Downtown Miami
We will stay here again when we come back to Miami. The hotel service is very good, we arrived very early in the morning, the hotel still tried to help us find a vacant room for us to check in. There are big supermarkets, pharmacies and monorails that travel around the city for free within a few minutes of walking. I will still live here next time.

I've been staying at Ocean Pointe since the early 90's and have always enjoyed my stay. I suggest opting for the 2 bedroom model for the master bedroom view of the ocean. The one bedroom units have the bedroom next to the entry door and exterior walkway - the extra money will be rewarded with the view from your bedroom. The resort is convenient to some of the best restaurants in the Upper and Middle Keys as well as Robbie's Mariana and other tourist stops. Even when our destination was Key West we first stop for the night at Ocean Pointe so as to start fresh in the morning to continue our drive south at a relaxed pace. This trip was strictly for relaxation at the resort and it fit the bill perfectly.

We booked a room with a sea view, and paid the fee in advance. Afterwards, the waiter arranged a sea view room with a front balcony facing the sea on the third floor. Although it is facing the sea, it is the lowest floor of the hotel because of the low floor Rooms, and a platform, you can't see all the sea on the balcony. It is the worst room with a sea view. After you check in, you will find a front desk clerk to request a high-rise room of the same type, but the front desk clerk will not change it. , Said no, the high-rise only has side view of the sea, which is different from the booked room. We do not agree. After many communications, we adjusted to a front. Although the sea can be seen, the windows cannot be opened. A room on the 15th floor with a side balcony. Although the room is large, it is very old and has been upgraded for us. We do not need to upgrade the large room, we only need to have a balcony room with sea view according to the booking conditions. The waiter means no, because the fee has been paid in advance and cannot be refunded. It is night, and there is no other way. This large room without a front balcony has a sea view and does not match the booking conditions. I feel very uncomfortable! Communication is difficult due to the lack of language, as if cheated! We ca n’t understand that such a large hotel has a total of 16 floors and many sea-view rooms. It is estimated that there are nearly 60 same rooms, but we will arrange the worst room for you. If you want to change it, there is no, anyway. The money has already been paid, and it will not be refunded to you. I can't live with it. I can't understand it. It is recommended that domestic guests do not book this hotel.

I’ve stayed in plenty of different quality hotels motels and resorts, and this is an experience I will never forget. It was like a 1990s horror film. Gnats EVERYWHERE. I have no idea where they were coming from. They refused to leave. I smashed 5 and 5 more would come back. They seemed to be very attracted to the HVAC filter in the closet, as well as the crevices of the ceilings & walls. Most notably, ME. That could be you or your children. They were flying into my arms and neck and were trying to fly down my ear. Disgusting! I don’t even experience that outdoors! RocketStays response was “did you check under the kitchen sink for bug spray?” I shouldn’t have to poison myself to poison a bug. Do you not know what pest control is? Im surprised gnats we’re the only thing I saw and there were no ants. I’m sure there are bed bugs but I could not really confirm. If anything there is and they tried to detail the mattress itself to get rid of the stains. They could not however, get rid of the human sweat silhouette that is stained into the mattress. Disgusting. Very clearly Sleeping in someone else’s filth. I considered sleeping on one of the couches and wrapping myself up in a sheet with a mask on but I told myself there’s no reason to punish myself. I ended up washing my laundry with the in-unit machines that seem like they were just placed there recently and I hit the road at midnight. I slept in my car at a nearby turnpike service area. I slept great and woke up to a beautiful sunshine followed by an immaculate breakfast far away from room 203 at this location. As someone else said, VERY sketchy. Even the lock code situation is sketchy. That means if someone is watching my door they can easily enter the code and get right in when I am not there. Each set of blinds had one slat missing so someone with the right view could always look in. The stovetop and oven are covered in grease and grime. One gentle swipe of the hand and it comes right off the surface. Would not recommend you book any room type here. Keep your kids far away from here. I say that as a single adult with no kids. This building is unsafe. Destruction, infestation, dust and mold. The bathroom was clearly recently “remodeled”, but the entire place still looks and feels like the slums. Quite a depressing loss of $307+. The best parts about it were the in-unit washer and dryer, and the fact the Cheesecake Factory was not too far away for dinner. I thought I would cook something on the stove with the included weak cookware, but I refused to even consider utilizing the water from the sink for cooking water. God only knows what the pipes have been through in this place. Think about that. Very scary place. Assume all 5 star reviews are fake. Especially one that said “quiet safe neighborhood” or something like that. No it’s not. It’s way back in the deep end of a No Outlet road covered by trees and darkness. It was no safer than a New York City street at any time of day. I could

This place was really cheap for Miami Beach front room -- and you pretty much get what you pay for. This place was clearly AMAZING at some point in it's lifespan, but it needs some MAJOR updates. Some pros/cons: PROS - elevators are all updated and super fast, the location is pretty awesome -- it's in north beach but there is a FREE trolly that picks you up almost in front of the hotel that will take you to South beach, It is right on the beach, it's cheap, there is valet parking that is FREE (you still have to tip -- but you don't pay for your car to stay every night) -- REALLY good water pressure & hot water. CONS - the check in/front desk folks are SUPER rude and unfriendly!!! There are no good places to eat in the hotel, there was no ice machine, there were two small, thread bare towels and two small thread bare beach towels, There was no central ac in our room -- they had a mobile unit set up that vented out the window -- it was cool enough but not super great.
