Staff at check in double charged us our room fees that has been already paid. Our credit cards were asked for the purpose of deposit only though a mistake was made but was not communicate to us by the staff but only found out via credit card notification. I’m a Portuguese native speaker. It was a USD 1000+ charge on the card…
The stay was very good, except the room was a little cold and you couldn't control the air conditioning.
Not even at the hotel reception. At first, yes, but then it went back to the same thing.
No words.... Has been a trip INSIDE a subway construction area .... And I am not kidding unfortunately. I have reserved a single room kind bed. At beginning the reception assigned me one room at 4th floor exactly in front of jackhammer operators, which made the same noises as in war scenario with 2 beds.
Then after my immediate big complain reception have assigned me another room, #209. Different scenario : that was in front of a concrete grinding crane arrives from 8pm in the morning until 10pm in the evening. at 7am the noises of the vehicles began with the relative movement alarm and in the evening after 10pm the workers who hammer gradually finished at 1am in the night. all i have timed videos to prove my experience. I asked several times to assign me a room ON OTHER SIDE (that are outside the ”war operation area”) but answer was always _ ”SORRY SIR, THE ROOM ON BACKSIDE ARE FULL AND WE DO NOT HAVE SPACE AVAILABLE” .
Today at check out I have asked a discount, as feedback the receptionist charged me 20EUR more for 2 peer juices I have got from minibar......
I do not know how to describe this experience, I have been many times in Intercontinental and I have been always satisfied.... BESIDE THIS LAST TRIP THAT IS REALLY SOMETHING I WANT TO FORGET
Travellers' take extreme care going there !! At least until the subway works under room balcony are finished !!! Can not upload pictures the website tell me ”unable to lad” but I can sent ll of them separately
This is the most anticipated accommodation on our honeymoon in Porto.
We stayed at Airbnb for two days and Thetman the last two days.
Airbnb is very accessible to downtown and the host is friendly ^^; I wanted to stay here for 3 nights, but as soon as I checked in, I said I was going to stay with Eatman for 3 nights..
It is quite a distance from downtown Porto. We always rode an Uber-like taxi called the Bolt Bolt, so we didn't have any problems with luggage.
The unique quiet atmosphere of the Dead Man + antique interior + pastel tone interior... It's really indescribable.
It was an executive room, but not only the room facilities but also every corner of the hotel was so pretty and cute.
On the last day, I also had a massage at Caudalie Spa, which is quite different from the meridian or Thai massages I get in Korea, but it was enough to relieve my sore throat.
The restaurant meal was excellent, the view and the pool were all satisfactory.
In particular, I was very satisfied with the price I booked through Trip.com ^^
This hotel is recommended for a quiet evening in Porto. It's a bit far from the city, but you can get there quickly by public transportation. The facilities and breakfast are good. A swimming pool is also available.
The most comfortable hotel I stayed in during this trip to Europe. Not only is the room large, the hygiene and facilities are very good👍, but the location is also very good, and most attractions can be reached on foot.
The hotel had great service, including hotel information at the front desk! The breakfast area overlooks the city of Porto and has a great view. This is not limited to this hotel in Portugal, but there are no slippers or toothbrushes in the room, so you need to bring your own. If I have the opportunity, I would like to stay in an upgraded room.

GGuest UserIn the center of the old town, you can basically go to any tourist attraction within one kilometer. It is very friendly to traveling bosozokus. There is nothing to say about the interior of the hotel. It is almost the same style as Lello Bookstore. Harry Potter is enough. The elevators and guest rooms are a bit Budapest. It feels like a big hotel. The air-conditioning panel in the room is actually touch-screen. It’s very magical~ The service is also good. After arriving, it’s easier to sit and check in. The check-in time is not stuck. There is also a welcome drink. I usually choose the special one. Port wine, and someone knocks on the door every night to deliver chocolates. Maybe the only bad thing is the small alleys on both sides of the hotel, which are basically tobacco shops and bars. Young people gather there at night and make noise, which will probably last until after 2 o'clock. The second floor is being renovated during the stay, which is quite disturbing. Visit the public area on the second floor. If you like retro, you can really try this hotel.
GGuest UserYou get what you pay for. Accessible, excellent service from multilingual staff. Breakfast outstanding. Problem with AC in room, moved swiftly.
GGuest UserImpeccable service and the staff is intelligent and beyond professional. I’d say they were my favorite part of the stay. I loved the design and luxurious feel of the hotel, as well. The rooms are on the small side in Portugal but this hotel is of high quality and extremely clean. The sauna, steam room, and are pool are incredibly beautiful. Great location. Wonderful breakfast. The bed was super comfortable and the hotel was always quiet. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends. I’d love to know who developed the hotel. One thing that I wish I had been told is that there was a rooftop. No one mentioned this at check-in and I just saw it in another post on Google.

GGuest UserDuring the trip to Spain, I chose the five-star Renaissance in Porto because it is conveniently located in the city center and almost all attractions can be reached on foot. Secondly, it is relatively new. The hotel is very clean and simply furnished. Except for not providing toothbrush sets, it has a kettle, slippers, etc., and provides a bottle of free mineral water every day. The hotel is only a short walk from the airport to the light rail. The hotel's breakfast is very punctual from 7:30 to 11:00 and is also quite rich. Here you can taste Portuguese egg tarts, which are very delicious. During this trip to Spain, this is the only hotel that requires a deposit of 100 euros when checking in, but it has not been refunded 48 hours after check-out.
GGuest UserThe food in the hotel's bar is very good. The room is not very big, but the view and overall facilities are okay. It is between 4 and 5 stars. The only problem was that they forgot to clean our room, even though we didn't go out in the afternoon, they still forgot after reminding the hotel that it could be cleaned. Breakfast is relatively excellent. You cannot hail a taxi at the hotel entrance, but you can walk 2 minutes to the alley entrance to hail a taxi.
