Great place to be based in to check out Kunming. There are daily planned activities which we didn’t participate in due to the lack of time. We needed up paying for breakfast despite the booking saying breakfast was included so we would recommend to clarify that beforehand. The restaurant has ample vegetarian options and although we only ate breakfast at the restaurant it seemed like a great option for lunch and dinner. We went to bed early as we weren’t feeling well and the hostel was a bit noisy until about midnight. After that it was quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend.

The location is very good, close to the main attractions and there are a lot of restaurants and convenience stores around. The receptionist is very nice and it seems he puts a lot of effort to keep the place tidy. The room was clean, with a great view, it was very cold there is a little heater (no AC) that you can use but doesn't do much, you are given a pair slide each (no towel given). There are 2 bathrooms for the whole place, 1 man and 1 woman. The squatting toilet, sink and shower are all in the bathroom, there is no toilet paper in the bathroom so you have to buy your own. The bathroom unfortunately is quite dirty, I have seen blood,poop and pee all over the toilet, also it gets blocked quite easily, I myself had to unblocked a couple of times before I could use it. There is very little sound insulation so you can hear people talking and singing in the reception sometimes even until 1am or going to the toilet, so make sure to take earplugs with you. There is no kitchen or fridge but there are 2 washing machines that you can use for 2 RMB. Free water in the reception, sometimes is not available but gets refilled regularly.

located right in the center of Kunming, on the main street. The structure is very clean and well maintained, the rooms comfortable, and the value for money is exceptional. One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in, for me it is like a 5 star hotel.

best hostel I‘ve stayed at in china! great atmosphere you can meet a lot of people. the room is very comfortable and clean. you can tell that the hotel management makes an effort to provide guests with a good experience. there are group activities organized by the hostel and the rooms are cleaned several times a day. the lobby has a guitar and the balcony has sun all day! exactly felt as depicted by the photos on their website!

We checked in randomly at around 1am. It was totally beyond our expectations. The boss was very nice. We upgraded the double room we booked to a quad room for free. The bed was very soft and comfortable to sleep in. The hostel was very unique and beautifully decorated. Before we left, the boss saw that we were tired and gave us a wreath. It was a very good experience and great value for money. I wish the boss a prosperous business🫶🏻This is the first time I spontaneously want to write a good review

Great place to stay. Really good vibes and nice accomodation. Short walk to the old town or slightly longer walk to some good viewpoints for sunset.

Had a very good stay at Tina's! We hiked the gorge in 2 days and Tina helped us beforehand with questions and logistics. Also arranged for our luggage to be brought there so we didn't have to take that with us! Very good food and reasonably prices. The views are amazing and the rooms are modern clean and big. Would stay again! Make sure to add Tina on wechat so you can get some information from her if you need to.

Would recommend Hosting Friendly and smiley. Took up bags without asking. Answer questions over wechat. Even the other guests were friendly! Usually Chinese visitors don't really speak to me (which is fine of course), but the girls I shared a room with even asked me to dinner with them and shared food Location The pictures they have down for the exterior, it's actually to the left of that. walking distance to the ancient village and chongsheng temple. easy trips to the lake. Amenities Fridge, washing machine, hair dryer, shoe dryer, toiletries, kitchen area etc. all included. There's like a communal courtyard area as well and I believe you can eat there too but you need to book it the day before by a certain time. Bathroom Sit down toilet. Shower. Toiletries. Looks a bit shabby at first glance but the shower toilet and sink are all working and very clean Room Lovely thick mattress (I've found they are usually quite thin in Chinese hostels so this was a nice surprise). Heater if needed. I'm not entirely sure how the lock on the door is supposed to be done. Overall great atmosphere. The pictures look a little bit rough around the edges but its honestly fine and i think I could stay here a while

The location is excellent, a few steps from the train station. The public toilet is a bit smelly, and the hot water from the 24-hour hot water is not very hot, but for this price and this location, the cost performance is already very high. It's fine to have a small room where I can sleep well.

Chinese hostels seem to have very little to no heating during winter. So using a pool table while freezing your ass off is not that appealing. The rest was super good though!

This place is perfect for a pre-flight stay. The rooms are super comfortable, and there’s even free water. Plus, there’s an airport shuttle, and there are tons of restaurants and stores nearby.

