The environment of the inn is very good. There is a lively market right outside the door. The service attitude of the store is very good 👍 If it is not a holiday, I really want to stay there for a few more days. I will stay at his house next time I come!

This Inn is managed by a family that is very nice. Once you arrive from the train station (Pingyaogucheng) with a taxi, they come to pick you up to the Inn (2 min) because the taxi isn't allowed inside the ancient city. They offer to drive you one way to or from the train station (it's free). I was in a room with a traditional atmosphere (with a kang bed having a mattress a little harder than others).

The owner arranged a shuttle bus to pick us up at the B&B in advance. He took the initiative to introduce the map of the ancient city as soon as we arrived, and spoke very humbly and politely. The room is equipped with comfortable bedding, many details are well done, and there are sensor lights. The courtyard layout is not vulgar and it really fits the name of Dayin. The service from check-in to check-out is excellent. If you need anything, they will follow up immediately. Highly recommended

Nice place, Nice location; you can walk to the Ancient town, I took along time to catch nice scene along the city wall, park and canal. To get the hotel from Datong South Railway Station by bus no.31 from the bus station side(the area is connected), take around 30 minutes to get there (Yungang Jianguo hotel, the hotel is opposite, only 2 CNY, many food and minimart around there. There is Muslim food there if need(next to the entrance of C(behind the building). Nice service, self check-in, clean room and relaxing. the owner, you should to contact the owner before arrive, she so friendly and always help you, she suggested us about the famous local food and restaurants(Thank you so much). If you need to buy some necessary item and cannot buy at the around minimart, you can walk to the Yonghui Superstore by East side (the next junction) turn right to Yuhe West rd. (At the corner). From the hotel tobget Yungang Grottoes, you can take bus no. 31 (Yungang Jianguo side), get off at Shi Li Dian Cun Xi ( West Shilidian village), cross to another side and catch bus no.12 to the terminal stop(is Yungang Grottoes. Take 1 hour or 1.30 to get there.

I went on a spontaneous trip with my friends. I chose this homestay because I was attracted by the decoration style of the villa. I stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. I have to say that it was really comfortable. The staff was enthusiastic, the service was in place, the station was picked up, there were fruit snacks every day, and delicious Tremella pear soup was delivered after the trip. All kinds of bottled water and drinks were free to drink. The breakfast provided was also very fresh, and you can arrange the time for the dishes in advance. The facilities here are complete, Dyson hair dryer, mousse bedding, projection TV, L'Occitane toiletries, which are very classy. The most important thing is that this is the Wulongxiang Villa District, the environment is good, it is really quiet, and I rested well at night after a day of play. The location here is not far from the attractions in the ancient city, and you can get there by strolling. Finally, I would like to thank the beautiful girl Xiao Zhang for picking us up and taking on multiple duties. Whenever I see her, she is either cleaning the room, cleaning the yard, watering the flowers, and wiping the tables and chairs in the yard several times a day. She is really hardworking and very attentive when I ask her for help. Datong, we will come again and choose to stay here again!

It is the place where I could dive myself into the historical atmosphere, peaceful and gorgeous. They decorate the room with classic furniture which can bring people back to the the past dynasty. I stayed here only one days but I'm sure I will be back. I'm really impressed by their hospitality and service. It's like I'm in my own home. Highly recommended!

Another wonderful stay with the lovely Pipa Inn. If you travel to the gorgeous old town of Datong, this is where you must stay!!! The staff are so friendly, the rooms and hotel are beautiful, great location in the middle of the old town and the inn can arrange a driver to get you to all the historical sights. Highly recommend.

Nanshe is a brand new hotel located in the downtown area. The building itself is brand new, modeled in chinese traditional courtyard style. The area is quiet but close to attractions and shopping streets 大同不夜城. It is located next to the datong ancient city walls north gate, within walking distance to nine dragons wall, huayan temple, shanhua temple and the Southeast Yi Historical and Cultural Block. There is also a bus stop outside that goes round the area.Cab fare is less than 30 rmb to Yungang Grottoes and Datong south highspeed train station. Friendly and attentive staff checking for allergy if any. The owner was kind enough to meet me at the train station. Breakfast is simple fare consists of millet congee with side dishes, tasty noodles in warm broth, toasts and local pastries etc. Freshly made coffee from a semi auto coffee maker. Hotel serves light sweet soup to guests before dinner. Free fruits and cookies in the lobby. Washing machine and dryer are avail for use. My room has an overhead projector with wide selection of movies. Clean and comfortable. Room has many wall sockets for charging. Bathroom is huge. Deposit 200 rmb as all the facilities are brand new. Enjoyable stay. Datong is delightful a comination of the old and new.

