GGuest UserThis is hands down the best homestay I've ever experienced! The hosts (the owner and his wife) are incredibly kind and welcoming. My suitcase had become exceptionally heavy after several days of travel and shopping. Without a moment's hesitation, even in the pouring rain, the owner single-handedly carried it up multiple flights of stairs. I was deeply touched by his incredible effort; it was genuinely hard work. Dinner was a heartwarming experience, shared with their entire family, and their children were absolutely adorable. The hosts are genuine, hardworking individuals from an ethnic minority group, dedicated to running their homestay with integrity and care.
No matter what needs or concerns arose during my stay, the hosts enthusiastically went above and beyond to assist, genuinely caring for every guest. This is something I experienced firsthand. Finding such a wonderful place and meeting such kind-hearted people is truly a lucky and heartwarming part of any journey.
This review reflects my honest opinion; if you're reading it, you can book this place without a second thought. The scenery, needless to say, is absolutely stunning, and the location is equally superb. So, when comparing similar value for money, I chose an environment that offered more warmth and positive energy. Encountering such fortunate and heartwarming people and experiences during a tiring journey truly re-energizes us, empowering us to face life with renewed strength and diligence. I believe this is precisely the meaning of why we embark on journeys!
I am just an ordinary traveler, and I wrote this review purely out of gratitude for the profound kindness and genuine sincerity I encountered. I generally rarely write reviews. I've even specially included a photo with the host family, hoping everyone will support their business. There haven't been many tourists lately, but my experience was absolutely phenomenal.

GGuest UserThe owner is very nice and helpful. He responds to messages immediately and is always responsive. He also provides pick-up and drop-off. The room is very clean and the environment is beautiful. I slowed down and enjoyed the scenery. The style is very fitting for the name of the hotel. It is an elegant and carefree place. There are tatami mats that the children love, fishing in the rice fields, ethnic costumes, delicious young chicken, and rice wine that they can't drink enough. The owner even picked wild cabbage for the children. Overall, it was a wonderful experience here.

GGuest UserThis guesthouse at Jinkeng Dazhai, Longji Rice Terraces, was absolutely fantastic – a truly exceptional experience from start to finish. The room was spotless, with great natural light and ventilation, making for a very comfortable stay. What truly blew me away was the 270-degree panoramic view; the terraced fields stretched out as far as the eye could see. Every photo I took looked like it belonged in a magazine. The scenery, whether by day or at dusk, was so beautiful I didn't want to leave.
The owners were incredibly warm and genuine. Not only did they provide transfers to and from the parking lot, but they thoughtfully drove us to a scenic viewpoint on the opposite mountain, saving us a tough climb. The food at the guesthouse was authentically delicious, with fresh ingredients and generous portions. The accompanying black tea was fragrant and had a pleasant aftertaste, and their homemade rice wine was excellent – potent but not headache-inducing.
Breakfast was also thoughtfully prepared, exquisite and plentiful, offering a balanced and nutritious start to the day. Eating a hearty meal before exploring the terraces just elevated the whole experience.
Before we left, I casually complimented their rice wine, and the owner surprisingly gave us an extra portion as a gift. This small, unexpected gesture really warmed my heart. If you're looking for a comfortable stay, breathtaking views, and delicious, worry-free food in Longji, this place is definitely the one to choose.

GGuest UserThe views from our room were absolutely stunning! The place was spotlessly clean, and the room's furnishings and facilities were excellent. The plums grown by the owner were incredibly delicious; I took two to try when we left and immediately regretted not buying more to snack on during our drive. The guesthouse also served excellent meals, and the prices were very reasonable. Our family of seven all had a fantastic experience. The guesthouse's location is truly unbeatable; it seems to be the only inn situated closest to the No. 2 Heavenly Ladder viewpoint. We only realized after arriving at Longji that booking an inn in the wrong location can be incredibly inconvenient.