Let me explain here. A British foreigner gave this youth hostel 3.5 points. I was staying in another youth hostel, and I met this foreigner downstairs. He said that the place he stayed in was one of the cleanest youth hostels he had ever stayed in, and the price was good. I was curious and went to check it out. I thought it was very clean and even better than when I was there. The hostel I stayed in was spacious. I checked the room again the next day. The bed was very stable and the quilt was much better than the previous hostel I stayed in. So I decided to move to Fusheng Hostel. I chatted a lot with foreigners and went hiking in Xishan Park together. He has cycled across five continents and opened a diving center in Turkey and became his own boss. This time when the three of them entered China, they met Macau people who helped them ”pay and buy” the mainland. After setting up the mobile phone card, this kind-hearted Macau native spent an hour without saying anything and also used his own money to give three cards to the three foreigners. The British foreigner said that he was very touched and received a lot of help in China. He was also very satisfied with this youth hostel, but it was a bit cold and did not provide electric blankets. After he left, he gave him a score of 3.5. I called him on WeChat and he said that this is an ordinary youth hostel, not good or excellent enough. Foreigners staying in a youth hostel have at least two toilets, and he didn’t feel that the boss upgraded his room. It's just a bed. After hearing this, I said that the youth hostel owner didn’t give you the five yuan for washing clothes because of the language barrier. Can you transfer it to him? He said he has already checked out, how can I transfer it? I said, haven’t you always paid via WeChat in China? You have your boss’s WeChat account and can transfer money to her, but he hasn’t transferred it yet. I write this to help the boss explain the ins and outs of the negative review, and that your kindness should help people who are more deserving of help.

It's conveniently located just a one-minute walk from Exit C of Panjiawan Station on Subway Line 3, and the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Go east on Renmin Zhong Road and turn left at the first corner to an area lined with cheap eateries. English is hard to communicate in China, so for some reason my husband spoke Japanese and was able to help me out with various questions, which was helpful. At first they tried to upgrade us to the fourth floor, but there were no stairs in the building, so they put us on the third floor. We had booked an air-conditioned room, but they told us that the non-air-conditioned fan room was larger, so when we were shown inside, it was a room with a sunroom-like space. As the weather was cool, they changed us to that room, and we were able to stay comfortably.

The front desk staff are friendly and eager to provide information. The location is in the center of the business district, which is convenient for shopping. Here you can chat with many friends and get their experiences. The service staff are also willing to help solve problems. However, if you stay in a private room, it will be easier if there is a lounge upstairs. It smells like smoke and is noisy. It is suitable for a room with multiple people and is cost-effective. The electricity and hot water systems happened to be unstable during those few days. This is the only drawback.

”Pure Heart”, pretending to be simple as ”style”, I have been on a business trip to Dali and always stayed in this hotel. The boss is polite and enthusiastic. The parking lot is convenient, the snack ”Donkey Meat Fire Roast” on the left, and the restaurant ”Tong Ladle Beef” on the back street are all good choices. It is a beautiful day with a sunny sky. As a gold medal review, it has always been a fair evaluation.

Very cool hostel / hotel! Modern-decorated rooms, very spacious and luxurious. Looks like the pictures. The vibe of the place is great - mix of hostel, cool community and hotel. Lovely pets. Breakfast included and nice rice noodles! Moreover, one can rent scooters. Totally recommend.

Hostel was decent, and good value. Bed was hard but comfortable enough. Bathrooms were clean enough, although for foreigners just know there's only squat toilets. The staff were helpful, and good with using translators to explain everything which was appreciated. Location is great, perfect to spend a night in Shaxi for a good price. However there was no lock on the door to the room (although there is a small locker in the room), but given its a small town security isn't too much of an issue. I forgot to take photos of the rooms but the view from the roof is nice. Overall, decent stay.

The only drawback was that the public bathroom was a bit small. Another point was that there was no one when I checked in. The only person who greeted me was The boss’s cute little kitten. After packing up his things, he went out and went back very late. He didn’t even see the boss or his friends at the hotel. When he came back, my roommate told me that someone had a birthday and left me a piece of cake😭😭 😭I’m so touched, I feel the atmosphere is great

A typical youth hostel, nice fellow travellers from all around China. I stayed in 4 person dorm, won't recommend because it is on 1st floor and facing the street - feeling that people walk and talk just a meter from your head. Otherwise the place is great, good relaxed atmosphere, good kitchen with all equipment. The rooftop terrace, laundry facilities there. Relatively near the bus stop one takes to and from Dali railway station, about 10 minutes walk.

The location is right at the South Gate of Dali, and the transportation is very convenient. It is also suitable for playing in the ancient city. The atmosphere is also very good. It is easy to be infected by everyone singing and eating together. The room is also quite large, and the boss is also very nice. I suddenly contracted gastroenteritis in Dali, and the boss was very kind to help me arrange a king-size bed room. Thank him very much. A very sentimental store

I am a hiking enthusiast and had a very good experience in this hostel. I stayed in a 4-person room with a separate bathroom and a free laundry room for washing clothes. Although it is a bunk bed, the mattress and quilt are very comfortable, and my sleep quality is well guaranteed🥰 The environment is very comfortable, the store manager and other travelers get along very well, living together is as happy as renting a cozy small apartment with friends It is close to Erhai Lake and the ticket evasion route of Shangcang Mountain.
