GGuest UserThe B&B is located on the top of the mountain, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows for close viewing of the terraced fields. The distance to the two viewing platforms is very close. The room pictures on the platform are real, with a simple style, integrated with the surrounding natural environment, and more beautiful when you are there. The boss is a local, a kind and simple ethnic minority, and he cooks delicious food. When you chat with him, he will tell you about the local folk customs and tell you where it is more worth visiting. It is a very good accommodation experience.

GGuest UserA family ran hotel with brand new amenities and really great views of the Jinkeng village rice terraces if you book the rooms with views. We only stayed for one night but we really appreciated the warm hospitality from the host family. The food, breakfast and dinner, were both quite good. Logistically, you have to contact the hotel to pick you up from the entrance of the Jinkeng village (bottom of the cable car) then it’s only a short 5-7 mins drive from there. We called the hotel thru our driver and everything worked out smoothly. Another highlight is that from this hotel, you can trek for about 40 mins thru the village and rice terrace to get to the highest viewing platform of the Jinkeng village. It was a bit of a workout but the views along the way was really worth it. The owner will send u a detailed guide of how to get there so you won’t get lost. Overall I would highly recommend for the views and the opportunity to trek a little deeper into the village and terraces and enjoy the tranquility there.

GGuest UserThe homestay in Dongzhai is very distinctive and not commercialized at all. The boss and the proprietress are very good. After dinner at night, it is too supportive. I also invited us to drink tea. When I left the next day, I bought the boss’s house. The air was fresh, quiet and comfortable.

GGuest UserThis guesthouse is absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend it! The owner was incredibly kind and attentive. Noticing our heavy luggage, he immediately offered to help us carry it, displaying truly warm and thoughtful service. It offers excellent value for money; the rooms are well-equipped and incredibly comfortable. The location is also incredibly convenient, just a short distance from two scenic viewpoints, saving us a lot of travel time. Traveling with our child, we needed to extend our check-out by two hours, and the owner graciously agreed, showing immense understanding for the challenges of parenting on the go. He even surprised our child with their favorite passion fruit, which made them incredibly happy. Overall, our experience was flawless!

MMezhlumianAMAZING😍 This is an incredible place! The hotel is perfectly situated with the best views. The rooms are new, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed. The staff are incredibly friendly and always ready to assist. The food at the restaurant is absolutely delicious! You can just relax there and soak in the magnificent views. There's a nearby viewing platform perfect for capturing stunning photos. And a beautiful swimming pool offering panoramic terrace views! Everything here is simply perfect! CCarlyMama and I had such a great experience here on our 3-day (2-night) trip to the 龙脊 rice terraces. Cannot recommend these guys enough! They were so friendly from the start and service was AMAZING. We got quite lucky with our room. We were able to catch the sunrise every morning coming over the “back of the dragon”. Location was great too, being not too far from the 九龙五虎 and 七星半月 observation decks. Aside from the view, the place was clean with the usual amenities. Their home-cooked Guilin specialty meals also made for great dinner. Almost everything was home grown and locally sourced, and oh so tasty! They were also great with our check-out and send-off, helping us organise a car/driver to our next stop (Yangshou) and a little farewell token that read “ 一生平安” which translates to “a lifetime of peace and safety”. We even picked up some of their monk fruit (羅漢果) and passion fruit (百香果) before we left! Thank you for making us feel so welcome 西窗月! Highly recommend booking with them! ☺️👌🏼

GGuest UserThe owners and their family were incredibly warm and hospitable. They proactively helped us with our luggage and even offered convenient pick-up and drop-off services to and from the parking lot. Waking up, we could enjoy the breathtaking 'Seven Stars Accompanying the Moon' scenery directly from our balcony. Dining in the restaurant was also a delightful experience, boasting equally spectacular views. And the breakfast? It was incredibly generous and delicious – truly fantastic!

JJulieHad an incredible stay here! The views are stunning (probably one of the best out of all the other accommodations nearby), the room was clean and the service was friendly. It's a family owned business and everyone is lovely. If you're taking a bus, it won't drop you all the way to the hotel but if you give the hotel a call, someone can come pick you up from the bus stop. I had a bit of a miscommunication with my previous hotel who arranged a coach for us that dropped us off at a very far away drop off point and someone still came and picked us up from there with no complaints (and did not charge us for it)!! We were also dropped back off at the bus stop on the day we left. No one spoke much English which made it a little harder, but we got by with a translator app. There are quite a few stairs to go up to get to the hotel which isn't great if you have lots of heavy luggage so I'd recommend packing lightly if possible. Having said that, if you have average fitness, you should be fine getting up and down the stairs, the trek is not too long. The views are definitely worth it! Would stay again for sure.

TThorstenThe name of the hostel is One Family, and that is exactly what you will get here, since the second day I found myself sitting at the table with the whole family running the place feeling sort of part of this family. On top of that, the owner is part of the local minority living in Ping'ancun, so culturally it doesn't get more authentic than this! But what I truly want to stress is the kindness and helpfulness of the owner's son (whose name I unfortunately have forgotten). He gave me a lot of interesting insights about the history and culture of Ping'ancun, which was truly fascinating. In addition, he gave me advice about my travels, and, ultimately, I would follow his tips seeing some of the most outstanding places in China. So, if you need info and tips about a China travel itinerary, you are also at a good place here. Lastly, the room was like being in a hut on top of a mountain. Surely not as luxurious as other hotels in the area, yet again if you look for something authentic, go here.
