My second visit to Fukuoka, but first time trying out the Crowne Plaza, as I was in town to catch the Cirque du Soleil show Kurious in Fukuoka. I took a taxi from the airport as many travelers recommended this and the distance is quite near, as Fukuoka is not a big city. However, one could also take the subway from the airport as it’s just a couple of stop to Hakata station. The hotel is about ten minutes walk from Hakata station, may take longer if it’s your first time. Most of the staff here are very friendly and helpful, I was checked in quickly and, thr room size is very large if one compares with most Japanese hotels. Room was super clean and everything works well inside. Sleep comfort was very good as well, and the breakfast room on the lobby level was very good as well, a great combination of local and western favorites. Don’t miss a wonderful ramen shop near the hotel near Hakataekimae, it’s called Hakata Ikkousha Sohonten can can be found on Yelp! It’s where the locals go, and so much better than the overrated Ichiran. I would definitely return again in the future.

We used the superior room with 4 families. It was a semi double bed x 2 + extra bed x 2, but there was a room size and I didn't feel particularly cramped. The meal was finished outside, so there is no restaurant use. It is a new hotel, so it is a comfortable and clean hotel. The Montreal Group also used in Osaka, but I am satisfied with the overall. Not flashy, but no problem with the minimum service, not more than necessary.

Great location, a nearby station easy to get in and out of the city. The staff was terrific, they went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable, I had a wonderful experience at the Sutton Hotel Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- into the cleaning staff was delightful and eager to help! Thank you! I will recommend it to my colleagues and family. The hotel is well-maintained. I have stayed at dozens of hotels in Fukuoka but this was one of the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever.

We stayed here for two nights in the beginning of our trip to Japan and for one night at the end of our trip. The hotel allowed us to store a lot of luggages at the hotel when we travelled elsewhere. The staff is very service minded and my daughter even got gifts at check in. The rooms were very clean.We also got a room upgrade for our last night. The location is as good as it can be with its own subway entrance.
The breakfast is delicious. However, Please note that unusually for Japan five year olds have to pay for breakfast (1650 JPY).
Overall we had a great stay and I highly recommend this hotel. If I return to Fukuoka I will stay here.

Stayed alone in September 2020. The room is breakfast in a double room. First of all, it is a chic atmosphere with a wide 々 that makes you think it is a foreign hotel from the moment you enter the entrance. The rooms were 20 ㎡ in the lower category and the ceiling was high. Good point is that a small table and chair that is easy to use, free mineral water, USB outlets and cables on the head of the bed are set in advance (type C, micro B, Lightning conversion is possible). Furthermore, the WiFi environment is too fast with 190Mbps. The bathroom is almost new and perfect with the latest washlet, large bathtub and amenities, Panasonic dryer. LCD TV is about 40 inches sharp. It is a safety box that is conscious of inbound demand. Breakfast is especially recommended. In the corona cherry blossom, the main is selected and the salad and omelet are ordered by addition. The croissant of the western food plate was so sacky and very delicious. There is also a free transfer to Hakata Station and Fukuoka Airport, so it is convenient with cospa over the location if you actively use it. Great hotel that is a waste of business demand. Hotel that can be recommended as a family, couple, and destination for sightseeing purposes.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in Jan 2020. The hotel location is excellent; 7 minutes walk from JR Hakata Station and 2 minutes to the Canal City shopping mall. It only takes about 10 - 15 minutes from the airport to the hotel by taxi for about JPY2,000 (less than USD20). The front desk is very helpful and friendly. Since the hotel was only opened in Jan 2020, everything is so new. We stayed in a twin bed room with a sofa bed for my teenage child. However, you still feel spacious. The room is clean and comfortable. I like the bathroom which is equipped with shower and bath-tube. There is also a public bath which is absolutely value added. The lobby is very well designed with a touch of Japanese style. When we asked the front line staff to call a taxi for us to go to the airport on our departure, the staff not only took care of our request but also led us the way from the hotel lobby to the parking where the taxi was waiting. I call this genuine service from the heart. This is the first time I give a 5-star review to a hotel. I believe they earn it and desire it, and hopefully they can keep on with it.

Swimming pool is great, even has swim cap and googles for you to borrow. Breakfast restaurant has a good spread and has mentaiko toast! the smoothie fridge is nice with ingredients in the smoothie presented.
In the room, overall it's nice, but small details that made a difference for me was [1] not enough places to hang towels or clothes in bathroom (ex. having more hooks on the wall), and [2] the chair at the writing desk is VERY heavy, and I'm pretty strong, but it feels like it is bolted to the floor.

It was a comfortable stay. Location is great, just right in front of Hakata station. The room is generally clean. All staff are polite, Japanese or non-Japanese. Towels are provided everyday. Pyjamas and amenities such as cotton pads and combs are found in the lobby. Coffee machine and water machine are available all the time in the lobby. I definitely love the free breakfast, with cold and hot selections. A simple breakfast before heading out. However, I find the lighting in the room and bathroom is a bit darker to my liking. Overall, I recommended this hotel if you want an affordable and comfortable stay.

