Tainan Hotels with balcony

We stayed at Avon's Airbnb for three days and had a very pleasant experience. On our first day, Avon and her husband gave us a warm welcome, complete with delicious cake. Avon gave us tons of food recommendations based on our preferences, and we ended up trying over 20 local eateries in Tainan – we only wished we had bigger stomachs! The room was super clean and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. My husband even wanted to ask Avon where she bought the pillows because he slept so well (he's very particular about beds and pillows, and used to even bring his own when traveling, but Taiwan was too far for that). Getting around was also very convenient, with so many delicious local snacks nearby; three days just wasn't enough to try everything. We definitely want to stay in Tainan longer if we get the chance again. A big thank you to Avon and her husband! Just a small suggestion: a little stool by the door would make putting on shoes much easier when heading out.

Having a parking space is perfect for travelers driving in. The room was comfortable, very private, and super clean, with all the amenities you could need. I stayed for three days, and before my trip even ended, I'd already recommended it to friends visiting Tainan in July! 😊

This is a great choice if you prefer to live like the locals. The location is awesome where is is walkable distance to many famous spots for local food. Though i would not recommend anyone with difficulties walking up stairs, since it is a renovated old house, the rooms are actually different floors of the house. The host was extremely helpful and very responsive to any question we had, and recommended a lot of good place for us to visit.

Stayed for two nights. Had some issue with our hotel room key. The staff were very proactive trying to resolve the issue, but it was only till the 2nd day of our stay that was resolved. There was no compensation for the incovenience caused as we only had 1 phisical key for 4 ppl. Having said that, the rest of the service was very nice, would be happy to go back again.

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. As soon as I walked into the room, I was impressed by the overall decor and the abundance of charging outlets. They even thoughtfully provided snacks and instant noodles, which was a lovely touch. We had a great time playing mahjong with friends in the evening. Overall, it was a fantastic stay! I'd definitely want to book this hotel again the next time I'm in Tainan, and I highly recommend it to everyone! 👏👏👏

The stay experience was great☺️ The staff were very friendly. There was also a large bookcase in the room. It was very comfortable to curl up on the sofa and read a book on a rainy day.

Overall experience is great, I arrived early and the counter allowed me to keep my luggage before check-in. The only downside is the location towards public transport, you'll have to walk at least 10 minutes to any bus station. The view in front of the building is good for morning/evening walk along the riverside.

Overall, I had a very good stay and think this hotel deserves a higher rating, especially compared with some higher-star hotels I stayed at in Taiwan. The room was very clean and housekeeping was thorough. I also really appreciated the free coffee (black coffee) and water dispenser. The shared kitchen and dining area are very useful, as you do not have to eat inside your room. Having the garbage disposal downstairs is also great, especially as you do not have to keep food waste in the room. The air conditioning was strong, the fridge worked well, and there was also a large shared fridge/freezer and dishes available on the ground floor. The washing machine was excellent: 40 TWD for a roughly 50-minute wash and 10 TWD for detergent. Unlike many other hotels, it also had warm-water programs, and my clothes actually smelled fresh afterwards. The receptionist was very helpful, and being able to contact reception through LINE while outside the hotel was extremely convenient. They responded quickly and were always helpful. The elevator and stairs were also good. I especially appreciated that there is a guest toilet available even after check-out. Also, a hairdryer and slippers were also provided, which was convenient. A few negatives: the walls are very thin, the bed was too short for me (1.73m), hand soap was missing, and I found it unusual that toilet paper cannot be flushed. Check-in only starts at 4 p.m., which is quite late. One additional thing to note for taller guests: the bathroom ceiling is quite low. The biggest issue was noise from other guests. There was a lot of loud noise after 11 p.m. and late into the night. It would be very helpful if the hotel introduced clear quiet-hour rules and reminded guests at check-in to keep noise down after around 10 p.m. Regardless of where people come from, being considerate of other hotel guests should be basic courtesy, especially late at night. Apart from the noise, this was a very good hotel with excellent facilities (see pictures) and helpful staff.

Although the place is located in a small alley, the facility is very clean, even the elevator.  They provide free water bottles. The washer and dryer is available to use which are located outside the front door. The dryer doesn’t get the clothes totally dry so we just hang them in the room for the rest of the day.  The host will let you store your luggage before and after check in/out. Located very close to popular eateries. Convenient bus stops within a 10 minutes walk. Will definitely consider this place again in the future.
