"We stayed at the hotel for one night to attend the Suzan & Freek concert. What a wonderful experience it was! Top-notch service and a really warm welcome, complete with a handwritten note on the bed for my daughter. A small gesture with a big impact. All the hotel staff are genuinely friendly and attentive, which gives a very homely feel. Breakfast was also excellent! We can also recommend the location; it's conveniently central, right opposite the station and close to the city center. We will definitely be back!"

"We stayed only one night - one Comfort room and one Luxury room at the coach house - but it was lovely. We had a 3-course set dinner (it might be a bit of a push for children) paired with wine in two of the courses. It was lovely. Rooms are comfortable and cosy, with medium sized, simple but cute bathrooms. The hotel rooms acoustics aren’t amazing - or maybe guests coming in late in the night could have been more considerate. We were awakened twice by loud steps and voices coming into the building. Breakfast was fine. There’s many parking spaces outside but only 2 vehicle charging stations."

"Waren mit unserer 7-jiger Tochter dort. The hostel is very nice and per bike also super between the center and Burgers'zoo and Hoge Veluwe NP. The atmosphere was great, staff friendly, you can park free. The breakfast was not alarming, but perfectly enough. With a drink from the bar you can get out. There is a closed bike garage, which is however almost a little too narrow. The rooms are simple. We had over 30 degrees of external temperature. Unfortunately, what really was a problem here was that only you could kick the upper mini window (!). So it cooled then in the afterward from over 30 to 28 degrees or so in the room. You couldn't let anything pass because there was no window to open at the corridor. You just have to be aware of this in summer!"

"Great place to stay, we really enjoyed the accommodation. Check-in went smoothly, and then we were given a ride to the lodge in a golf cart with our bags. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Breakfast was delivered to the door each morning in a cool box. Dietary requirements were handled. All in all, it was a good experience. I didn't have too much trouble finding the place. There is a small parking area for guests outside the large barn style building. Apparently, it was used as an aircraft hanger during WW2. "

"I had a very comfortable stay at Haarhuis; I extended one night, and would have stayed a third had the hotel not been fully booked. Check-in and also enquiries at front-desk were dealt with in a friendly and efficient way. A busy hotel when I visited - not at all surprising! - but room was quiet and restful, exactly what I needed. In what was a very hot period of weather, I appreciated the airconditioning, though it took a long while to cool the room. TV did not include BBC channels. For guests who desire a solid, firm mattress, be aware that the bed had a kind of soft mattress topper. Comments refer to Room 001. Great service. Super location for me, opposite the central train station."

"Beautifully located hotel, right in the middle of the woods. The surroundings are incredibly peaceful and relaxing, with birds singing everywhere. We really enjoyed taking a little walk around the grounds and simply enjoying the calm atmosphere. Our room was spacious, comfortable and had beautiful views over the gardens. However, the room was not in the main building and was quite difficult to find. Unfortunately, the directions we were given were confusing, and we spent more than 20 minutes trying to locate it before having to return to reception and ask someone to show us the way. We didn't get the chance to try dinner because the restaurant stopped serving quite early, around 8pm. We had other plans and expected to be able to have dinner at around 9pm, so it would have been useful to know about the early closing time in advance. The dinner also seemed quite expensive. We found breakfast quite basic and not very tasty. Despite these minor issues, this is definitely a place I would recommend for a peaceful and relaxing weekend surrounded by nature."

My biggest complaint is the lack of soundproofing; I could hear conversations from the next room as if they were right beside me. "We stayed in room 315 on April 30-May 2. This hostel felt like summer camp due to the ambience, amenities, and location. It's in a residential area, but feels more secluded because it's on a hill surrounded by trees. The shower is on a timer that requires pushing a button every minute to keep the water flowing, but it never got hot. The open design also left water all over the floor. Pros - bamboo toilet paper, inexpensive Cons - no accessible outlets, location, shower"

"No wifi or TV when we arrived. Had to wait 4-5 hours for Wifi to be resolved (we decided to give up on TV and use our laptop), not the best start to our new years eve. Huts are joined to neighbors, so you can hear each other. We got the impression the huts are detached from the *********** listing. Lack of privacy: front of hut has no curtain, so people walking by can see you. Woke up cold to a power cut, but this was back on after a few hours. We accept these things happen and appreciate the managers efforts to help us, but we decided to check out two days early and won't be returning."