AAnonymous UserThis is out of expectations. The hotel is relatively new and modern. Location is good, very close to the Hakata Station. All the staff are professional and friendly. Room is clean and comfortable. We would love to book for a few more nights but sadly they were fully booked. But definitely will book this hotel again in the future.

GGuest UserI was attracted to the good location of 2 stations by subway airport line from Fukuoka Airport to Hakata Station and about 2 minutes walk from subway Hakata Station to the hotel. This time, I wanted to go to Shimonoseki, Ogura and Yamaguchi Prefecture based in Hakata, so I had a comfortable stay. The amenities were a style that took you from the corner in front of the front desk to the room for as much as you needed, and I felt that it was a good attempt from the viewpoint of environmental protection. I want to stay again. Thank you.

Millennials Fukuoka is in a strategic location close to restaurants, mini marts, and lots of stuff going on in the Area. It’s sparkling clean and well run. Their staff, especially Faith are extremely helpful. I had a great stay and would love to return when I’m back in Fukuoka.

MmadsmovesSuper friendly and helpful staff! The location was brilliant, it only took around 25 minutes to get to the airport, as well as walking distance to a lot of the main central sites to see in Fukuoka. Shower room was clean and well equipped and the sleeping pod was also clean and very comfortable. The most amount of space I’ve had to myself in a hostel I think.
The included breakfast was basic but I think it’s enough for what you’re paying. There was coffee/tea, bread, jam, yoghurt, granola and a couple of baked goods. See my picture for what I had (it filled me up for the morning, so no complaints from me).
Only negative for me was the sound the door to the room makes when locking/unlocking. Obviously in a hostel you can expect a bit of noise and people coming/going throughout the night, but I had the pod closest to the door and the sound of it closing, locking and unlocking was extremely loud. There’s nothing the guests can do to minimise this, even if you close it softly. The automatic lock is so loud. This might only be an issue if you’re close to the door but be prepared, it’s quite an infuriating sound and I could unfortunately hear it through my headphones.
All in all, I still enjoyed my stay. I would stay here again! Would just maybe request a pod further from the door☺️

DDMichelleLet me preface my review by saying I'm from North America. The room was so small there were no nightstands on either side of the bed, so nowhere to put your phone, water, etc. They go in the bed with you. Your new towels are given to you in plastic bags, hung on the door handle. The carpets are worn and not clean, the furniture is also very worn. There is no housekeeping during your stay, you are told to put your garbage in the hallway and it will be picked it up, so the hallway smells like garbage and there are garbage bags everywhere. When someone checks out, the cleaning staff goes in and takes out all the linens and dumps them on the hallway floor, so during the day, there is garbage and piles of dirty linen down the hallways. When the cleaning staff goes from floor to floor, they do not have their own elevator, and get in the elevator with you, with their trolleys and bags of garbage. The location is excellent, right near the train station. The restaurant for breakfast, included, was very good, but only traditional Japanese food. No english was spoken at this hotel, so check in took a long time while he tried to explain all these rules to me with laminated pictures.

One noteworthy inconvenience is the need to go down to the ground floor to access the water dispenser. It would be more convenient if there were water machines available on each floor.
The hotel's location is about a 5-minute walk from the nearest subway station and a 10+ minute walk to the shopping mall area. While not the most central/ convenient, the overall experience was quite enjoyable.

Very Good
WWai HongStayed for 4 nights in the end of December. Location wise this is quite a walk from Hakata station Chikushi exit, around 10-13 minutes depending on walking speed. I visited in December and thus the walk was not that bad but during summer I don't think it is ideal. However, if you do not feel like walking, you can take the local bus from Hakata station bus terminal and alight opposite the hotel. Coincidentally, the same bus/buses also go to the Lalaport Mall if you are thinking of visiting it like I did. In terms of the room, it is small but sufficient for 2 people. One complaint I do have is that the water heater takes quite some time to heat up. Bed was comfy and pillows were decent. You can request for pillows at the front desk if required. For breakfast, options were rather limited but taste wise, it is excellent. Definitely go for the Danish Pastry and Croissants and put them into the toaster. There is a free onsen for guests who want to use but I did not try it. There is also a free drink bar where you can get cafe type coffee and soft drinks on level 14 so do make use of it. Overall, a decent stay and will recommend it if nearer hotels are not available or more expensive.

PPt LamGood location close to the Gion train station. Clean and comfy food. Breakfast option is a coupon to a restaurant across the street.
We found the service lacking as the front desk was not helpful when we asked for recommendations on nearby restaurants. staff simply pointed us to the map. when I asked if they could help call the car rental company to confirm my car booking the next day, they said they could not do it and directed asked me to use a public phone.
