The room was spacious, bright, and thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials: comfy bed, soft pillows, mini-fridge, and a spot-perfect workspace. The sleep quality was impressive… though, full disclosure, the soundproofing could use an upgrade — I could occasionally hear faint hallway sounds. Nothing deal-breaking, but something to note if you’re a deep sleeper. Location-wise, it’s a winner. Walking distance to Aman Central, local cafés, and Alor Setar Tower made exploring effortless. High floors also offer a lovely city view — perfect for morning coffee or sunset photos. Little touches made my stay memorable: complimentary Wi-Fi that never faltered, modern toiletries, and those small staff gestures that made a difference — smiles, helpful directions, and quick responses whenever I needed something. "I once stayed at this hotel as a stopover when driving into Thailand because I couldn't make it to the border crossing that night. They have a 24-hour front desk; it used to be staffed but is now self-service, which is easy to use. The bed in the room was comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Downstairs, there's a free hot/cold water dispenser, and in the room, there's an electric kettle, two cups, a small fridge, and a TV. There's a Lotus supermarket within walking distance of the hotel. If you're entering or exiting Thailand and it's too late or you're too tired to go home or cross the border, this is a great place to spend the night."

"There was a slight issue during check-in regarding my booking. I had booked a room with breakfast for 2 adults and 1 child, but the front counter mentioned that their system only showed breakfast for 2 adults. After I showed them the details from my Trip.com booking, they still needed some time to recheck before finally confirming it. It was a bit troublesome, but thankfully the matter was resolved. On the positive side, the room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. TV channel options were rather limited, though. The highlight of our stay was definitely the hotel’s flexibility in allowing us a late check-out after afternoon prayer without any hassle or unnecessary questions, which we truly appreciated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would gladly come again in the future."

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable, making it perfect for a relaxing stay. One of the highlights was the beautiful view, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Parking was very convenient and easily accessible for customers, which is a big plus. The receptionist was exceptionally helpful and professional, always ready to assist with any questions. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. "Nice hotel near Pekan Rabu. Has breakfast buffet, but quite basic. There is a big and comfortable lobby, with welcoming coffee and some biscuits. There’s also a Alor Setar foodcourt right behind the hotel for more breakfast options, if you didnt opt for the hotel breaskfast. Room is dated, of average size with no balcony, twin room is bigger than double room. We didnt have a proper wardrobe in our room, only an open space next to the TV, to hang our clothes. The bed is ok, not too soft, pillows are quite comfortable; while the towels are not very thick/plush. A good choice if you wish to walk around to explore Alor Setar town. We walked all the way to the Masjid/Dataran Alor Setar in the morning when it wasnt too hot. Bathroom is quite dated, there was an issue with the drainage when we were there."

"Traveling from Penang to Langkawi, I stayed at this hotel during a layover in Kedah. The bathroom was in poor condition; the underside of the toilet seat had black grime in the crevices. The hotel's facilities are poorly maintained. The water heater broke while I was showering at night, so I had to make do with a cold shower. The front desk did offer to switch rooms, but it was too late, and I was too tired to bother. The room only had a thin blanket, about the same thickness as a bath towel, and no disposable slippers. Furthermore, the soundproofing in the room was terrible; I could clearly hear the sound of an electrical outlet from the neighboring room. There are plenty of food options nearby, including 7-Eleven, Sukiya, FamilyMart, and ZUS COFFEE, which is convenient for dining, but none of them accept WeChat Pay or Alipay. I would advise avoiding this place."

"Has a great day at Frazer heritage hotel.Room was clean and comfy., staff were friendly and breakfast was nice . The only thing was the breakfast option were a bit limited. Overall would definitely stay again 😊"

"Check-in process was smooth, with RM50 deposit required. Free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, though the number of parking spaces is limited. The room was okay for two people but not very spacious. Amenities were very basic — towels, toothbrush, face towel, and facial tissue were not initially provided. I dont know but the towel was not prepared at check-in. After calling the receptionist, I was informed it would be ready at 4pm, but no towel was delivered even after that time. I had to call again, and only then was it sent immediately. But, its a plus point, that the location is very strategic. The hotel is within walking distance to a mall and nearby convenience marts, which is very convenient."

Everything felt neat and tidy upon arrival, and the overall environment was nice. One thing to note is that there is no lift available, which might be inconvenient for some guests. However, you can request a ground floor room from the staff, and they are helpful in accommodating when possible. Overall, it’s a good option if you’re looking for a clean and simple place to stay in Alor Setar."

"A front desk staff member should be able to understand the customer’s needs and follow clear instructions. On that day, I had three bookings. I specifically informed the staff to prioritize my first VIP guest, who is elderly and required immediate access to the room. However, the staff chose to process all the bookings slowly one by one instead of following the instruction given. As a result, my elderly guest had to wait unnecessarily for a long time. In addition, when I entered my own room, I found that the toilet was not properly cleaned and there was hair inside. This was quite disappointing and does not reflect the expected standard of cleanliness. I hope the management can look into this matter and improve the service and housekeeping standards."
