Beautiful view from our balcony, we were located right next to the restaurant, however they were only open for breakfast ( and dinner on the weekends)That was a little disappointing… we looked forward to enjoying the fire pit outside the restaurant on those chilly evenings.We loved having a free shuttle bus come right to the hotel to take us down town!And the piano player at the neighboring hotel was was absolutely amazing!

We really liked this hotel. It was a bit removed from the center city of Bar Harbor, but it was an easy and safe 15 minute walk. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a nice porch overlooking the lawn. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because we didnt get room service a single time we were there. They did try to come once, but it was at 4pm and we were in the room showering. Even with than that, this was a wonderful spot and I would highly recommend.

The Wonder View Inn is absolutely wondrous! Every member of the staff was extremely nice and helpful. We stayed in room 8. It was very clean and the bed was amazing! The ice machine was conveniently located steps from the room across the parking lot. We actually ran out of time to use the pool and hot tub. We can’t wait to come back and stay longer to see the piano bar and eat at the beautiful restaurant. Love this place!

we were in room #11 and we really enjoyed our stay i think this is the fourth time we have stayed there. everyone is always nice and polite and tries to help anyway they can. the rooms are nice sized and clean and comfortable. they knew we came there as a late anniversary trip the past two years and had a nice card and a bottle of wine wine waiting for us when we checked in. the grounds are great and we will be back next year and have recommended the wonder view to others also.

My wife and I booked our reservation for two nights in advance and, of course, guaranteed payment of the first night on a credit card in keeping with the property's policies. Upon arrival checked in but my wife was creeped out by the seedy, old-fashioned 1950s roadside holiday court appearance of the building where our assigned room was situated. While the room inside was clean, it appeared dated and dull. Our overriding concern, however, was for security since the room was open to vehicle parking in front and the building inself separate and situated some distance from the the Bluenose Inn main building where one is obliged to check in for this fleabag flophouse. Stating our dissatisfaction with what we found, we did move into the room, but asked for a refund on the first night deposit with a view to going elsewhere. Our request was met with an indifferent staff and management who denied our request. We then left the key, departed and found ample accommodations at the Hampton Inn nearby which was much more secure, modern and comfortable at a comparable rate.

The parking for our room location was horrible. The property appears old and somewhat run down. The siding on the building was filthy, giving a terrible first impression. Couldn’t decide if the room stylist/designer had chosen mid-century Goodwill or Salvation Army. The constant, incessant banging around from the room above us was very annoying and the property managers could not have cared less. They did nothing to assist at all. While the location is good, there is nothing else about this property that would ever inspire a recommendation or repeat stay. Even when we first checked in, it was clear no one had prepared the room for occupancy. The small refrigerator provided wasn’t even on and took forever to come to temperature. It also smelled old and musty. So glad I brought the Lysol! It is clear that this property is only about gaining access to your wallet, not about the quality of either their property or your stay. With so little effort, this could have been a completely different experience. Sadly, it was not a good one.

Our room reminded me of a modular home or trailer the way it was trimmed out. The way it was advertised I thought it would be a lot nicer than it was. The room was VERY clean....however, I did find a tick on the wall. Location was about a 15 minute walk to downtown.

Great choice. it's not fancy but it does the trick. You can walk to town instead of driving and looking for parking (sparse) and feeding the meter ( expensive). Acadia is just a few miles away. I usually don't book what I call a motel, but this was a good choice. Clean, everything you need. will stay here again.

Wonderview is a dated drive up motel but very clean and comfortable in an excellent location within walking distance to downtown. All the usual hotel room amenities plus have access to luxurious Blue Nose hotel pool, breakfast in mountain top restaurant with gorgeous view, and lovely BlueNose lobby lounge to listen to excellent pianist in evening. Ask for room with a view if you want to be in the higher elevation units. Our only reason for a 4 rating instead of 5 is that we only received very minimal housekeeping during our 3 night stay. But we’d come back again.
