I definitely recommend this place because the people here are nice, their service is good, and they manage well on how to accommodate us. The owner and his family are very kind. There are many foreigners also book this place and it's because it's cheap but good for those whose budget is limited. They have tuktuk driver and he's very kind.
The reason I can't give it a full 5 is because the shower pressure on the 3rd floor is too weak, and the floor gets dirty quickly when you walk barefoot, and there are no indoor slippers. It's a big deal when you get out of the shower, and the supplies are so old that they need to be replaced. And there's nothing from a TV to a hair dryer, except for an electric kettle. Nevertheless, the staff is very friendly, the breakfast provided individually is delicious and hearty, and I'm especially grateful for the kindness of the owner who looks like Evangeline Lilly, the elf from The Lord of the Rings. The front desk staff who gave me a discount when I didn't show up for a motorcycle company and rented me a bike from another company. The owner who brought me a map and explained the tour course in detail, and recommended an airport bus because the taxi fare was expensive. I booked a taxi and the tour ended early, so I requested to change the taxi payment to the airport bus, but the manager who said that the card cancellation was not accepted and made up for it with a free massage for an hour, and the owner who was cheerful and kind until the end and sent me off. I won't be going to Siem Reap again, but I highly recommend it to backpackers.
Great Hotel to stay, beautiful lobby ,Pool, Spa, Restaurant, delicious food. Good staffs and so nice service. I will come back again 100%. Thank You So much.
A gem of a hotel, small but relaxing swimming pool, great welcoming staff and nice size rooms. The location is a little bit further to the city centre, but an advantage is that it leads to a shorter way to Angkor Wat. Excellent selection of breakfast with western and Khmer options. The only downsides are the mosquitos.

This is a B&B not far from the city center, quiet and comfortable. It is very suitable for taking a good rest after visiting the scenic spots. There are balconies and terraces, and light meals are also available. The owner is friendly and enthusiastic, making you feel at home. And the house price is very cost-effective.
Unexpected surprise on a trip to Siem Reap, the overall service and facilities of the hotel are very good. Free one-time pick-up service. Niche, sentimental and high quality. The owner is French and there is still a story about opening this hotel. In fact, it was originally the villa of the owner. Interested friends can learn after visiting the store. The only disadvantage is that the location is not on the main street, and it is more difficult for individuals to find it by asking. Overall give a big praise.

GGuest UserSala Lodges in the enchanting city of Siem Reap is nothing short of a hidden gem that boasts not only of charming aesthetics but also of exceptional service that made our stay unforgettable. Nestled quietly away, this hotel provided a tranquil retreat that was much needed during our travel.
The service at Sala Lodges was commendable, embodying the true spirit of hospitality. The staff were attentive, approachable, and consistently willing to assist us in organizing our trips around Siem Reap, making the overall experience hassle-free and enjoyable. A special shoutout to the Swiss owners who were genuinely amiable and made us feel warmly welcomed.
As for the accommodations, the rooms in Sala Lodges were a delightful surprise. Each room bore discrete charm with its tasteful decoration, seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary elements. The authentic Khmer old houses are full of charm, yet modern and well preserved.
The hotel’s kitchen offered a menu that might seem simple at a glance but was satisfyingly delightful upon tasting. Every dish we tried was prepared well, with fresh ingredients and flavors that are comforting yet exciting to the palate. The breakfast, in particular, deserves an extra note of praise for being consistently good, providing a delightful start to our days of exploration.
Adding to the hotel’s allure was the inviting swimming pool, serving as a refreshing sanctuary after a day of touring the magical temples and vibrant markets of Siem Reap. During the wet season, the atmosphere around Sala Lodges was even more calming and soothing, with the soft sound of rain providing a comforting backdrop to our stay.
To sum it up, our experience at Sala Lodges was nothing short of magical. From the excellent service to the beautifully appointed rooms and delightful meals, every aspect of the hotel contributed to a stay that was serene, comfortable, and absolutely enjoyable. Whether you’re traveling in the wet season or not, Sala Lodges offers a cosy retreat that will surely enhance your Siem Reap adventure. Highly recommended!
GGuest UserLocation is pretty convenient, 15min walk to the Pub street, there’s 7/11 and laundry service right around the corner. Hosts are lovely and sweet;
I booked the place via trip.com and the room they provided was different from the photos; i booked a nice looking white room as they showed on my reservation but I ended up in a different room which was dark and not as fresh looking as I was expecting. Bathroom is a bit tricky, water usually spills all across the floor, and takes time to drain.
Room has both AC and a ceiling fan, they provide toothbrush and small soaps, as well as towels; no flip-flops.
Room and bathroom were both quite spacious, although it was rather dark inside since lightbulbs don’t actually light up much. The bedding appears clean but it isn’t the most fresh and you can see some stains but it is in an acceptable condition, although the mat in front of the bathroom door was quite old and filthy looking. There isn’t a mini fridge or blow dryer in the room and also no sockets in the bathroom which was actually quite inconvenient.
They have a nice small pool in the yard.
Guest house doesn’t provide house keeping unless you ask; same with drinking water - you have to ask and they will give bottles.
There was a child on the premises that often screamed, which was rather unpleasant during the waking hours tbh.
Overall, it was a normal place considering the price; i would stay there again assuming that they provide the room I book and not something else.

