5-Star Hotels in Auckland Region, New Zealand

The room is amazing. Clean room and great room service. They fulfilled my request even in the middle of the night. Location is perfect, able to get to queen street by just a couple minutes of walk.

Hi, hotel is conveniently located in the Airport. Short 2 minute walk from the International terminal. Staff at reception pleasant, Restaurant service very helpful. It was easier to go to the restaurant and get a reservation for dinner. Reception staff struggled to make a reservation for dinner. Rooms are comfortable, for a 5 star hotel it is missing toiletries and the soap provided is not to my liking. Overall a good stay

The scenery is beautiful, and grapes should be better in the summer. Very comfortable hotel, the child also saw a small hedgehog.

I never thought it would be such a high-end hotel. The environment is beautiful and the location is convenient. However, there is a big slope outside, so you need to be careful when carrying heavy luggage. The breakfast is delicious, the service attitude is good, and the tea is delicious.

I am travelling with family with kids and elderly. The grand is probably the best central location that you can find in Auckland if you are taking public transport. The pickup and dropoff for Skybus to Auckland airport is a 5 min walk away. The surrounding has plenty of restaurants including japanese & Chinese food. Facilities wise it has a gym and a heated swimming pool which the kids enjoy. Room is clean & spacious. Hotel price wise is on a high but weighing all the plus points, I will book it again for all the reasons above.

thumbs up: 1/ location - right on the viaduct harbour 2/ room is spacious & with practical layout and furnishing 3/ nice to see beau the labrador, the ambassador of the hotel  4/ concierge staff mr kim was professional for addressing us  thumbs down: 1/ check in - checked in at about 3pm and waited for more than 40 minutes to have the room ready ... luggage wasn't even sent to the room and needed to wait for another 20 minutes 2/ housekeeping - an area needed big improvement ... it' was not up to park hyatt's standard ... missing replacing tea cups, wine glasses, body lotion, soap, slippers, water, and etc ... the floor was with dust after staying 9 nights ... soap dishes weren't cleaned everyday 3/ breakfast - so apparently short of staff and training ... there were times proper cutlery wasn't prepared when seated and needed to ask for it .. missing orders like cup of coffee and water 4/ guest services - please don't expect calls to be picked up timely

The most satisfactory and favorite hotel during this trip around New Zealand's North Island My family is very satisfied with this hotel.

We loved our stay in Mövenpick Auckland . I stayed with my family . The room is clean and spacious .The beds are soft and comfortable.Our room is on the 8th floor and the view facing the pier is spectacular. There was a rally at the square down below and we could barely hear it. No problem with soundproofing that we encountered. The bathroom is spotless and water pressure of the shower is lovely. Room service is prompt and the service was top notch. I would definitely stay there again. My kids aged 6 and 9 also had a wonderful time . The loved the chocolate hour and the ice cream . They always look forward going back to the hotel from a busy day out exploring Auckland.

Hotel location is very good, crossing a small road is the port, not far from the sky tower Queen Street; the staff is very warm; breakfast is simple but enough to eat; whether the room or restaurant, ventilation is very good 👍

Good location for dinning and exploring the city. One problem is no car parking and just small 2 space for the valet parking service so it have to be wait quite long time.
