I can recommend this place. I arrived early in the morning and they let me leave my luggage as well as check in and use the bed. They also sent many instructions with directions. Place is very clean and bed was comfy with lights, fan and a power outlet. Free landry (as of now) with space to dry. First time I received a clean towel without asking in this country. Bathroom has toiletries (soap, toilet paper, shampoo, shower gel, even conditioner). It is possible to meet people in the common area. However, you will need to boil your own drinking water here. They have three kettles, though. Kitchen otherwise only has a sink and a microwave. Biggest downside is that there is only one bathroom for 14 males. People had to wait a lot. And, of course, the cultural downside that people will likely smoke in their beds, spit around, be noisy and that the male bathroom will have urine splashed around as always. I wish there was a table in the common area, too. If you want some local food, make sure to cross the big road and walk into road on the other side. Lots of local eateries on the right side.

Excellent location. Take the airport bus to Chunxi Road and then take the Metro from Chunxi Rd Station to just one stop away Xinnamen Station. Make sure you come out at the right exit. You can see the hostel as you come out. The room is spacious! There is a roof garden and a nice lounge area. P.S. Google map does not work in China. Download MAPS.ME. Also download Wechat - you text in English they translate to Chinese and vice versa.

It is located in Hailiang Mingmen, with various large shopping malls downstairs, where you can eat, drink, and have fun. It only takes about ten minutes to ride an electric bike to reach the Dazhao Wuliang Temple. The hardware is pretty good, except that the area for washing and going to the toilet is separated by a room with a door. Inside is a squat toilet for showering and going to the toilet (I personally prefer squatting, after all, there are so many people), and outside are two washbasins. The boys are in two rooms behind the white curtain, and the girls are behind the pink curtain. Maybe my luck has almost run out. Although the environment is okay, I was not happy living there. First, there was a boy in the room smoking in the public area. Fortunately, after I reminded him, he went out to smoke (but there were still people smoking later. It was even more exaggerated the next morning. They didn't smoke in the public area, but directly behind the curtain. The whole public area was smelly, and even the girls' room could smell it with the door closed. I was too lazy to follow their instructions when I was about to leave). There was a peculiar smell, and the boss said it was a human problem. He moved me to a bed in another room. As soon as I opened the door, I was overwhelmed by the strong smell of takeout. A pile of takeout was left on the table and not thrown away after eating, and the window was not opened to disperse the smell, even though there was a big trash can at the entrance. I said goodbye to them, opened the window to get rid of the smell, and reluctantly fell asleep. To be honest, the static electricity from the bedding was really strong. Fortunately, I was wearing pure cotton, but when I touched the exposed skin, sparks and lightning still occurred. See the last picture for my experience the next morning…I’m really speechless. I had originally wanted to get up early and pack up so I could go to the half marathon finish line to join in the fun, but the public area was filled with smoke, so I had to drag my suitcase back to the room. Other people were resting in the room, so I didn’t want to make any noise, so I had to pack up slowly. By the time I finished packing, it was too late to go over. I stayed in two youth hostels during this trip, and none of them was like here where everyone closed their doors and didn't communicate with each other. Before, even if there were boys, everyone could chat in the public area and even eat and play together. Later, I realized that maybe no one wanted to stay in the public area because it was always filled with smoke, and even if there were people there, they would just watch the washing machine wash clothes alone. I've said so much, it's not that this youth hostel is bad, it's just that I'm unlucky, I didn't meet a good companion here~

The hostel itself is very cute and cozy, though you will notice that it's already been through some years. The rooms themselves were nice and clean. The bathrooms only have squatting toilets, which in itself is not a problem; however I believe there were some guests around that didn't know how to properly use them and the bathrooms weren't cleaned daily so unfortunaly I cannot give more points on cleanliness. I don't know how much English is spoken and I'm not sure how many tips staff can give about the surrounding sights. We asked if it was possible to get to the Xilamuren grasslands by public bus and the receptionist told us it wasn't. It is though, you can take a long distance bus to Zhaohe from the long distance bus station. We didn't ask for any more directions afterwards...

The Youth Hostel has lived for a long time and I don’t want to go home. The atmosphere is very good, especially clean. Every day, I can be seen the busy figure of the proprietress. I will rush to the next city in two days. I hope I can encounter such a good Youth Hostel, so I still have to live in this kind of niche Youth Hostel. (The reputation is very high and the hygiene is not in place) The people I met here are very good and very qualified. I hope everyone can see such a small shop and live comfortably hahahahaha

The boss is very good, arrived very late but waited for me. The room was clean and there was a big wardrobe. In the most central location in Hohhot, it is very convenient to go anywhere, let alone eat. Overall a good person experience. The hotel is great, beyond my imagination

Facilities: Newly renovated, the public area is very good, is the best youth travel I have ever lived in. There are many washstands and bathrooms, which will not be crowded. There is also a large TV, as well as a terrace outside, etc. Hygienic: very clean and tidy. Garbage is cleaned up in time Environment: Erguna is not big, you can walk anywhere, very convenient. Service: The boss (Brother Feng) also provides travel consultation services, carpooling with other friends to the card line, wetland park. I also know a few interesting friends here, and I will continue to travel together in the follow-up trip.

AAndrew PulestonA welcome sight in an unfamiliar place. Not too hard to find. One of only a handful of accomodations in this large, town ”under development” Though we had some communications challenges that was solved by thw first front desk reception lady using the weixin translation app. She kindly directed me to the best restaurant in town for lunch - by taxi, as there are few fanguan nearby. Convenient 6 minute walk to the train station through the underpass. A taxi can be arranged to go the single major local tourism site - Kehan (khan) Shan. It is only partly in operation, but the surroundings are inspiring Accessories in room were completely adequate and clean. I expected to be on second floor, but not. Some noise and cigarette smoke carried through the corridor, but this happens. There may be larger binguans in Holingol, this was fine for me. Excellent value for the price.

WWangxin(diweizhenkong)There is free airport transfer service. If you don't want to be picky when you're out, just get as much sleep as possible. The boss's service is good. There was no towel in the room and someone was sent to deliver it in 5 minutes. There is a restaurant at the door.

GGuest UserThis stay was fantastic! The front desk service was friendly and attentive, check-in was quick, the room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and all the amenities were new. However, it would have been much better if the room had a chair, which would have been much more convenient for working or relaxing. I look forward to staying here again.
