I spent two weeks traveling solo in NYC. The first week I stayed in at Times Square area and saw most of the touristy sites. The second week I decided to stay here. If you have traveled well enough, you will appreciate getting a room at this location for this price point. The cleanliness was acceptable. During the daytime, if the common bathroom is occupied, you can use the shower in the swimming pool area, strong, hot shower. I really enjoyed my stay. They have a lovely crew running the facilities, gym, swimming pool and security. I only met one extremely rude and unfriendly staff member who works at the check-in counter. I will come back again in a heartbeat.

The check in process was very quick and felt very rushed. There was no tour of the building so I was left to find things on my own. Thats my only complaint, other than that it was accurately descirbed.

I thought it was a really relaxing place. Since June 5th, I have stayed several times in a row. I stayed for almost a month, but it is very convenient because there are restaurants, a market, and a convenience store nearby. Good location. After all, it's safe and secure, and it feels like a little sure house with a round on each floor. I want to use it again. The staff were all very kind. The front door is also safe with a security door. I was relieved with a security door that could not be easily invaded from the outside.

The only drawback was that the heating in the room could not be adjusted (it was quite dry), but other than that it was fine. There is a space outside the room to tie up large luggage (free of charge). I thought it would be convenient to have more than one padlock (one for the locker inside the room and one for large luggage outside the room).

Location is kind of crummy since you have to walk quite a bit to get to the subway station. Not impossible, but just annoying. The hostel/location itself is wonderful though! Employees are very warm and friendly. Community living room, well lit, good ambience. Bar/Cafe available directly in the lobby area. The dorming situation was fine, could've been better. My bunk bed wasn't secured to the wall, so climbing up on the bunk felt bad. The shower and bathroom itself had barely any walkable space. looked to be a 3x5' space... Well air conditioned. Outlets are connected/located at each bed, and the community area has a good kitchen. Laundry room is fine, a bit grungy. Overall, good experience for what it is.

Good beds. Free breakfast. Sometimes didn't have no cereal other then raisin bran or none at all. Bagels and mini muffins either apple or orange juice switch each day.. didn't use pool, too cool. Upstairs hall smelled of MJ.the first two night's. Housekeeping was good. Some units need updating.

We check-in very late around 4:00am due to our late flight and 1 missing piece of luggage. Got our room promptly, but the bath tub was choke and dirty. Tried to change our room, but was told that there was no other available room, but they sent someone to fix it in the morning. The hotel is pretty basic, more for people with own transport. Location wise, there is not much around the area, but we found Denny's within walking distance. There are a couple of other eating places as well, though we didn't try them.

Great place with comfortable beds and a shuttle to the ******. Would definitely stay here again. Nice pool as well. Close proximity to restaurants and shopping. Including the Wagon Wheel with friendly people, good cheap food and beer. They give you passes to ride the shuttle bus which will take you to Niagara Falls and other places such as the ******. The passes are good for one full day. Front desk and cleaning staff were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

There is no problem with cleanliness. However, the facilities in the bedrooms and the service provided by the staff are minimal, so you need to get used to it to stay comfortably. However, it is reasonable compared to the local market, so I think it is ideal for travelers who are price-conscious but don't want to get a bad experience. However, there are no curtains or partitions on the beds, and you can't even hang your towel on the top bunk. The beds are pipe beds, so even if you turn over a little, the vibrations will be transmitted to the person below (and vice versa), so I think you need talent and experience to get a good night's sleep. The mattress is firm and the size is acceptable. I am 185 cm tall, but I was able to stretch my legs out and sleep. Newer and more comfortable-looking dormitories in New York are much more expensive than this one, so I am grateful that they offered an option at this price (10,000 yen per night in Japanese yen) with acceptable simplicity. Thank you very much.

In 21st century New York, I actually found a hotel without internet. Make sure you never forget it. Another weird thing is that each room does not have a key card. Always ask the front desk staff to open the door for you. It's troublesome if you want to **.