One just needs to walk about 20 minutes to reach the tourist belt - shops and restaurants abound.
Just outside the guesthouse is a small convenience shop, and in the evening, food carts are set up, and one can find some street food.
Amenities
Body and hair shampoo are not provided, only disposable toothbrushes and 2 pieces of small hand soap. There are mosquitoes, so one needs repellent to ward off the pesky insects.
Service
The staff are friendly, and they responded to requests quickly.
PPaul CORBENI booked a room a this hotel through Trip.com at the time I was travelling to a tight budget and photos of rooms made then look more spacious than they actually were. The furniture and bed took up most of the room, there was no lock box and a flyer was taped to the wall informing guests that the cable television wasn’t working and gave us details of the free wifi. I laid down on the comfy bed and realised I could not stay in this place for a week so I checked out to find another hotel. The staff were lovely and it is a cool little hotel for the budget traveler but with no functioning tv and no lock box in the room, I would recommend it for a short stay.
GGuest UserGreat place to stay, I stayed here for 3 nights and the pricing was very affordable. Spacious and very clean rooms and a well maintained property.
The staff is always available and friendly, a family run property and they take care of it really well.
Would definitely recommend.
Very conveniently located close to the Pub street, Old market, night market and the river side if your want to explore street food.
庄庄As soon as she arrived at the airport, the lady boss arranged for someone to pick him up, all the way to her hotel. The service attitude of the proprietress is really great, and every detail is in place. Help us change beds and ask us what kind of breakfast we want to eat. The breakfast made in the morning is really good, and there are plenty of fruits to eat. Wake up in the morning, the air is fresh, and I feel the harmony between nature and people, as well as the beautiful human etiquette. She was very comfortable, and the lady boss was also very enthusiastic. She asked a lot of questions. He answered and helped us one by one. When we finally went to Phnom Penh, she also helped us order a great car. I have stayed in so many hotels in China, but the sense of service is not as good as that of the boss. Good time concept, understanding of needs, orderly, and enthusiastic service, it's really great! After experiencing what is people-oriented, this is the real achievement. A gentleman loves money and takes the right way. I have experienced it, profoundly, and I am very happy to have such a life experience. When I left, I couldn’t help but gave the boss’s wife a hug, moved and wished her a prosperous business.
OOyaI absolutely loved my stay here, the room and facilities had everything i needed, great value for money, The location was great, quiet area, walking distance from the main center. Local shops, drink places and food options within walking distance. Mr Bun Kao is one of the nicest people you can meet. He is friendly, helpful and generous. I enjoyed our chats and time together. Thank you Mr Bun Kao, you are a super hero in my eyes. I hope to meet again in the near future.
NNSM-Diary“Nice Experience!”
I spent 4 nights here on mission and I can say that everything was fine. The location of the hotel is quite close to my destination as well as some other centers in the Siemreap town center. I recommend this hotel to those having a business trip or vacation . And those who wish to stay near foods center and pub street.
