"We were here with the family. The host is very friendly and helpful. We had the Hugo double apparatus, it is nicely furnished and has access to the beautiful garden. In principle the location is good. A supermarket can reach with in foot. A beach is very close, but this is not as beautiful as others on the island. The street right behind the wall you can hear too. In sum a good deal that you can absolutely book"

"Residence Argine is truly a hidden gem in Mahé. We had a fantastic accomodation to stay. The staff is amazing and very helpful. We are really greatful for them. The rooms are clean, comfortable so the bathrooms. Both bedrooms have a climate and a ceiling fan too. The kitchen is well-equipped and cozy. The food is amazing. Both the a la carte menu and the dinner is delicious."

Hotel la Roussette ★★★

"Due to missing our main flight from Mahe International Airport, as the weather conditions delayed our island hopper plane from Praslin. At 22:00hrs at night we were in desperate need of a place to stay. Luckily Hotel La Roussette managed to get us in. We got a taxi from the taxi rank at the airport for 500rupees and headed literally 10-12mins to the hotel. Once we arrived as it was tipping it down with rain we were greeted with pure kindness handed a warm dry towel and quickly shown to our room. We were in the hotel for a matter of hours before catching our next flight. However, the room was clean and tidy. Perfectly working air-conditioning unit. The shower was very good. It was dark when we arrived however our room overlooked the swimming pool in which was beautifully lit up. The towel decor at the end of the bed made me smile after a rather hectic time trying to book flights. Also felt incredibly safe in the complex. Big tip, think twice about booking a holiday in rainy season dec-Feb. Fortunately we were there from the middle of November the weather was incredible. As soon a December came so did the rain! Thank you once again for helping our in a time of need 🥰"

"Definitely a good structure and very kind staff. Good a la carte breakfast and dinner too. Convenient location for touring the south of the island and for the airport. Nice view from the sea-facing rooms. The sea in front is not suitable for swimming. In my opinion a bit too expensive for a hotel of this type, which remains rather basic."

"Been there for two separate stints, the first 3 nights of my stay and the very last night. The rooms are vary spacious and offer a kitchen too, alongside the bedroom and the bathroom (my last one also had a living room). The staff is friendly and helpful and there are some cute and friendly pets around (4 giant tortoises, a cute fluffy cat and a chubby doggo). Just be aware: you will need a car or a bus card to move around, it is in the middle of nowhere, very few places to eat around the facility (the only one within walking distance is the over expensive "lobster bay")."

Dar and Douce ★★★

"I made a mistake. I clicked March instead of April when making my reservation. It was a stupid mistake. We're in the middle of a nine month trip and mistakes will be made. When we didn't show for an 8 day stay in March, Dar and Douce made no effort to reach out. Instead they pocketed my entire $700+ and refused to even discuss a fair settlement. Most properties will keep a night for no shows and refund the rest. But Dar and Douce is not most properties. Instead Peter mocked my request, lied about how busy he was, made up some lie about FIFA needing rooms that week that he couldn't sell because he was waiting every day for us to show up. When I told this story to another property owner I met on the island, he laughed when I told him what property was involved and exclaimed "What a liar!" Apparently Peter's reputation preceded him. Again, I know I messed up. But there is no reason this had to be a $700 mistake...unless you do business with a peter who works at dar and douche. Stay away. I can only imagine the contempt they must have for their guests. "
