The Pathmaker Hotel

Wonderful stay exceeding expectation. Great breakfast with good varieties. Very clean bathrooms and very good coffee for morning sunrise chasers. Great location as well and friendly for drivers.

We had an excellent stay at the Pathmaker hotel in Bar Harbor. The hotel is in a great location, easy to walk to everything from the Sand bars, village center and d still a quiet locale. The hotel offers a delicious breakfast each morning ( try the Nantucket Pie) my husband and I enjoyed it very much. The hotel is also very beautiful, the dining room is this pretty green and decorated artfully. Lastly, the staff was great, very friendly and always happy to help. We enjoyed our visit to Bar Harbor and this hotel was definitely part of the enjoyable experience.

Lovely NEW hotel -- basic but super clean! Great breakfast in the restaurant each morning -- don't skip it, for sure. The bed is comfortable, but I felt the pillows were too full for my neck comfort -- I bring my own everywhere anyway! There's a nice array of soaps and shampoo/cond if you need. Ice machine and free parking were a plus! Staff were all very friendly, with delicious cookies, coffee and tea available in the lobby daily. There's also a water bottle refill station which we made use of every day. The only downside is I'm a little surprised new hotels don't use heat pumps for HVAC but oh well -- I found the constant A/C turning on throughout the night to be a bit loud. Good experience overall :-)
