Lovely hotel! very convenient and close to the city! we stayed in 2-bedroom connecting apartment for just 2 of us, so comfortable as it was spacious and the bathroom has a washing machine & dryer which works so well for our laundry! Lovely kind staff & hotel manager to, allowing us to be able check in early at 11am due to our early flight landing! Of course after earlier notification so that the hotel can get the room ready! Thank you for the hospitality & will be back here for sure if i return visiting NZ again!

The location was excellent, just a ten-minute walk from Morry Creek. The only minor hiccup was that the motel's email had the wrong room number, so it took us a few minutes to find our room. Our suite was very spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The room was well-equipped with an electric heater and electric blankets. We also tried New Zealand's 'national dish' – the chicken pie – at the convenience store just a minute's walk away. It was delicious! Definitely don't miss it, as you won't find a pie with such great value for money anywhere else on the South Island, haha.

The room was clean and tidy. The boss and the staff were very nice. We arrived in the morning and went to the hotel to store our luggage. We happened to meet the boss (who is Chinese). We, an old couple, did not speak well, so we asked for the boss's phone number and discussed: Can you help me call a taxi when I return to the hotel in the afternoon? The boss directly said: Call me when you need me, I will pick you up, which touched me very much. When I called, the boss was actually busy, and then he came to pick us up without saying a word, sent us back to the hotel and went out to do business. I apologized and wanted to pay for the fare, but the boss refused to accept it. Their staff is also very good. After checking in, she told us about some of the surrounding dining and entertainment. We also asked some questions. She helped us find out and told us the next morning. The most home-like place to live in New Zealand, warm and comfortable. Friends who go to Kaikoura will definitely recommend this hotel. It is very convenient to the town center, intercity bus station, whale watching, and the train station (the same place as whale watching). It can be reached in 5-10 minutes. Thank you!

The check-in process was seamless, with the owner providing the password to the key box ahead of time so we could access the unit with ease. Once inside, we were impressed by the large, spacious layout and the high-quality kitchen equipment. The added touch of having two comfortable bean bag chairs for stargazing was such a lovely and thoughtful detail. And having two bathrooms was a huge plus, especially when traveling as a family. Overall, the combination of the quiet, scenic location, well-appointed unit, and attentive host made this one of the best hotel experiences we've had. We'd absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with exceptional stargazing opportunities. It's a hidden gem!

The location right by the waterfront was simply breathtaking, and the proximity to the whale watching center was an added bonus. While the unit was on the second floor, which required carrying our luggage upstairs, the view from the elevated position was well worth it. There was also the option of requesting a ground floor unit if stairs are a concern. The check-in and check-out process was a breeze, with clear instructions provided and a designated key return box for added convenience. Having an assigned parking space just outside the unit was also a thoughtful touch. But the true highlight of this hotel stay was the shower. The water pressure and temperature control were absolutely perfect, making for a luxurious and refreshing experience. And being able to watch the sunrise from the unit was the icing on the cake. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a tranquil, waterfront retreat with top-notch amenities and stunning views. The combination of the convenient location, well-appointed unit, and exceptional shower made this an unforgettable stay.

The room is spacious, clean, well-equipped and convenient for stargazing. From the room you can enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Tekapo and snow-capped mountains. However, the requirements for garbage sorting are relatively high.

Self checkin was easy and simple. No fuss. We arrived a couple hours early. Phoned the Mob No @ unmanned reception desk. Mgr gave us access code to our unit. Lovely cleaning lady arrived to complete finishing touches cleaning our unit but not expecting we had arrived early. No problem at all. Finished off her task. Our self contained unit no.2 was clean, warm & fresh. Parking space for our vehicle was great. Great value for money. Will definitely recommend staying there. Cheers

The hotel is small and the facilities are complete! There is a garage for the corresponding room, but the front desk does not go to work on Saturday and Sunday. The keys will be placed in the envelope after 2 pm, very creative!

The aunt at the front desk was very good. She took the initiative to inform where to play and the route. She learned that our flight in the afternoon immediately said that we could put the luggage in the small room. Let us go out for a while and come back to pick it up.
