"Stayed at Hotel Oriental Fukuoka Tenjin and it was such a great choice! The location is super convenient—just a 2-minute walk to the subway entrance, making it easy to get around the city. There are also plenty of dining options nearby, with Yoshinoya, Matsuya, and even Shin Shin just around the corner. Service was consistently good, and the room was very comfortable. I especially loved the pillows and bed—perfect for resting after a long day of exploring. A nice touch was that they provided nightwear, which I didn’t bring, so that was really convenient. Breakfast had a great spread with lots of options to choose from, making mornings something to look forward to. Overall, a comfortable and hassle-free stay in a prime location!"

"Hotel is about 5 mins walking distance from Watanabe-Dori Station. The room was spacious. A couple of convenient stores can be found in vicinity of the hotel. Not too far from the busy Tenjin shopping district. It is also close to Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station, for those intended to travel to Dazaifu or Yanagawa. Breakfast, laundry, vending machine, ice machine available."

"The location is very close to Hakata Station, about a 10-minute walk. The surrounding area is nice. The room isn't huge, but it's just right for two people, well-equipped, clean, and the bed and pillows are comfortable. The front desk staff are polite, efficient, and speak English. "Facilities: The hotel is quite new, built in '21. I stayed on the fifth floor, and they have an ice machine and a water dispenser, so it's fine even if the room doesn't come with complimentary water. This is also the only hotel where you can request an extra bed and the rooms are 40 square meters. They even store luggage until my next stay. I checked with all the five-star hotels around, and they either had small rooms, expensive rooms, couldn't add a bed, or couldn't store luggage for an extended period. This truly is a major highlight! Cleanliness: I have to complain about the cleanliness. In room 507, the bathroom sink didn't have a cover, and there were a lot of small flying insects inside. I sprayed mosquito repellent here, and I only realized the extent of the problem when many of them died at the drain opening. My son even got bites on his chest! Environment: It's super convenient, only about 150 meters from Hakata Chikushi-guchi. Yodobashi Camera is right across the street, so you can shop 'til you drop – it's fantastic! There are also many convenience stores nearby. Service: The breakfast selection isn't huge, but it's fine for one day. I highly recommend the breakfast coffee; it's very rich."

"I came to Fukuoka and was deciding between the Grand Hyatt and IL Palazzo, considering my budget. After reading online reviews, I decisively chose this place, and it turns out I made the right choice. The location is super convenient; Canal City Hakata is just a 10-15 minute walk away, and there are many dining options nearby. The hotel's decor is very unique, with a bold use of bright colors. After staying in many business-style hotels, it was refreshing to experience something so different. The room type I picked was super spacious – easily enough room to spread out three suitcases. Plus, it had a wet and dry separation bathroom and a huge round bathtub. They even provided two sets of amenities. Every day from 5-7 PM, there's an alcohol buffet with unlimited drinks. The breakfast the next day was also very rich. Overall, I highly recommend it!"

"Comfy superb hotel! We love it so much, the breakfast, the facilities, amenities, comfyness and mostly the SPACE!! The hotel room was so spacious, love the water dispenser provided in the room and also separated bathroom and toilet. The inhouse public bath was one of the highlight and we enjoyed it every night after our whole day outing. Its quite busy during night time but still manageable. Breakfast was awesome, love the varieties. Near to alot of eateries and has a supermarket right in front of the hotel. Very near to canal city but quite far (not walking distance) to go to tenjin shopping district. Alot of koreans in the hotel. We love this place and will recommend!"

"I made a reservation because it is a new hotel established in 2026. The advantage of this hotel is its excellent location; it is visible just 1-2 minutes from Yakuin Station, and there is a 7-Eleven right next door. There were also quite a few local yakitori restaurants nearby. The facilities were modern, and the single rooms were quite spacious. On the second floor, there were vending machines, water purifiers, microwaves, and washing machines, and it was nice to have a place selling takoyaki and karaage right next door. The downsides were that the inside of the elevator was too dark, which felt a bit stuffy and might even feel scary to some. Also, perhaps because it is a new hotel, the smell of fresh wallpaper in the room was very strong, which was off-putting at first. Turning the lights on and off one by one was also a bit of a hassle, and I wished there was a remote control that could turn them all on at once. Additionally, I wish the hotel's information had been more detailed in Korean, and it would have been nice if they had provided information on nearby facilities as well as how to use the facilities inside the room. Overall, considering the reasonable price, it seemed like a good choice in terms of location and facilities, though it was a bit disappointing that there was no air purifier in the room. Also, if the room had been ventilated sufficiently to eliminate the new smell, it would have been a decent place to stay. The accessibility was good as there was a local yakitori restaurant nearby. The amenities were of good quality, self-check-in was simple, and I would likely come back if the price were reasonable."

