"Wow! What an experience to stay at The Kumaon. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the manager, who gave a sincere and thoughtful overview of the property. The property itself is STUNNING. When we stepped into our room we werenl blown away. The view towards the snow capped Himalayan peaks was incredible. Each room faces the mountains. The food, oh wow, the food!! Can't speak highly enough of the dining experience. If you love birds, like me, there is a plethora because the grounds have been designed to attract so many species with native plants, trees and shrubs. I found over 40 species in just two days. My wife did yoga each morning with Nisha and loved it and her. She would recommend it to anyone because of her skill. There is a reason The Kumaon won a Michelin award. So well deserved! We recommend this place to anybody!"

"We visited it in 2022..Excellent location...very co operative staff...rooms are adequately sized and comfortable and they have adequate heater service(price extra).. but no elevators( a negative if you are travelling with elders)..food is great. But what trumps other hotels in this area is the view of the snowy mountains..a fantastic unobstructed view of snow capped nanda devi,trishul....and a neat little dense pine forest walk beside it...very few explores that forest but let me tell you in a clear day the breath-taking views it provides will make the stay in this hotel a memorable one."
