This bed and breakfast is located walking distance from downtown Charlevoix and Lake Michigan. The host for my 2-night stay at Northside could not have been more welcoming. The room with private bath (good hot water) and double bed was clean and spacious. A small ”retro” refrigerator that worked well and parking that was steps away from the door were nice conveniences. Weather was cool at night, so I cannot comment on A/C. Breakfast was varied with plenty of fruit, biscuits & gravy, baked goods & coffee. I would stay here again.

We chose this Inn because it was close to the friends we were visiting for a graduation party. It was a delightful experience from beginning to end. It’s not a new building so it has some creaks and cracks, but the ambience was fabulous. There’s no front desk, but a staff member came to meet us and the check in process was easy. We decided to extend out start and again the staff was so accommodating despite the inconvenience it caused them. I would stay here again.

Great location right on the beach. There is no management on property or housekeeping so you will have to contact them for the code to the door. There is a full kitchen (which we didn’t use) and a grill for each cabin. We had no hot water in the shower but they fixed it the next day. Overall for the price and the location this place is great. We will be sure to come back.

A very enjoyable experience overall. We stayed in the attic loft, which housed three of us, though all but two of the beds don’t give a whole lot of headroom, so that area may be better for families with small kids. The common area is well-decorated and interesting, and there are Girl Scout cookies laid out every day. The breakfast was great. Would highly recommend.

The house is charming, with the lot of character and in a great location. The room was very spacious and very clean. Steffan is also very welcoming, friendly and he made a delicious breakfast.

What a wonderful getaway. Bill and Barb were wonderful hosts! We would love to go back again.

Such a nice place!

Pool and hot tub were great. Breakfast was disappointing. Bed was very firm-messed my sleep and back up since it was so hard. Room was very clean.

But my visit was with my lifelong best girlfriend from childhood, and Yelton Manor was STILL perfect. Small cozy nooks with comfortable chairs at every turn on every floor of two huge houses provided us secluded conversation corners with garden and lake views. The porches and bi-level patio are a wrapped in dune grasses and fragrant flowers. We watched chick flick DVDs with warm popcorn and chilled drinks. We slept late and drank the inn’s delicious coffee until noon, walked to town and shopped, sunned at the sandy beach across the street and had take-out dinner on the huge flagstone patio. COVID rules were strict inside but the large outdoor spaces and thoughtful distancing of social areas made for plenty of mask-free time. The inn is impeccably clean and we felt safe despite the pandemic. Elaine and Robert were mostly contact-free hosts because of COVID (expect to check yourself in and out, it was easy) but everything we needed was a text away and instantly attended to. A phone Ap Guest Book connected us with everything we needed to know about the hotel and the town and instant messaging to the Innkeepers if needed. Breakfast was healthy and delicious and served all morning, much appreciated. We ordered room service and really treated ourselves. Everything you hear about the triple chocolate brownies is true, they are addicting. Also grateful that the hotel is “all-adults”, so quiet and relaxing. Rates are a true value for location, luxury and service provided.