"Convenient location. You can walk to nearby malls. But the location of hotel is quiet. Very nice breakfast. A variety of sashimi to choose from. Freshly pressed orange juice. Room is a bit small but can still open two 27inch suitcase. A few parking spaces in the hotel. If it is full, you can park in the parking lot opposite to the hotel. Same price except you cant drive in and out."

"The Oriental Hotel Fukuoka Hakata Station's biggest selling point is its excellent location. I had to stay an extra day in Fukuoka because my flight was cancelled due to a typhoon, so I chose Fukuoka No. 1. Overall, the room environment was great, with a balcony and ample space. The mini-bar was completely free, and the complimentary snacks were delicious. There's a communal bath, and while it's not a natural hot spring, it's still nice for a relaxing soak. The Lodge area also offered plenty of free self-service drinks and ice cream. The turndown service was a thoughtful touch, even providing a face mask for each person. Breakfast was absolutely delicious! It was a combination of à la carte mains and a buffet. I highly recommend the unagi don (eel rice bowl) and the steak! My only criticisms would be that the front desk is quite small and merges with the bar, which can get chaotic when there are many people. I also found the room price to be a bit high; comparatively, the Hotel Miyako Fukuoka offers better value for money.

Location ~ very good Room Facilities ~ very good, the room that I booked has a washing machine. Room amenities ~ not that great. Basic amenities. Hotel facilities ~ no swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, but with public bath. Hotel policy ~ very rigid. Standard check in time is 3pm which is understandable. Arrived at 2.30pm asking to check in slightly earlier but was told cannot. Then I asked the standard check out time which is before 10am. I told them I need to catch early flight so not going to stay until 10am. With that, could I proceed to check in at 2.30pm but was told still cannot. Some other hotels that I stayed in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, etc. are very accommodating. Some hotels in Taiwan not allowed check in early but at least they will perform the check in process, only could collect key at 3pm. However this hotel just let the guests wait at the lobby without doing anything. Finally they opened the check in counter at 2.50pm. Breakfast served at 6.30am. Told them I need to rush to airport early morning, whether I could have my breakfast slightly earlier, or pack some food for me to go airport. Again policy and practice not allowed so. Just too rigid. Not flexible. Breakfast variety okay, but not very good or excellent Would I still return next time? No, I would rather try other hotels. With that, I won't return even though the location is good.

**Location:** It's very close to Gion Station, and about a 5–7 min walk to Kushida Shrine Station and a local supermarket. Canal City Hakata is roughly 10 minutes away on foot. Overall, the location is quite convenient. **Service & Amenities:** Special praise for the reception staff—they were proactive, polite, spoke fluent English, and explained everything clearly. The hotel also provides free amenities, including Sekkisei skincare products and bath salts, which was a lovely touch! **Room & Cleanliness:** The room is spacious enough to fully open 2 to 3 suitcases. I especially loved the large, clean bathroom with its separate wet and dry areas. Housekeeping did a great job—just make sure to put your request magnet/card on the door before 10 AM. **Breakfast:** The food was decent, featuring salads, bread, omelets, sukiyaki, seafood bowls, French toast, and even free-flow wine. Some items require ordering directly from the chef, which caused a bit of a rush due to the crowds, but the staff tried their best to help. The free ramen after soaking in the hot springs was delicious 😋. Breakfast was incredibly rich with lots of choices, including local specialties, definitely worth a try. The hot springs ♨️ were also very authentic and incredibly relaxing!

It's about an 8-10 minute walk from Hakata Station. The hotel environment is nice, and the bar on the first floor offers drinks and coffee from 2 PM to 10 PM. On the way from the station to the hotel, there's a 7-Eleven, Matsumoto Kiyoshi, and Yodobashi Camera (which has a supermarket and Daiso inside). Since it's close to the train tracks, there's a bit of noise, but it didn't affect my sleep.

