"This is a fabulous castle on the outskirts of a small village. The room we had was spacious and nicely furnished. Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner of the place, who spoke excellent English. We had an excellent dinner in a nearby restaurant (there are a few in the short driving distance from the castle) The hotel owner brought the fresh breakfast rolls in the morning to the room and we had the excellent breakfast in the room. Quite delightful experience!"

"Very good and cheap 2 star hotel in good location, just 5 minutes drive to the beautiful old town of Pérouges. My friends and I felt very well there, although the room facility is quite simple, but everything important is available and the mattresses were even very good. Of course, in a 2 star house, you can not expect extras like coffee machine etc. Surprisingly, even a large pool was available, but it is only available at good weather. The breakfast was also very good and free parking was abundant. You should only know that the hotel is on a well-run street and therefore I advise to book a room behind."

"We reserved La Villa du Lac because of the SPA and nice restaurant on the pictures at "stay for long". In reality it was a horrible ghost hotel - the SPA was closed with NO water, the restaurant was also closed like the main hotel see foto's. Stay for long diden't want to pay any of the approximately 200 Euro per day back or talk about any compensation :-( The promised WIFI diden't work, so we got a big bill for mobile data when we got home. Stay Away from La Villa du Lac and Don't use "Stay for long" for booking !!"