the room was spacious and very clean and comfortable (although the mattress on the bunk beds were too hard)
its quite high up and there's a lot of steps to climb. pro tip: bring duffel bags or anything else that isn't a heavy luggage bag, as the climb up/down with those is a tough one

JJingcaisunjianThe location is great, just a seven or eight-minute walk from the Ping'anzhai observation deck. The scenery is absolutely stunning, surrounded by mountains. Opening the balcony door from your room feels like you're living in the clouds.
We went during the off-season, so there weren't many people. The guesthouse has a traditional Chinese architectural style, all solid wood, and the materials used are very substantial.
The only downside is that you have to park in a designated parking lot quite far from the hotel, pay a high parking fee, and then buy an electric cart ticket to get up there. You can clearly drive up yourself, which I found very confusing and inconvenient.

Every detail is meticulously thought out, perfectly blending minimalist elegance with the wild beauty of the mountains. The service is attentive and thoughtful, making you feel incredibly welcome.
The food here uses fresh, authentic ingredients, and it was easily the most enjoyable meal I had in Guilin.
The location is superb, with magnificent terraced fields enveloped in mist right outside the window. Waking up to the gentle fog and birdsong in the morning, you're fully immersed in the fresh embrace of nature, which cures all weariness. It's an absolutely perfect spot for sightseeing or a getaway, truly the top choice for a mountain retreat. I plan to bring my parents here next time.

LLeonie WigleyI had an absolutely wonderful stay here. I went out of season, so I was the one of the only guests for two days, this made if even more special. if you travel during rainy season make sure to have rainboots and rain proof coats etc. The nights and mornings can get very cold so prepare warm clothes. The family helped me from booking a local shuttle bus from Yangshuo to arrive and departing and also picked me up on my day of arrival from the park entrance. The Homestay is quite far up the hills, not very easy to find you need to carpool or ask owners to help with scooter ride, but the views and people make it all the worthwhile. It is close to many hiking trails and view points. The family welcomed me with so much love the room was exactly as it said. Their food and pricing is also very affordable. They family is of the local ethnicity and they gave me an up-close view in their lives and their traditional ways. I tasted their rice wine, chilli paste , traditional tea and bamboo rice and many other delicious foods. The owners and family are very helpful and if you have any questions, or want to know more of need to get to a certain part of the area they are happy to help. This family and their black dog filled my heart with so much love and gratitude. Note for for foreign travelers: They don't speak English, but do not let this scare you if you are a foreigner, translator apps are helpful if you can't understand the language.
Overall, I highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful, tranquil and family-like feeling enjoy the outdoors and nature. I will definitely be going back!

GGuest UserThe views from both the restaurant and the rooms are absolutely breathtaking. We could see the stunning 'Seven Stars with Moon' landscape, and in the morning, we were even treated to a beautiful sea of clouds. The hostess is an incredible cook; all the dishes we ordered, like the bamboo tube rice, bamboo tube chicken, and green pepper beef, were delicious. Breakfast was excellent too! The owners and their family were so warm and welcoming. This is hands down the best homestay I've ever stayed at. I definitely plan to return if I get the chance!

GGuest UserThis is the second time I have come to Longji. I lived on the edge of the Five Tigers in Kowloon last time. I didn’t climb to the mountain much. However, that one is a mountain view, that is, the room does not have terraces. Therefore, this time I want to say that I will try it in Ping'an Village. This should be an old hotel, but the sanitary landscape is first-class. Although unlike the Kowloon Five Tigers, you can take the shuttle bus to the hotel entrance, but this one will only take two minutes to get off the bus. The hotel’s food is cooked by the proprietress. The hotel’s pick-up service is the boss’s own responsibility. The bed linen and bath towels are very clean and the water is very hot. The large balcony is even more direct to the terraces, the price is super high, it is recommended. Figure 1 and 2 are taken from the balcony, super beautiful. . By the way, there are many shops on the Kowloon Five Tigers that borrow folk costumes, a set of 20 yuan, really, come here, it is still very good to borrow a set of photos.
