"Having stayed here several times before and really enjoyed it, we were sad that our latest stay was so disappointing. The warm quirkiness of the hotel and restaurant has gone and been replaced by an uncomfortable formality and lack of generosity. Such a shame."

"We arrived very tired and the owner was very welcoming. We had not booked supper and might have been the only guests but a nice lady rustled up a meal for us. The room was good and our dog was also welcomed. We did not try the sauna. I would stay here again. Note: the entrance looks like a track down the side of the chateau and the sign is difficult to see from one direction at least. "

"Friendly staff. Ample parking. Basic hotel, but more spacious and with a larger bathroom compared to Première Classe. The room did sometimes smell of cigarettes. Close to large shops and the main road. Laon has a beautiful, characteristic center."

"Well located next to the train station. Check in time a little weird at 4pm but is fine if you arrive late in town. The attractions are all on top of the hill about 20 mins walk from the hotel. The staffs are very friendly. Rooms are well allocated and size is alright."

"Initially concerned about how close this Ibis was to a main road but great sound proofing made for a peaceful nights sleep. Helpful staff and a great breakfast offer, for the price, made our stay worth the 5 stars."

"Service Residence, for seniors which offers rooms per night. In reality, these are apartments with a very nice terrace. Very comfortable with good bedding (140 bed however). Pleasant staff at reception and calm assured. In addition there are shutters, so we are assured not to be disturbed by the early morning light. Breakfast a little basic for the price"

"The hotel has changed hands since we were last there. The new, young owner, Eloi Guillaume, has done much to modernise it, a difficult task in such an ancient buildibg. Our room was comfortable and peaceful. We sat in the garden for dinner. The food was good, the wine list reasonably priced. Breakfast was also good.We enjoyed our stay, not least because of the entusiastic, welcoming owner and his young assistants. We will stay there again."
