Beautiful hotel in Lara antalya

Just home after 2 weeks at this hotel with family and we had a brilliant time! I have provided my honest review below… This hotel should not be advertised as 5 star. A 4 star would be fair as there is room for improvements. Rooms: A bit tired, in need of refurbishment. We were on the 8th floor and the furniture is a bit worn and showing signs of wear/ looks like they haven’t had anything done to them in recent years. Paint around windows and walls cracking. Lampshades stained. The shower is a good size and there was always hot water. Also glass windows to the front of the hotel are shattered half way up the building. Carpet in hallways stained. Food: Plenty of choice in the main buffet restaurant, snack bars at lunchtime were very good. Kebabs at one and pizza and pasta at the other. We went here everyday to break up always going to the main restaurant so we didn’t get bored. Drinks: Good choice of drinks, providing cans of soft drinks around the hotel and not just in the mini bar would be a good improvement. A lot of good branded drinks and beers served in bottles. Kids club: Very good. Always something on to keep them entertained and felt very secure with the wristband process. We were very impressed with the kids club and the kids in our party loved it. Illness stories are true: To clear up all the feedback of people saying they were getting ill while staying here, we found this to be true. 4 of our party all had symptoms of a sickness bug - high fever, sickness, diarrhoea. Not just a bit of a bad belly this was full on sickness and a high fever with loss of appetite following it. This lasted a full day or 2 days max for each of us. I guess it’s a mix of people having a bug and spreading it through hygiene, hand sanitising stations dotted around the site would help with it being such a large hotel. Something we found annoying was one day half way through our holiday a member of staff came to us at the pool and tried to pressure us into submitting a review on trip advisor and google there and then. I don’t review until the end of my stay to give an accurate and fair feedback on my visit so this was very unprofessional and annoying. A special mention to the rollerblade guy at the Olympic pool mete I think his name was, served us well everyday and was very pleasant and hard working. Also the lady on the pool towel desk she was so friendly and cheery everyday when we met her. She made us smile every morning! All in all we had a good holiday with family but I would definitely say it is fair to say that this hotel is not 5 star and should not be advertising itself as it is until some well needed improvements are made. The price we paid per person £2k for 14 nights I feel was well over what it was worth.

First time staying here at this hotel. Start with the negatives - * If you want a sun lounger be up before 6am as they don’t remove any towels unsupervised like they say they do * food very repetitive - breakfast, lunch and dinner. You also have to wait to be served your drinks and is very difficult when you want a 2nd drink, as they don’t bother to come over again. * children’s food is the same every single lunch and teatime (everyday) * entertainment- awful and thumping all night until at least midnight! If you have young children like myself then you won’t be getting any sleep before then. * music is that loud of a night you cannot talk to the person next to you without shouting at the top of your voice * shops inside hotel are very very expensive - don't buy from here * floors outside are slippery - seen a lot of people fall over - very dangerous * flies constantly at the dinner table and is very annoying when trying to eat * jacuzzi in the indoor pool doesn’t work * cats that have had kittens - roaming around outside and indoors * air conditioning in the room is not very good Now the positives - * room is cleaned & mini bar topped up * kids club - excellent * shops not far from hotel - nice walk away from the loud, thumping music!! We paid a lot of money to come here. Would we come back definitely NOT! Is it a 5* definitely NOT! Some staff are friendly and polite and others just don’t want to be there, which reflects in their attitude.

What an amazing family holiday! After a last minute swap from a different holiday we weren't sure what to expect but we were completely blown away! First food was always delicious. Breakfast was mostly the same but enough choice that it didn't get repetitive. We visited the main buffet for tea most nights and there was lots of choice every night and everything we tried was delicious. For lunches we ate at the snack bars down near the beach which were lovely. The kebabs are so tasty and we had them several times. Always lots on offer with snacks, cakes and fruit too. We also went to the ala carte Italian which was lovely and we left very full. Next pools - we didn't check out all of them as we had our 3 year old with us. Most of time was spent in the splash park or the quieter pool by the main doors. Splash park was amazing, water is freezing but we needed that to cool down from the 42° heat! Our son did have a little bump/cut on eye on one of the smaller sides but the lifeguards, on site doctor and guest relations were really helpful and helped us sort out a hospital visit. The other pool we visited a lot was by the main exit on the lower floor. It was much quieter and easy to keep our little boys face dry while this healed as it had two much more shallow pools that our son could paddle in. Again very cold (as was the indoor pool) but that was refreshing in the heat. Only downside of these pools was as lots of cats live in the hedge there and it smelt quite strongly of cat poo. The kids club! Wow amazing. One of the big things that sold us on this holiday. Lovely and cool in the building with lots of things going on all day. We didn't really go into any of the plannedw activities but there was always plenty going on. The soft play was very clean and lots to do. Lego room was a hit too. The games room could do with a bit of a refresh of board games. The park was amazing all covered from the sun and plenty to keep kids occupied. The kids shows at night were so good! A good variety of acts after the disco. And most nights movies were played til late. The adult entertainment was also some of the best we have seen. We watched the MJ tribute act, BMX show and blanc party were all amazing! Get there about 10 minutes before it starts to get a good seat as it fills up quick. Rooms are comfy and well equipped with the mini bar refilled daily and beds made/towels replaced too. Bit small but it worked for us as a family of 3 who didn't really spend much time in it. Two things that are mentioned on most reviews are the lifts and sunbeds. Just be prepared for a little wait as there are only 5 lifts but we never waited longer than five minutes. As for sunbeds, yes some people put towels down early but we didn't and still managed to get at least two beds daily. We even bed hopped so that we got some shade and didn't struggle to find a couple. But then again it was term time so it might not be the case in the holidays. We are already planning to return ne

Overall everything was great with this hotel. The steak restaurant was expensive but well worth it, the Italian was average. Why they have to charge so much for wine, I do not know. Stick with the house wine, it is just as good. The room was nice, not huge but big enough for three. The coffee stall in the morning is a great idea. My grandkids loved the kids club. I only have one complaint about this hotel and this was the so called entertainment. Our first night we went to the steak restaurant and had our family meal. We then went to the central area where a band was playing and they were first class, it was really pleasant. The band went off and Boom Boom Boom Boom came on. Dance music! which persisted right through our stay. Second night was the white party, Boom Boom Boom Boom again. A couple of nights later it was the retro party. Great maybe we will get some 80's or Abba or similar. No Boom Boom Boom Boom once again. This was the case every night. Sometimes if you were really unlucky they played it round the pool during the day as well. My son who loves dance music was tired of it after a week. It was really tedious. I am no expert but to me it sounded like the DJ only had one record. Fortunately the tune lasted for four hours, so he did not have to do much work. Maybe with the money they are making from the wine they could buy the DJ an album or two. Would I go back to this hotel. Not a chance! The lack of variety of entertainment totally spoiled it. This is a mixed age resort and they should cater to all age groups.