It's just across the street from Huayan Temple. Go there when it opens at 8am to avoid tour groups and large crowds. The room is large, and the upstairs is quiet, clean, and thoughtfully provides disposable bath towels and toilet seats, as well as body lotion and facial cleanser. The proprietress is kind and friendly. Datong is not cold at the end of October. Come and experience the charm of ancient buildings in Shanxi! A small suggestion, it would be more convenient to install a full-length mirror behind the door.

What you see on the website is what you get. This is the hotel where the pictures and the actual situation are the most consistent when I booked a room on Ctrip. The price-performance ratio is also super high, and the service is even better, patient and meticulous. Although the breakfast is simple, it is refreshing, clean and filling, and you can also taste the local specialty snack-wan tu. The ticket to Pingyao again booked by the hotel is slightly cheaper than that of Ctrip. The hotel also provides a free tourist map of the ancient town and recommends the route to play. The service is really great. Next time I go to Pingyao, I will stay at Heping Mansion. The two dogs are also very cute. They only stand outside the threshold of the gate and don't enter the gate. They are very human.

The owner and her husband are super lovely, kind and helpful people. They drove me to the train station and helped me book a bus ticket as well. She even went back to the train station to bring some food that another traveller had left behind! The hotel is really well located right next to the old city and train. The room was lovely and cozy and made me feel like a princess. It was one of my favourite places to stay so far!

This hotel is very nice, very quiet and very well situated in the old city. We had a very pleasant and good night. And the best is still the personnel/owners that are very helpful and kind. Thank to them we have been able to retrieve a bag that we forgot in then train ! Also there are traditional costume to make very nice pictures and they offer nice gifts. Everything’s just perfect here.

Good experience in this boutique Hutong hotel in Pingyao . The room is big and extremely comfortable , the breakfast is in a local style , the cleaning is fine and the architecture is amazing . Really easy to get from the central train station and inside the ancient city.

One of the best hotels in terms of value for money we’ve stayed in during our 2+ year world trip. Photos paint an accurate picture. Staff are incredibly friendly, local breakfast with plenty of veggies, and the location is right in the old city while being away from the madness of the main streets. Beds are hard but comfortable. And the courtyard, it is só so pretty, especially in the evening. 10/10, would absolutely come back and stay again.

The environment is very good, the breakfast is also great, the hotel staff is very friendly, there is a sister Liu who is very friendly and speaks softly. This small courtyard is really great, I want to stay there next time.

My family (2 adults and 2 teenagers) stayed at 陆合景客栈 for 2 nights when we visited Datong. The hotel was very beautiful, and the family room was excellent. The beds we comfortable, and the room was very well equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The hotel was very nicely decorated to match the atmosphere of the ancient city. I would like to especially give commendations to Ms 任红霞 and Mr 付强. Both of them provided exceptionally good service during our stay and made sure that all our questions and needs were fulfilled. They are exceptional staff of the hotel and I hope the hotel management rewards them for their hard work. Highly recommend this hotel to anybody who is looking for accommodation in Datong ancient city.

Let's put it this way, this is a hotel with a poor value for money. The location is good, the view outside the window is good... and that's it... Let's put it this way, this is a hotel with a five-star price but only three-star hardware. I went to Datong in winter, and for me, a little potato from the south, it was not only cold but also dry! The hotel room was electrically heated! That dryness... the chapped corners of the mouth are a small matter. People with rhinitis are really uncomfortable, and what's more terrible is that my eyes are so dry that they are almost conjunctivitis! The second day of staying in the hotel, I was so scared that I ordered takeout to deliver eye drops overnight, and I used a whole can every time. I couldn't control my tears every time I opened my eyes every day... I spent more than 800 yuan a night in the off-season, so I don't deserve a humidifier? Taking a shower in the bathroom is also a big problem. This is the first time I have encountered a faucet in a luxury boutique hotel that can't control the size of the water flow, and can only adjust the temperature. And the shower area is half open, without any cover, so every time after taking a shower, the water can directly overflow outside. The water pressure in the bathroom is so high that you feel like an aunt is rubbing your back... You can't even cry out in pain 😣 And there are no hooks in the bathroom, so in winter, after taking a shower, you have to shiver and blow air to dry outside and put on clothes... Really... This is really painful for me as a southerner... I hope the hotel can improve and don't waste such a beautiful view

The room is very clean and tidy. It is very close to various attractions in the ancient city. It is very convenient to travel. I chose this place after looking at the photos in the online guide. The exterior decoration is very good. The boss also gave me a late check-out before leaving. He is very friendly!
