I have never written a review, but I have to say a few words this time. Let me just talk about my feelings. Sister Ping is really warm and nice. She would arrange a car to take us whether we were leaving for the town or rushing to the pier in the morning. She also helped us process the seafood we bought at night for free (PS: her craftsmanship is really good, especially the spicy crab). To be honest, I have been out for more than 10 days, and this is the first time I feel at home here. There is nothing to say. As for the accommodation environment, I understand it this way. Semporna itself is a very small town, and we basically go island hopping every day. We go out very early, and it is dark when we come back after dinner. We go back to sleep. I think cleanliness and hygiene are enough. And quietness is the most important thing. A good sleep can make a better departure the next day. So I prefer the environment of Mushroom House, which is far away from the town.
The homestay booked in Kota Kinabalu with his wife and her two sisters, the new real estate but it is indeed some distance from the pier. The rooms are clean and the facilities are new, and there is a night market downstairs.

Our host showed us to the room and explained all. Air conditioning units were very good and quiet at night. We didn't watch much TV but it was in perfect condition. Some may say the bed is hard but for me I slept perfectly. Being on the waterfront we had access to all restaurant's cafes and shops. The negatives would be the drain in the kitchen and the bathroom. I suspect these drains are not sanitised. I overcame this problem by putting the bathmat over one and a bin over the other. This negated the smell. Plenty of storage and also a pull out couch for a small child.
New Homestay Property, 2-3 mins to famous place Mosque, Stadium Likas, City Town by Transport. Nearby got Mini Stores, Korean Food & Night Food Market.
The room was clean, tidy, and odor-free. The air conditioning worked well, and the internet was fast. There was a charging pad similar to the ones you'd find in China, so you could use it if you forgot to bring an adapter. There was also a luggage rack and bedside table. We booked a twin room, which was a bit small, but the bathroom was quite spacious. There was also a large outdoor seating area, complete with cats. It was very pleasant to sit outside with a fan, enjoy a cup of tea, and work.
There was also a large shared kitchen, dining area, and laundry area, making it convenient for families to shop and cook. The seafood market and pier are also within walking distance.
You can book island hopping tours right at the B&B front desk, which is great for those who don't want to plan their trips. The tour guides all speak Chinese, so there's no language barrier. They also provide pick-up and drop-off services directly from the B&B. The famous Pearl Hotel seems to be just a short walk away. Supermarkets and restaurants are also nearby, making it very convenient.
Good reviews, must be good reviews, five-star reviews.
We are three people, and we booked a triple room. The room is large, with two beds, and the room is very warm and clean. There is also a Chinese housekeeper, and the Chinese communication is completely ok. Every morning, there is a special driver to take us to the pier, and pick us up in the afternoon. When we go to town at night, a driver will also be arranged to pick us up. It is not far from the town, and it only takes more than ten minutes to drive there. After we checked out on the last day, we left our luggage at the homestay, but the housekeeper still arranged a driver to pick us up at the homestay to pick up our luggage, and then take us to town. It was really nice, and I highly recommend it👍
Very good! This price in town has such a big room with a balcony, which is really a surprise. The bathroom I like the most is also clean and spacious. The hotel is conveniently located, with popular restaurants next to it and close to the pier. Ctrip directly contacted the hotel to make an appointment for airport transfer, and the island hopping also gave great guest discounts and excellent 24-hour service. Before checking in, the hotel pineapple sent me travel preparations and entry guides, and answered all questions about Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu, which made me feel very at ease. I was dazzled by the guides on the Internet...😂😂 When I arrived, I was sent a check-in guide, as well as a guide for food and seafood in the surrounding area, which was very worry-free. Ten thousand likes!
I really had a lot of fun this time and was very satisfied! Recommended!!!
The hotel is newly opened this month, a little distance from the town (but there are cars to pick up), the facilities will be more complete, and the health is better. Mainly the service is in place, the two bosses are very enthusiastic, the boss Ben is sunny, the Bao brother helps a lot, and he picks us up in the town after ten o'clock in the evening. Go to the attractions in the town that are a little colder, a little farther away, the people who live in other hotels do not give it, Bao brother package delivery (there is no car there, grab can not be hit, taxi to generally chartered 80RM), no cash also solved the urgent need. Save us money directly. There is a refrigerator with free food. In short, a good boss, very good service and facilities, recommend everyone to stay
The room is very clean, the location is good, the decoration is very good, suitable for families and couples on vacation, the facilities are also complete, the customer service is very enthusiastic, any questions can be answered at any time, I will continue to recommend it to other friends next time

GGuest UserIt was my first time to experience a water house. The slide went directly into the sea. It was very interesting.
Service: The hotel's arrangements are in place and they can help you solve any problems you have. We booked a charter boat for snorkeling for two people. The instructor is also very professional and will dive to the bottom of the sea to help you catch the fish from the bottom of the sea.
Facilities: As soon as I entered the room, I couldn't wait to experience the slide. At first, I was worried that I would sink into the sea if I slid down. There are life jackets at the front desk, so there is no need to worry.
Free dinner: The dishes are very rich, the chicken is very tender, the crabs are also very fresh, there is crab roe in it, you can’t get enough of the shrimps
GGuest UserThe stay at River Lodge at Sutera Sanctuary Lodges at Poring Hot Springs was totally relaxing, immersed fully in nature with constant gushing sound of the river flowing next to the lodge. There were multiple attractions at Poring Hot Springs, including the hikes to the waterfalls, the canopy walk, and the various pools. We would highly recommend this place.
KKING HONGRestaurant food is great.
Room temperature is fine around 18-22c
Room weather is too wet Dehumidifier or AC is needed, but not provided.
No room internet WiFi and lack of power plugs / USB plugs for mobile devices charges.
HHaojingchangzai☀The room is clean, tidy and sanitary, very good, and cost-effective compared to other hotels. I came here mainly because it was clean. I put on earplugs before going to bed to hear the noise from the mosque next door, and I couldn't hear it at all after falling asleep. The boss was very friendly.
AAnonymous UserLike: The room is spacious and has a hot water dispenser, which is great. The kitchen can also be used for cooking. Netflix is provided, making it convenient for families to stay. Contacted the B&B and got a quick reply.
Areas for improvement: There is a dent in the mattress, the toilet seat, the liquid dispenser is loose, the air conditioner, and the hardware could be more ideal.
In summary: great value for money.

CClemenceFacility is clean. But hot water for shower is barely there. At the most, it is not cold. Location is very good, near to the jetty to go for island hopping. It is also near to many food places.

AAnonymous UserThe location is 10/10 because it’s near to imago shopping mall and there’s a lot of restaurants near there , and also dobi shop and 7-11. The sound proof is quite weak because I still can hear other customers talking during midnight. It can also clearly hear the sound of aeroplane crossing .

GGuest UserWhat I liked a lot: Well situated to visit main attractions in Sepilok: Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre/Sunbear centre/Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC), free shuttle bus to the main attractions (09h-14h-16) which was really great. Also offer tours at reasonable prices e.g. Mangroves & Firefly Cruise (recommended). Free water dispenser.
To note: rooms are very basic (there is airco), we had some ants in the room, bathroom is outside. Breakfast was limited and minimal.
When we were there internet was not functional, luckily we had taken local simcard before with unlimited data so for us, this was not a big issue. Before coming to the hotel, I had sent a mail to have info about tours they offered, but never received a reply therefore I had booked tours with an agency which in the end was more expensive then when I would have it booked with Paganakan Dii Tropical Retreat. Possible to book tours on the spot (no need to reserve before coming) but I did not know this in advance.
