"We stayed in room 315 on April 30-May 2. This hostel felt like summer camp due to the ambience, amenities, and location. It's in a residential area, but feels more secluded because it's on a hill surrounded by trees. The shower is on a timer that requires pushing a button every minute to keep the water flowing, but it never got hot. The open design also left water all over the floor. Pros - bamboo toilet paper, inexpensive Cons - no accessible outlets, location, shower"

"We found this easy to find unlike other reviewers; go past the various barns and houses to the very end of the lane and turn right where you see the small sign. Very friendly check in. Our lodge was no 6 (described as Bosrand type) and was very comfortable in a peaceful location. One side of the lodge is full windows facing the forest and in summer the windows can open up. As it was winter, we made use of the heated flooring and radiator and it was very cosy. There is a small kitchenette with 2 hob rings, kettle, coffee machine, small fridge. Enough equipment for basic cooking - being picky a toaster would be useful. We didn’t take the breakfast option which was €15pp, instead we made our own scrambled eggs. The bed was large and comfortable, with blackout curtains making the place very dark & quiet (except occasional extractor fan and boiler noise). The Tv was a bit difficult to use but eventually worked out how to log in to Netflix. We rented E-bikes to visit Veluwe which is a short cycle away. Entry to the park is €13 and there are free bikes within but we were glad of the electric ones! Plenty of other attractions nearby incl burgers zoo, open air museum & Arnhem. We ate in Il lupo one night, which is intimate (maybe 10 tables) but cosy and seemed fully booked so definitely reserve. The menu is limited (handful of pizza & pasta dishes) but the food was delicious as was the Aperol spritz & wine. The whole site is tranquil and well located with friendly staff - I would visit again."

"We had a Velvet Wellness King room (506) and it was incredible. It was on the top floor, we had a balcony, whirlpool bath (amazing) AND our own sauna in our room! We arrived early to the hotel, and asked if they could keep hold of our bags so we could go and explore, but our room was ready early! The hotel is gorgeous - right opposite Arnhem Centraal. I was staying with my teenage son for a concert at the Gelredome and it was perfectly place - 5 minutes in an Uber, or a 35 minute straight walk. We would love to stay here again!"

"We normally often stay in large(er) business hotels, but at the invitation of friends we ended up in this great family hotel. What an atmosphere on this estate, you really feel like a guest. That starts with the welcome, the great smooth and friendly service in the brasserie, the wonderful 8-course dinner in the restaurant (less courses are also possible, but it is incomprehensible that this restaurant does not have a Michelin star, because what is offered is certainly star-worthy) and There too, smooth and pleasant service and ditto sommelier. The room was very attractive and the quiet environment around the hotel is the basis for a good night's sleep. Fortunately, everything at the breakfast buffet is available in small quantities, which are always replenished very adequately. We like that, because we don't like giant buffets with a lot of digging. Groot Warnsborn has an excellent understanding of what hospitality means and exudes it in all its facets. A hotel and restaurant to come back to."

"The room heater didn't work. I told the front desk twice on the day of arrival, but it still didn't work overnight. It didn't work until the morning when I reported it to the front desk again. During breakfast, I asked a Chinese-speaking Singaporean guest, who had the same heater problem last night. However, I was lucky. After reporting it to the front desk, I turned it on and off repeatedly and it started working."

"Hello, I made a reservation via an application with this establishment from Thursday 01/18/2024 to Friday 01/19/2024. On the way I contacted the establishment to warn them of a potential delay due to a slowdown (accidented vehicles). The person's response was positive and understanding. However, I was asked to call the establishment back later (6:30 p.m.) in order to keep them informed of developments. When I contacted the establishment again as agreed, a (another) very unhappy employee first told me that the establishment's reception closed at 7 p.m. and that this information was stipulated on their site. To which I replied that my delay was due to an accident on the road and that it was impossible for me to predict it. This employee told me to call the establishment again once I arrived and that they would come and welcome me. 20 minutes later, I was contacted by the establishment (a manager) to explain to me that there would be no one to welcome me and that I would have to find another alternative accommodation and that a note had been left in order to reimburse me. As of now (February 3), I have still not been reimbursed by this establishment. The service of an establishment is also measured by its quality when things do not go as planned."
