Probably no, as bathing outside though is an experience, not really suitable for us. Dont let this be a deterent to whoever is going to stay there. It maybe your preference 😆. If you staying there, make sure visit Coffee Camp. Their coffee is the best coffee I had during my trip to Tokyo. Tips: There is shortcut from Gora station to cafe."

"My main reason for choosing Hotel Indigo was the expectation that a foreign hotel would offer more diverse food options than traditional Japanese cuisine, and that the rooms would be more modern. Both expectations were met, which was great. However, the hotel's location is quite remote, making it difficult to walk to Gora Station. Thankfully, the hotel provides a shuttle service to the station from 10 AM to 6 PM. If you plan to take the shuttle to Odawara, remember to book it in advance at the front desk. There's also an unsightly warehouse-like structure next to the hotel, which is a bit of a letdown considering how secluded the location already is – it really spoils the view. Around 90% of the guests here seem to be Western tourists, likely in groups, as the breakfast area was almost full before 8 AM. For dinner, we decided to eat near Gora Station and had some excellent unagi (eel) rice. A taxi back to the hotel cost us 700 yen. For first-time visitors to Hakone, I'd recommend staying in Hakone-Yumoto instead, as it's livelier, offers more dining choices, and has more convenient transportation. Also, the hotel's public bath is mixed-gender, requiring you to bring your own swimwear or borrow special attire from the front desk, which I found a bit inconvenient, so I didn't end up using it."

Hotel Green Plaza Hakone
"We stayed here for one night as a group of three and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned, but it was clean, well maintained, and had a charming, traditional atmosphere. We booked a Japanese-style room with futons. The room was spacious and divided into two separate areas, giving us plenty of room to relax. We had a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji from our room, and the hotel’s Japanese garden also offered great views of the mountain. Setting up the futons ourselves was easy, and the room was equipped with yukatas, towels, and slippers for visiting the onsen. The staff were friendly, spoke good English, and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Both the onsen and the dinner buffet were included in the room rate, which made the stay feel like excellent value. We enjoyed the buffet before heading to the onsen. There was an impressive selection of dishes—almost too many to choose from! Most of the food was Japanese, and while not every dish stood out, everything we tried was good. Alcoholic drinks were available for an additional charge and were not included with dinner. The onsen was definitely the highlight of our stay. There are separate bathing areas for men and women, and the rules were clearly explained, making it easy to use even as first-time visitors. The facilities were clean and included both indoor and outdoor baths. From the outdoor bath on the men’s side, we had a fantastic view of Mt. Fuji. We had read reviews saying the mountain was only visible from the women’s side, but that wasn’t our experience. Relaxing in the hot spring while looking at Mt. Fuji was unforgettable. The changing and washing areas were clean, and the opening hours were generous. Tattoos are not permitted in the onsen, so it’s best to bring your own tattoo cover stickers if you need them. They are also available for purchase at the front desk, although we found them to be a little expensive. The hotel is located quite far from central Hakone, so it’s worth allowing plenty of travel time. However, it’s easy to reach by bus, and it’s also located right next to the Hakone Ropeway station, making it very convenient for visiting the area’s main attractions. We didn’t use the hotel’s shuttle service because the walk from the nearby bus stop was only a couple of minutes. One thing to keep in mind is that there aren’t any convenience stores or other shops within walking distance, so it’s a good idea to buy anything you might need before arriving. Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay. Compared to many other hotels in the Hakone area, this one was noticeably more affordable, and we felt it offered excellent value for money considering everything that was included. If you’re looking for a traditional onsen experience with incredible views of Mt. Fuji, this hotel is an excellent choice."

"We stayed in a few Ryokans but this Yoshiike Ryokan is the best because the room have large window that allow fresh mountain air to flow into the room and the futons are incredibly comfortable and warmed. We came in January when the weather dropped to 0c and the room had heaters. The onsen is beautiful and natural. My wife loved the gardens. And the receptionists are very polite and happy. We loved happy people that makes your money well spend. Will come back in the winter."

"I stayed here to celebrate my birthday. I wanted to relax, so I requested a room with an open-air bath, but there was a small problem, which was disappointing... But! The service after that was what you would expect from a first-class inn. After arriving, I was able to enjoy the open-air bath on the roof while watching the sunset over the edge of the mountain and the trajectory of airplanes heading west. I love Yugawara because of the good quality of the spring water, and the forest bathing effect of the location surrounded by mountains made it more relaxing than ever, and it was the most luxurious and blissful time. The open-air bath on the roof was extremely comfortable, and since I stayed on a Friday, there were not many other guests, so I had the large bath all to myself for a while. We had dinner and breakfast at the venue, but there was a staff member at the table seating in the private room. The wet conversation was also fun, and I felt that it added even more to the delicious food. Later, there was a small problem with the bath in the room later in the day, but the assistant manager dealt with it politely despite it being late at night, and the service afterwards was what you would expect from a first-class inn. The inn itself is a little old because it is a long-established establishment, and we had to change elevators to get from our room to the dining venue, which was confusing in places, but it was clean, the food was delicious as I mentioned earlier, and we had a great time, so we were very satisfied. There were many Western guests, and they were all well-mannered, so we were able to spend a comfortable time there. In addition to the polite hospitality, the service you would expect from a first-class inn is truly impressive. We are already talking about returning in another season. There are many good inns in Okuyugawara, but I think this is one in particular that you will definitely be satisfied with."

The atmosphere was quiet and elegant, with a wide selection of drinks and professional bartending. A slight buzz while gazing at the mountain views was incredibly soothing. With attentive service and a tranquil environment, it's definitely worth coming back for the food and bar alone!"
