sightseeing around Tenjin and Nakatsu. The night views were beautiful. If thereâs a chance I will definitely come back here again.

GaogaodezonglvshuThis was my first time staying at Hotel New Otani Fukuoka, and its location is fantastic. It's right next to the Nanakuma Line subway station, and you can walk directly along Watanabe-dori to the Tenjin shopping district. Nearby, you'll find Mitsukoshi, Daimaru department stores, Daikoku Drugstore, sports brand shops, electronics stores, and more â making shopping incredibly convenient. As for the stay itself, the room size is generous for a Japanese hotel. I'd give the cleanliness, environment, and service a perfect five out of five, and the facilities a four. The staff's politeness and enthusiasm also deserve a five.
However, I do need to point out that the hotel's breakfast doesn't quite live up to its five-star standard. The restaurant on the first floor feels small, and the breakfast selection is just average, nothing special. Also, with the current trend of non-smoking policies, why doesn't the hotel implement a complete smoking ban in all guest rooms? For guests with asthma who can't stand the smell of smoke, this feels unfriendly, doesn't it? Even if they've tried to remove the smoke smell, the lingering scent absorbed into the room, carpet, and walls still feels very strong. Smelling it can even trigger coughing and wheezing. If they could improve and upgrade the breakfast to better match a five-star hotel's positioning, and implement a complete smoking ban in guest rooms (with designated smoking areas), I believe even more guests would happily choose to stay at Hotel New Otani.

Good:
Nice and spacious room, free parking good for us to drive around, powerful shower head which served strong stream and stable temperature for nice shower, big beds, convenient shops, food and big AEON store nearby with driving distance 5 mins, nice night lounge with free flow crafted beer, popcorn, and bbq marshmallow, my daughter requested to go every night
But if youâre not coming with a car, itâs sorta inconvenient

Hotel is located on streets with many famous eateries and shops amongst local and foreign tourists. Tenjin Minami station on Nanakuma Line is 5-6 mins away on foot. Travelled in 3 pax and coincidentally on the weekend where there was a bunch concert and live shows happening in the city so hotel rate was extra expensive (normal weekend is alr very expensive).. Found this hotel within our budget and can fit 3 pax. Sofa bed was kinda comfortable but not the pillow. More used to firmer latex ones while the one they provided is either polyester or microfiber filled so it was very very very soft! Room was tight when the 3 of us opened our luggage. Shower has good water pressure. Thereâs also public bath on site. They provide in room water purifier machine too.

wwfjaon24This hotel is small but perfectly formed, with an excellent location that's super close to popular spots like Ichiran Ramen, Tenjin, and the Yatai (food stalls) â all within a 10-minute walk. The self check-in and check-out process was very convenient. Plus, there's a bar where you can grab drinks and snacks anytime, which saved us a lot on beverage costs. The only minor drawback was that some corners of the room had a bit of dust, so that could be improved!

JaniceTotoroWhen I reached the hotel, I was stunned because the lobby was crowded with people enjoying a beer night or social gathering, which is definitely not my kind of activity as an introvert đŽđ¨. It was difficult to reach the front desk because I had to squeeze through the crowd to get in and out. I wish the hotel had separate entrances with clearer signage, such as a âparty areaâ and a âcheck-in area,â which would be much more helpful.
Surprisingly, the lounge area on the 3rd floor was quiet and comfortable, and both the bathroom and bed were clean.
I chose this place because I wanted to visit Nakatsukasa Magotaro Inari Shrine (also known as the Cyber Shrine) at night. It's about a 15-minute walk from the hotel, but walking there alone can be a little scary because the road has limited lighting, and visiting a shrine at night always gives off a spooky vibe. I went there at around 9:30 PM.
Since itâs not nearby the happening places like Tenjin or Hakata, thereâs is no shop opening nearby in the night (except the convenience store), but if you are visiting the Ohori Park I think itâs just about 5 minutes walking.

The location was a bit tricky, but it was closer to the bus stop than the subway, and it was midway between Hakata and Tenjin, so it wasn't inconvenient to get around. However, it seemed like Trip.com had only recently started accepting reservations, so the room photos and descriptions weren't accurate. Payment was only possible on-site at the hotel. The room I booked and the room I received were different, so I inquired. They contacted Trip.com and explained that the photo must have been posted incorrectly. However, since it was the weekend, there were no rooms available, and the price was right for the room I booked. Still, the manager, who seemed to be feeling the pinch, provided water and beer. Thank you!
And there was a Korean staff member, which was a welcome surprise. The Japanese-style room was spacious. There was a large public bath, a Family Mart nearby, and a lunch area on the first floor. Of course, you could also rent comics if you wanted.
