We had a hard time looking for the reception area (it’s in the 10th floor). They should’ve include the name of the building too. GPS went crazy haha. I requested for a room with a hair dryer and they granted it 17th fl tho. The room is so tiny but you just get what you pay - don’t expect too much. Room has cockroach and a bit old but at least it has a smart lock. Not so noisy except for Filipinos on the other rooms and talking in the hallway so loud you can hear them,

Hong Kong New Style Guest House is such a good place since it's along Nathan Rd. and near the mtr Mong Kok station and also near the bus stops. It's also near the Ladies market and Sneaker street. The place is quite small, so don't expect too much but since you're just travelling it's good. It has a heater in the bathroom and an aircon if the weather is hot. But since we booked in February, we didn't need to use the aircon since it was cold. All over stay was great even though we arrived at 3am, the caretaker answered our call and assisted us via call for check-in.

As I was staying for 4 nights, I was given a room which has common ammenities like a set of washing machine and dryer (which might be used to cleanup the other rooms' bedsheets after they have checked out). Room is small (no choice due to space constraints in Hong Kong). Other than the building which looks old and scary when you arrive back at the area at night, the flat / room is well-lit and looks very new. No cockroaches at the room I was given (as mentioned by some reviews) but there were a few ants here and there and I guess unavoidable due to it being a relatively old building. Most importantly, best to have a wechat acc, so you can communicate with the owner easily.

Receptionist is friendly. Location is near ferry , beach and cafes. I do hope they provide disposable slippers, the ones provided left a dirt print on the white rug so we didn’t use them afterwards. Water runner on pipes wakes you up but neighbors is quite. Hot water was low after several showers. Bottled water and soft drinks were provided. Not bad for an overnight stay.

Near at the MTR exit and very convenient and bed is comfy as well the location is at the center of tsim sha tsui. It also comes with a hair dryer and charging ports. The hot water also was very useful in this cold winter season. We arrived late at 12 midnight but their checkin time is up until 11 pm only. So i contacted them, and they gave me their whatsapp number. And from there one I was assisted by David. They gave very detailed explanation of the process and self check in was smooth. They are very accommodating. Wifi is fast. Overall the stay was 10/10 will book it again when we are in hk.

Our stay was great! The room was very small but the staff were so useful through online. Self check in was very convenient. The location was very excellent only a few minutes walk to subway station. Despite the size of the room, I recommend this place to stay.

Have not met the owner but all neccesary details were sent to you before the date. I also requested a room type and the owner get me what I want. Plus, the location is superb nearby the MTR. The things that are not good is the dirty elevator and noise-unprotection wall, you can hear the conver of a nearby room but it's fine for me compared to other angles

It's cheap, not at all as the picture its advertised , like a dormitory bunker with a decent bed and mattress, blankets are clean and pillow is okay, toilet is horrible with shower and no space to move. The amenities are only bad quality roller paper and a towel. Nothing else! The hotel and attract more customers if they are better with decent real pictures and better service, the owner a guy who doesn't speak English is really unfriendly and cold. He has no way to treat guests. They had shampoo though... It's okay for one night or short term. Easy check in and out! No deposit!

Let's start off with what's good about booking this hostel. Overall, the location and proximity is very good because of how close it is to Mongkok station. Fa Yuen Street Market, Ladies Market, and Sneakers Street are the main points of interest in Mongkok. These places I mentioned are just a couple minutes away from HK hostel. Now, let's talk about the service and amenities. HK hostel is a budget hostel so I wasn't expecting a top-tier service. It was below average. The room given to me was very small. I saw the room I stayed at beforehand but I didn't know it was actually small irl. I would compare my room to a matchbox (not exaggerating lol). I want to change my room to a bigger one but I guess the hostel was fully booked because of CNY. What made my stay nightmare-ish was the noise coming from the clothes dryer. Each time someone uses the dryer machine, I'll get startled because of the terrible noise that resonates throughout the halls of the hostel. It was painfully disturbing and I didn't have a sound sleep because of the noise. Be prepared for the loud noises from other rooms as well. Since walls are thin and flimsy, noise can pass through easily. It also smelled like smoke inside the hostel and it never went away until the day I left. The amenities and facilities are so so. The bathroom is squeaky clean (with warm and cold water), the sink has running water, there's a fridge as well. The amenities were just good for the price you paid. There's no front desk staff to bring your queries to. You have to contact the front desk staff in advance through We Chat to make your booking seamless and hassle-free. To sum it up, this hostel will be suitable for people who: 1. Want to be close to Mongkok city center and Mongkok MTR Station. 2. Budget traveller who doesn't care so much about hotel beauty and aesthetics. 3. Someone who has a tight budget but still wants to enjoy Hong Kong.

Great location which is next to train station but very small room with bad sound proof! If you have troublesome issues with sleeping, please double consider before book! You can hear people next door talking and every single noise they make, also booked non smoking room but we can smell it inside our room!! Bad water heater system because the water will become cold anytime in the middle of bath!!!!!
