Fame Residence Lara & Spa

Arrived late evening, family of 4- (2 children aged 20 and 17) both rooms were amended as requested on our booking. (We had booked rooms with a french balcony and realised this was not a balcony we could sit on- this was sorted on arrival- free of charge!) Easy, quick, friendly check in and food offered to us. Hotel and rooms immaculate. Rooms cleaned everyday, mini fridge restocked every day. Safe was used in the room- free of charge! Location amazing! Plenty of shops out of the hotel. My son enjoyed visiting the gym- aged 16+ and trainers to be worn. We visit Turkey often, usually booking trips etc for a change out of the hotel, but the hotel had that much going on we didnt feel the need to venture out and the family was happy to stay in the hotel. Beach was perfect, and had its own snack bar. Foam party was enjoyed on there too. Waffle/jacket potato station was visited often- potatoes were unreal!! We enjoyed the coffee shop, especially to get out of the sun for a rest under the shaded canopy and couches. Food i could not fault- we all ate well and agreed it was the best all inclusive we've had- we've experienced plenty. (1st time my teenager hasn't lived off nuggets and chips for 2 weeks! He ate a variety every night) Sunbeds not a problem before 9am, amazing pools and slides! Not many English whilst we were there, but the hotel had a friendly atmosphere- staff and visitors. Entertainment was enjoyable day and night! We ended our nights on the outdoor terrace with cocktails, bowls of nuts and doritos. (Yes im all for the food) All staff work so so hard and are all a credit to fame residence! From the bar staff, maids to the pool side cleaners, they all looked happy in their jobs. Working non stop in 52 degree heat some days and still smiling. We enjoyed the games room and won amazing prizes at the evening bingo! (Jet ski, photo purchase, games token, and massage- all for 2 lines!! ) I can honestly say- fame residence has been amazing for us from start to finish. Im now home and missing my maid Fame residence was not a hotel that came up as often as others when looking at booking our holiday, which surprises me because I feel it deserves its recognition like other hotels get at lara beach! This hotel deserves 5 starts without any doubts! Beginning from the arrival where you are greeted by the nicest receptionist and the most useful luggage personnel to the very end. The cleanlinese of our room was spectacular, I want to thank again our cleaning lady from the 6 floor (blonde with glasses), she was amazing! We had hearts and swans and rose petals almost everyday. The food is amazing, the fruits taste wonderful. The pools are very clean, the beach is also very clean. All the waiters and the whole personnel speak very good conversational english. Also, the guest relationship is very helpful. I would rate the whole experience 10 out of 10.

The hotel is one of the nicer ones in Lara beach, the rooms are great and the hotel is immaculate the staff don’t stop. We had a 2 bedrooms apartment and it was great for what were needed it for. We were disappointed a little with the building work going on right outside our balcony but that can’t be helped as it was the hotel next door. The pools are good and the slides great! Kids loved them. It’s right in the beach with a bar and food served there too so that’s spot on. The food is of a nice quality but not masses of variety however we always found something nice to eat. Breakfast could be better as there’s not much choice. I do feel a couple of minor adjustments would make all the difference, things like playing music around all the pools would make it a better atmosphere, it’s feels like an adult only hotel sometimes as it’s not very child friendly. Although staff have been great with the kids especially the man who looks after the beach! If they had some freezers dotted around with ice lollies this would have been good as my kids like things like this to cool down and I didn’t want to have to get them an icecream every time. There’s also not much entertainment at the moment and just not much going on, not sure why as the season should have started again. Don’t get me wrong we have enjoyed our holiday but I’m not sure it’s worth what we paid for it. I also don’t think I’d come back. However can’t fault the staff, guest relations team have been checking in with us seeing if we’re ok and if there’s anything they could do for us, we’ve enjoyed our time here but with slight adjustments it would make all the difference!

We were first checked in in a tiny room with no balcony and in a very loust state.. After fighting at the reception and demanding that we receive our sea view room on a high floor as pre requested in the booking, we were moved to a magnificent room on the 5th floor, very spacious with a gorgeous balcony. The worst 2 things are the wifi and room AC. you can't change the temperature and it is already very humid outside, so you basically have to deal with hotness in and outdoors. Wifi connects in ALLLLL areas including the beach, but you have to enter username and passcode every single time you change the hall. Dinner is something out of this worlds. Huge amounts of food with great variety and taste. Breakfast wasn't equally impressive. In the evening there are entertainment shows on the beach. Flies are terrible though but there are complimentary drinks and snacks in almost every corner. The hotel lobby is gorgeous and you get to really enjoy the view and free food, but the weather is almost always humid and unbearable outside. If you take a cab to go to a newby shopping mall (they are plenty) you shall ask the driver to use the meter, they try to suck out cash from tourists. Have visited Turkey for the past 10 years and this was the first time I felt not one Turkish element. I understand German tourists pick this destination alot but I am not German and was so angry that I was greeted my staff with Guten Morgan...no Turkish..no English. Entertainment team sat one sunbed with a favoured guest and not even a hello. Only savour to this holiday was a gorgeous beach and friendly beach bar staff, beach security and the odd waiter in snack bar. Was given wrong room and wouldn't move me and when checked out not even a thanks for visiting just a blunt name..and bye. Make sure your staff include other nationalities I AM NOT GERMAN !!!!

This was our second time in this hotel and it is just amazing. We have stayed in several hotels in Antalya, but this one is by far the best. Great service, great atmosphere, and everything was perfect. We will definitely come back again.
