Coille Darach B&B ★★★
"I have had perhaps 5000 hotel night in over 100 countries for work and leisure over the last 50 years .....So my reviews are hopefully objective . I really loved the Coille Darach B&B. You will too Unbelievably clean , fantastic rooms and great knowledgable host lovely bathroom great central heating THIS IS A LITTLE GEM of a place .. hidden away ...but the sat nav will get you there The A861 single track road to the ferry for Corran is truly amazing too (ask the host for directions ) ... You cannot fail to be amazed by the remoteness and the fantastic scenery I have travelled to 123 Countries so it is hard to impress me"
Mingary Castle - Restaurant with Rooms ★★★★
"One of the best places to stay and dine. The setting is beautiful, the rooms are extravagant and the food is Michelin star worthy. Don't want to sound like a travel agent but you should book this now before everyone else finds out and you can't get a booking. This is my second visit and it was even better than the first trip. The friendly service is second to none and the food is exceptional. Then there are the views, great sunrise and sunsets from the battlements. Another plus for us was the EV charge point that allowed us stress free travelling in rural Scotland."
Loch Shiel Hotel ★★★
"Crikey - amazing how one land'lady'/bar person/whoever, thinks its appropriate to throw as many obstacles and banned activities as possible at your party the minute you step to the bar. No welcome, no warmth, nothing - just rudeness, arrogance and self loathing. She must be waiting, like a coiled lizard behind the warm Tennents pump for the next unassuming customer to walk in. How can someone who must genuinely hate other people so much, choose a job that deals with other people all day long! Aggressive ID check on the party. I'm 53 and look 60 so that one was lost on me. Next aggressive challenge to an 18 year old who hadn't actually ordered anything yet. He wanted a coke so clearly upset her stride at that point. Next - the youngster was not allowed to stand anywhere near the pool table, yet alone play it as it was in the bar and that is clearly against international law at 3pm on a wet May afternoon. He was stood next to the pool table because that is where the door into the bar is! Clearly this simple practicality was too much for the dragon behind the bar to comprehend. The woman/owner/horrible pointless bar person, combined with the two pasty looking midge riddled zombies drinking flat lager in the corner, added to the atmosphere of an abandoned crematorium. Rude, self important hobbyist with zero understanding of the area, and the amazing opportunities available in the stunning part of the world. Travel a little further north and spend your time and money in the Glenuig Inn. That place has never been better since the miserable old loner that owned it eventually sold up a few years ago. ...Maybe take the hint - for the good of the community."
Mingarry Park ★★★★
"very nice and warmful place to live"
Kilchoan Hotel ★★★
"Was slightly wary of this hotel as it seemed to be the only place around with availability but my concerns vanished straight away. What a cracking place. We had an evening meal here which again we thought would be average but wow absolutely got that wrong again, fabulous food with so much taste and generous portions. Friendly staff, great to chat to a couple of local people in the bar too,I loved it. As far as our room was concerned we had a family(double and a single) room as it was just for one night, although not en-suite it had its own private bathroom which was a great size and clean. The room too was a fabulous size, creaky bed every time you turned it made a noise but pretty comfy. The only slight niggle the cold water tap on the sink in the room didn’t work but it wasn’t the end of the world.Breakfast not as good as the previous nights food but was ok.Staff really friendly I’d definitely go back and would happily recommend. This is a no frills hotel but the whole feel of the place was fabulous, the staff we met were nice and in general it was a great overnight stop."
Ariundle Accommodation ★★★
"Quite fair for the price! But a little bit far from fort William town centre, and the service is brilliant and helpful as we blocked off the road and very late check in!"
Belmont Chapel Cottage ★★★
1 Bed Lodge - Sleeps 2 - Pets Ok - Free Parking ★★★★
