The Scenery Residence
"This is an amazing home away from home. The rooms are very comfortable and beautifully set up. The views of Mount Meru are great and the pool really adds to the property. Lastly, the beds are amazing. Ellen and her team do a great job to make you feel at home."
Rafiki Retreat
"Don't go to the hotel. To reach there is to climb everest. The worst road I have ever seen to reach a hotel. They charge inadvertently And worst of all it 1.5 hours away from arusha"
Ayasophia Wildlife Villa
"Our stay at Aya Sophia Wildlife Villa became one of the most unforgettable highlights of our entire African journey. We originally booked our stay without early check-in, but thanks to the team’s incredible hospitality, everything turned out absolutely perfect. A very special thank-you goes to Ahmed, who made the impossible possible and arranged early check-in for us despite the villa being fully booked. There were seven of us, and we were welcomed with such warmth and care that we immediately felt at home. We were served a delicious breakfast right upon arrival — our deepest gratitude to the kitchen team for preparing such fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented dishes. By the evening, another group of 40 of our friends joined us — a huge team — and yet the villa handled everything flawlessly. Every detail was meticulously organized by the Aya Sophia Wildlife Villa team: — lunches, — dinners, — seating arrangements, — perfect timing, — beautiful setups, — and smooth coordination. The dinner by the pool was simply magical — beautifully arranged, atmospheric, delicious, and perfectly executed. Our very first day became a memory we will cherish forever. We also enjoyed two unforgettable experiences — breakfast and lunch surrounded by wildlife. These were moments of pure magic, the kind you can only experience here. So close to nature, so beautifully organized, and so deeply emotional — Aya Sophia Wildlife Villa allowed us to see the true soul of Africa. The staff deserves the highest praise — friendly, warm, always smiling, always ready to help. Every interaction was filled with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. The accommodation exceeded all expectations. Our villas were incredibly spacious, elegant, and comfortable. Each person had: — their own bathroom, — their own walk-in closet, — their own personal space, which made our stay peaceful and relaxing. No one disturbed anyone, and the entire group lived in complete comfort. This was truly the best accommodation experience we’ve had in Africa. I will wholeheartedly recommend Aya Sophia Wildlife Villa to all my friends and clients — for the exceptional service, outstanding food, perfect organization, spacious villas, and that special atmosphere that only a place filled with soul can create. Aya Sophia Wildlife Villa — thank you for giving us an Africa we will never forget."
Meru View Lodge
"The lodge is peacefully nestled in a well-maintained park. It was ideal for our upcoming Kilimanjaro climb: the bungalow was spacious, which proved very practical as we had to repack our various suitcases. The staff was friendly and attentive, accommodating our special requests. A further plus: many items are made in-house, which is very important to the management."
Masailand Safari Lodge
"The staff were pleasant and helpful. Special attention was given by Obama Obadiah. Although there wasn't much information given about the services offered when we first arrived, we had to ask. It would be good to have the services described, such as meal times. The atmosphere of the location is beautiful and peaceful. The sharleys are spacious and with good privacy."
Rivertrees Country Inn
"Beautiful location. Rooms were comfortable. Common areas were nice. Overall a great experience. The hotel staff was not the friendliest. Restaurant staff was amazing. Emanuel was exceptional. Always ahead of us. He anticipated our needs. Provided exceptional service. His service was a 5+. I wish the check out staff would have been as customer oriented."
Kili Seasons Hotel
"We stayed at Kili Seasons for our first few days in Tanzania. The hotel was amazing and the staff even better. We arrived late on the first night but the kitchen thoughtfully left out some food for our arrival. Delicious and just what we needed after a long journey. The rooms were spacious, well laid out and super comfortable. In the restaurant Ngoshi really made us feel welcome and Chef William's cuisine was outstanding. We were away on tours most of the time but what we saw of the hotel and its facilities made us wish we'd been staying longer and could experience the hotel."
Elanacha Hotel
"We stayed in this hotel the night before our safari. The positives are the size of the bed, cleanliness and the staff were very nice. However, the sound echo’s throughout the corridors so if someone is talking it sounds very loud and inevitably wakes you up very early (6am in our case). There is also a window at the top of the door which allows the light to come in. This means that if someone walks in the corridor in the night or early in the morning, the sensor is triggered for the light and it wakes you up. You can also hear the road traffic very clearly through the single glazed windows. There were constant power cuts throughout our stay, which they said were due to them having works on the generator. This resulted in the shower never being able to warm up so it was impossible to have a hot shower. Sadly this also meant you couldn’t use the lift in case you got stuck so be careful if you need it (there are 5 floors). Finally, we went to breakfast at 7.30 (the time we were told it opens) and all the food had been eaten. There were no clean tables, hot drinks or anything left. The chef did try and make us breakfast which was kind, although it took 25 minutes and we were pushed for time which made it difficult. We also had to ask for clean cups and cutlery. It’s a shame because I think the hotel has great potential and is clean but there were so many things that went wrong for us, I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here."
Mateves Boutique Lodge
"Highly Recommend! I was traveling with a group of 6 motorcycle riders and the tour agency #IRideArusha. We stayed 2 nights. Great location! Super helpful staff. Cannot speak high enought about Esther, the manager. I arrived at the lodge with the start of a stomach virus. Ester stayed with me checked on me, and sat with me. It is scary enough to be sick at home...but in a foreign country... I never felt alone or scared. Esther worked with the lead from the #iRide Arusha tour agency. Between the two of them. I was feeling a lot better by the time I left. Would love to go back so I can really enjoy the lodge!"

Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge
"I’m writing this review while I’m still at the resort. Despite a short stay, the experience and service are absolutely amazing. Food is fabulous and our graceful server Sharifa is very attentive to eat of our needs. The food is very fresh and delicious. I had the luck to have a massage and Florida was the best. She is very experienced and skillful wit her therapy. Der is an avid and knowledgeable bird watching guide. Despite the short time we spent with him, he pointed out many different types of birds and I learned a lot. The lodge is beautiful, has may facilities and the room is large and beautiful decorated with local materials. I’ll give it a 5 stars. Will definitely come back again if I make a second trip."
Olerai Lodge
"The setting, service and amenities are all first rate. The food is even better. It’s served buffet style, and is hugely varied with many vegetables and English, Indian, French and Swahili options."