I booked two rooms, and while their sizes varied, they were both larger than typical city hotel rooms. I requested a high floor, which wasn't granted, but that's okay. However, the rooms faced the messy buildings behind the hotel, which made for a poor view. There was a lot of dust on the bedside tables, which I hope can be improved. There's a large public bath on the third floor, but I didn't get to experience it because of the long lines to get in when it was busy.

This was my first time traveling abroad with my child, and after a lot of comparison, I chose this hotel. On the day of check-in, we took a taxi from Fukuoka Airport to the hotel, which was about a 15-20 minute drive and cost around 80+ RMB. The hotel is very quiet with good soundproofing, and complimentary drinks are available. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from Hakata Station. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus service in the mornings, running every 30 minutes, which was very convenient for our travel needs. Tenjin shopping district is approximately 1.8 kilometers away, a pleasant 20-minute walk. The hotel is located at a crossroads, with a 7-Eleven convenience store downstairs. Diagonally opposite is a duty-free supermarket, making it convenient for purchasing daily necessities or cosmetics. There's also a branch of the 'Dajin' barbecue chain downstairs; we ate there two days in a row. The food was decent and incredibly good value for money, haha!

Location of this hotel is excellent! Extremely easy to find - exit from the Chikushi Gate (East) at JR Hakata station and walk about 5 mins to reach the hotel. There is also a bus stop just 100 meters away (1 min walk) that you can take from the airport to reach the hotel, or from the hotel to reach the airport. Room is clean and decent size. Love the bathroom and the standing shower which has a nice rain shower, handheld shower and jacuzzi style massage shower. There’s also a bathtub for those who like to take baths. Room amenities can be obtained at hotel lobby so there is little waste - just take what you need. There is also a coffee machine that is free at the lobby. There is a self-service washing machine and dryer at level 3, level 7 and level 11. There is also a Family Mart just infront of the hotel and also a Lawson just around the corner. Great for getting late night light snacks. Overall, an excellent hotel! Highly recommended!

The hotel itself is as advertised. The lobby is definitely large for a Japanese hotel, and the room size was decent. However, the bathroom had a strange odor, possibly from the pipes, and this was an issue for both nights of our stay. But, to be fair, the overall service standard was excellent. On the second day, I forgot to put out the 'clean my room' sign, but the hotel thoughtfully left fresh towels and water outside our door, showing great respect for privacy, which I really appreciated!

I stayed for 3 nights. Let's start with the positives, which actually make up most of my experience~ +1. **Convenient Transportation:** This hotel is incredibly well-located, just 1 kilometer from Hakata Station, Fukuoka's largest transportation hub. I walked there every time. From Hakata Station, you can take a bus directly to the international terminal in about 20 minutes. You can also catch trains here to Dazaifu, Yanagawa, Mojiko, and Kokura. It's even closer to Tenjin Station, another major transport hub, at just over 700 meters away. +2. **Excellent Location:** This area seems to be Nakasu, a lively nightlife district. Many restaurants here stay open until 1-2 AM. There are also numerous 24-hour convenience stores nearby, and their bread is exceptionally good. The famous Nakasu Yatai (food stall) street is just a 5-minute walk away. This area is bustling from morning till night. +3. **Super Fast Wi-Fi:** The hotel's Wi-Fi was the fastest I've ever used in all my years of traveling. Speed tests easily showed upload and download speeds of 100 Mbps, sometimes even faster. So, no worries about internet access. Now, for the downsides: -1. **Small Room & Pricey:** The room was quite small. While a small room isn't necessarily a deal-breaker, this hotel was also very expensive... I paid over 4,000 yen for three nights, which is even pricier than hotels in Tokyo or Osaka. I'm not sure why it was so costly. -2. **Poor Light Blocking Curtains:** The curtains themselves are fine at blocking light. However, there's significant light leakage around the edges of the curtains. Since the bed is directly under the window, if the morning sun is strong, the light seeping through the edges will definitely wake you up. So, is it worth staying here? If the price were lower, say around 900 yen per night, I think it would be a very suitable option. After all, the location is incredibly convenient. I hope they redesign the curtains to block light more effectively. Although I filmed a video, I can't upload it using the browser on my computer, so I'll just stick to text.
