I really admire Alex as a hotel practitioner so perfect for taking care of the family hotel! This comment is not to write a simple clean and tidy, good service, good location to express my feelings! I want to say that the layout is very special, very artistic, fully utilized all resources but not crowded, everywhere reflects the high taste and intention of the operator! At the time of the tourism industry has not yet recovered, Alex provides guests with a variety of food and beverage experience. He has great kindness! So this is a highly recommended family hotel! I will come back again!

My wife and l spent a delightful 3 nights in this lovey unique house with Japanese themed garden. Our room was clean and well equipped.
Rod is an excellent host and made us very welcome. He also provided a very good breakfast.
Highly recommend.

First of all, the location is very partial, country road. There is nothing to eat around, only one restaurant does not serve food after 5:00 pm on Sundays. So be sure to prepare food in the supermarket before. Fruits and the like. In addition, the hotel provides breakfast, you need to check the front desk will give you a card when you check, you eat first, it will be delivered to the room around 9 in the morning.
Secondly, the chout out time is 10 o'clock. This is not acceptable. I booked this hotel because I valued the swimming pool and sauna. However, there was an extra charge, the cheapest one was £25 an hour.
Finally, let’s talk about the room: the room size is relatively large, modern decoration, no TV. Attach the price of the swimming pool SPA.
The owner, Mike, is very kind and helpful. The cost included good continental breakfast with many kinds of fresh fruits. The place is quiet course it is a bit remote, therefore you need a car. Will definitely stay again if visit other nearby sight seeing point next time.

Very Good
XXRMThis was genuinely a wonderful and most special place.
The Rocksalt Rooms are in a separate building to the Restaurant - but you check in at the latter and walk you over. Note all the streets here are cobbled, which can be slippery when wet.
They are a real BoltHole as they are described, and there are only four total. 2 on 1st floor, 2 on 2nd floor, with one per floor harbour facing. I'd definitely suggest that the upgrade is worth it.
The rooms are compact but exceptionally well presented. I've odd little niggles, theres no bedside of any kind - floating shelf would work, where do you put your mobile? And the metal bed frame is ornate and was loose on the footboard.
The biggest challenge is where to put things. There are a few hangers on the back of the door and a small set of hooks, but not a drawer or proper place at all. I get space is a real premium here - bedside with 2 drawers all you need!
The wet room is compact as everyone says. You won't keep the floor area outside the shower dry, it's not possible. The sink is a corner one with no space to place things but there is shelf in the bathroom for all your luxuries. The body wash / conditioner / hand soap / hand moisturiser are great quality.
Noise - it's by the Harbour so they start early, but for us it was part of the charm of the location, the fresh fish smell was totally incredible.
Breakfast is not to be missed, across in the restaurant with the best view, it's harbour side. Loved the granola, yoghurt, compote starter. I had English Breakfast as I was hungry, it was great quality but disappoining - it was more style over substance. The bacon is cooked to crispy, not my style at all but great quality. He had the Salmon & Eggs and it won hands down. Local, fresh, decent portion, on wonderful Sourdough. Luckily I was saved a bite.
A point or two more - the bedside light fused the circuit and the room was plunged into darkness. Looked for fuse box, could not find. Ended up in Restsurant. They had to get keys to a location they used to own but don't now (ground floor of the Rooms building). This took a while as the keys had to be obtained. I get how this used to work, but not now - the fuse box needs moving. The if we cant fix option was check out and refund - erm no!!
There is the most incredible Team member behind the Bar/ Restaurant from Bulgaria whose name I have really tsckily forgotten. For which I apologise.
She is truly wonderful and made the visit for me, id return solely to see her again!!!
Overall we loved Rocksalt Rooms and would return, to have dinner in the restaurant too!
Thumbs up from us, thang you so kindly 💕
GGuest UserWonderful location, just a stones throw from the Centre of Canterbury. Our Host was lovely, very kind and welcoming.
Breakfast was not overwhelming, very basic. It was included in the price so can't really complain.
Lots of niggles with the room though..... maintenance appears to be down on the list of the priorities sadly.
Fridge didn't work.
TV had cracked plastic frame around it. Remote didn't connect to the TV. However you could turn on the TV manually....once you'd sussed out what wasn't working first.
Bedside set of drawers had handles that kept falling off.
No sink plug in the bathroom. You had to be a contortionist to see in the bathroom mirror, it could have been better positioned on the adjacent wall.
It was also a little concerning that all the electric devices had to be plugged into just one trail board.
That being said, inspite of all the niggles, it didn't stop us from having a lovely weekend stay in Canterbury - location made up for it along with Sanjeewa's hospitality.
GGuest UserThis was a three night ‘escape’ to explore a completely new area. Broadstairs is a lovely small old fashioned resort with bracing walks, friendly people, some lovely eateries and many places to sit and watch the world go by.
Artfuls was a perfect base. Small and friendly, it is ideally located near the seafront, promenade and town centre.
The staff were all absolutely lovely, extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area and good places to eat.
Our room was quirky but comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfasts were excellent and unhurried. There was easy parking nearby.
I readily recommend Artfuls to any couples wishing to enjoy a relaxed break in a lovely place.
I would
GGuest UserI stayed a couple of nights over weekend , room was large with a double bed and a single , clean with tv and coffee and tea . Bathroom was clean , had bath with overhead shower . Room on main road but wasn’t too noisy , space for vehicle parking at the front and around side of building Saturday night they had a marquee up in the grounds and quite loud music but went off at eleven so didnt disturb my sleep. Bar looked nice and dinning area and tge food smelled nice but I was there for friends barbecue so didnt eat there , would definitely stay there again .
GGuest UserHotel is strict with 3 PM checked in. Unfortunately, it was the hottest day and we had the room number one which facing west & boiling hot. Aircon didn’t work in the room, staff had to put 3 fans & a portable AC but didn’t do much. Went out the whole day when back at night our room was still boiling hot measured 28’c. The lady manger was helpful but not much she can do to help cool down the room. The hotel was kind enough to offer 50% off our room rate upon check out.
GGuest UserA great pub to stay at for a long weekend. We stayed there to watch racing at Brands Hatch for two days and you could not be closer to the circuit. The food was outstanding, we had a ribeye steak and we are still talking about it a week later. The staff were very friendly and if they saw our glass empty it was promptly collected and refreshed. We will be staying there again in the future. Robert Giddens from Cornwall

GGuest UserWe stayed in the suite, which was like a tiny apartment. Hidden location with lovely countryside to go for a walk around it. Although it was a busy night at the pub there was no noise in the room. Great breakfast (freshly baked croissant and pain au chocolat). Overall quiet and relaxing
