"For the third time in a row, we spent the New Year's holiday as a family at the Sunstar Hotel Arosa. And this time too, all I can say is: simply great! Of course, skiing is the main focus for us and the children at this time of year. In this hotel, the ski school is included free of charge, which is of course a huge plus from a purely financial point of view with 2 children, and it's also not so tragic if the children don't feel like it and want to do something else. Because there are so many things you can do as a family here, like great walks around the lake in the center, the squirrel path - and of course the many options within the hotel, which are great for children. Well-heated swimming pool, bowling alley, and the absolute highlight is a huge games room, which becomes a general meeting place for the children, especially in the evenings. Yes, you could say that the 24 hours in a day are often barely enough for the children to do everything they want, and every evening the kids fall into bed totally tired and content. And lo and behold, during this holiday we didn't miss the iPad, which we hadn't even brought with us. However, I would also like to stress that the friendliness of the staff, the quality of the meals, the abundance of the morning buffet, the evening entertainment over the New Year and the hotel's infrastructure in general offer everything you could wish for. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Sunstar team for the wonderful time and we wish the long-standing directors Rolf & Philomena Bucher all the best for their future endeavours!! "An amazing experience at a fantastic hotel! The staff were all incredible, especially coping with a medical emergency i had upon arrival! Swift action, straight to medical centre and problem resolved! The rest of the week was a joy - amazing food in the restaurant, possibly the best spa we have ever attended, stunning views, piste & winter hiking trails access directly at the back of hotel. Professional, caring & super friendly staff interactions all week - from the restaurants, to desk staff, cleaning teams, everyone... A very family and yet high level care experience. We would love to return time and again - as the saying there goes - 'Once is not enough'. Thank you!!"

"Perfectly situated close to the train station, ski rental shop, chair lift and cable car. Can literally ski back down to the door. Staff were super-friendly and the rooms were comfortable and clean. We were on the first floor but not notably noisy from the restaurant. Highly recommended for a ski holiday."

"The hotel was well located, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we had a negative experience with one receptionist on the morning of December 30. We asked if our room could be cleaned as it was very dusty, but she responded aggressively, saying we should have informed them upon arrival. Her tone made us feel as though we were asking for a free stay rather than a standard service, and she came across as quite rude. Aside from this incident, the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was nice"

"The trip from Chur to Arosa by train is an enchantment, and the enchantment continued when we arrived at the hotel. We just wanted to have a relaxing week-end, away from it all, preferably in lovely surroundings preferably involving a tasty dinner. This is exactly what we found at Blatter's Bellavista ! The hotel is full of charm, decorated in a lovely alpine chalet theme. We had a cozy room with fantastic views on the mountains which we could admire from the chaises longues on our private balcony. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom spotless. We had an excellent dinner at "Le Petit" , the restaurant of the hotel. Everybody at the hotel from the receptionists to the grooms and the waiters at the restaurant were extremely friendly and helpful, it was like staying at friends' or family"
