Perfect location for exploring on foot. Apartments are very well-equipped with plenty of kitchen utensils. Handy to have washer and dryer too. A bonus was the dishwasher. I had a studio unit on the 6th floor which was warm, light and spacious. Bed very comfortable. Studio very quiet with no traffic or guest noise. Good lighting for reading and sewing - definitely not always the case in accommodation. Supermarkets, shops, galleries, Botanical gardens etc. all within walking distance. Reception and housekeeping staff were very professional, helpful, polite and friendly. Ahmed, on the front desk, was excellent.

I started this review with a 5 star rating but have changed it to 4 after a slightly strange post check out experience. This new hotel is well equipped with all amenities we could possibly need for a 3 night stay with our young son. It is an easy walk to New Regent Street and the Margaret Mahy playground, but nice and quiet at night. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. We took advantage of the parking on site which is conveniently located to the rear of the hotel. Which leads me to the strange experience! Post check out I received a voicemail asking me to call them as our parking space number had been knocked off the wall and asking me to “shed some light on the matter”. A little upset by the tone of the message, and horrified by the thought that we might have damaged something, I immediately rang them back to apologise and offered to pay for any remediations. The staff member I spoke to said the matter required further investigation and he would call me back. I then spoke to my husband who pointed out that the sign in question was in fact a printed sheet of paper stuck to the wall! He added that he didn’t recall hitting the wall, but if he had it would have been his spare tyre which wouldn’t have broken anything anyway. A third phone call came when we were told that they had managed to rectify the issue. It is a shame they didn’t look into it before calling me and causing me undue anxiety. So all in all, we had a great stay and would have certainly stayed here again were it not for the unsettling experience after we checked out.

Room was very comfortable and clean. good facilities. TV was amazing. Lots to choose from on it. Microwave for cooking supplied. Fridge also. Washing facilities if required and all Free! Staff were amazing. So very accommodating. Listening to all your needs and running with all your requirements. Very friendly team. Beds are very comfortable. Situated within walking distance of hospital and lots of places to eat around as well. A mall is not far away. Prices to stay were excellent.

I had a wonderful stay in a great location. It was close to Lake Tekapo and the supermarket on the lakeside, and I could see the stars from the garden at night. The area was full of accommodations, but it was quiet and I felt safe. The room was clean, there were two bathrooms, two bedrooms, and the living room was very spacious. There were indoor slippers, so I changed into my shoes, but I think it would be better if the dirt floor was a little larger. But I had a very good time. Thank you very much.

New and modern apartment style accommodation. Other than reception there is no other public facilities. The room was large, clean and with a well equipped kitchen area and shower room with laundry facilities (which were very welcome). Windows do not open which is a pity but perhaps a reason. Location was slightly off centre, not too far as Christchurch is not a big city but perhaps would consider more central options.

Fantastic apartment and phenomenal views. We were in an upstairs 2 bedroom so we had all the views. The apartment was really spacious, clean and well appointed. I hate being stuck in a studio room so having the space to spread out was wonderful. We came in on a misty day so didn’t really appreciate the views that Kaikoura has but we woke to a crystal clear morning and, wowsers, there are snow capped mountains to the left and a wild surf beach to the right. Having Sky was great too - got to watch the All Black (lose) and lots of Olympics. Shower pressure was the best and the bed was super comfy. Double glazing means you don’t really hear the road noise - it is quite a busy road. We walked into town the first night and walked about 50 metres down the road, to Hiku, the second night. Kaikoura is a very cool town where we had some blasts from the past - totally dreamy fish and chips, crayfish at the side of the road and a chocolate dipped ice cream. No fast food in this town which is what made us want to visit in the first place. Everybody’s really friendly too - the locals really make you feel,welcome.

Great Stay Near Lake Tekapo! The unit was sparkling clean and spacious, with a lovely courtyard to enjoy. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest. Contrary to some reviews, no deposit was required, which was a pleasant surprise. The location is fantastic—less than a 5-minute drive to Lake Tekapo—and parking right in front of the unit was very convenient. The check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. The facilities were great overall especially kitchen amenities and 2in1 washer with dryer! The dish wash machine helps lot on the kitchen cleaning work! The only suggestion I have for improvement would be to add a fence in the shower area to separate the wet and dry zones, which would make it even better. Overall, a wonderful stay. Highly recommend!

The location is good, about 7 minutes' walk from the center of the town. The room has ample heating equipments, so you can have a warm sleep even in the coldest winter days. However, the sound insulation condition is bad and will interact with the guests on the other side of a thin wooden door. The most difficult thing to understand is the area is less than 40 square meters, but the introduction says 80 square meters. Apartment type. I was not in the main building with the front desk in the East Tower. Move to the opposite side of the drum track from the front. You can cook your own meals in the room and do laundry. I had salt and pepper on the shelf and only two bags of detergent, so I bought some meat at the supermarket and grilled it, and I put my accumulated underwear in the drum-type washing machine, which also had a drying function, so I washed it. The room is very spacious and comfortable. It was nice because it was clean, but the only thing that bothered me a little was the sound of water in the bathroom, but as long as I closed the door, it wasn't a problem. There is also a balcony.

I stayed at Ramada Suites in Christchurch for two weeks in August whilst working at the Medical School. The location is excellent, easy walking distance to the CBD and services. The room was very clean and serviced daily. There was a fully equipped kitchenette, and washing machine and drier. The staff could not have been more accommodating.

I made a reservation for a twin room, but before check-in at the accommodation, I didn't see that there was a check email asking whether I wanted a queen or twin room again, so when I checked in, I got a queen room. There seems to be a difference in price between the queen room and the twin room. And after checking out at the accommodation in advance, I asked by e-mail if I could leave my luggage and go to pick it up the next evening. The male employee said no with a straight face. So, I showed them the emails they had exchanged and I was able to leave my luggage. I can't forget the very rude expression and gesture. I took a picture because I wanted to purchase it separately. I liked the accommodation itself. I was just disappointed with the male staff's response.

My family and I flew in from wellington on a cold night for Easter weekend and we are so happy to have found this gem! We were greeted by a lovely gentlemen on arrival, who was very helpful and kind with during our stay. We arrived into a self contained pre heated apartment . The amenities are modern and very well thought of, making this special place an amazing escape while providing all the home comforts for an easy few nights away. I really recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere to stay. We only just left and I'm looking for a reason to come back!!

The hotel sign is not obvious. You need to pay attention to it to find out. Uncle Maori called me by the name and checked in for me because I stayed two nights and upgraded my suite with living room, dining room, kitchen, and 2 bedrooms. Just leave the key on the door when you leave The hotel is right next to the lake, with beautiful scenery and superb lake views, and the starry sky at night. The car is parked in the hotel, free of charge throughout the day, 🈶️ 2 queen beds, bath products, hair dryer, kettle, microwave, stove, towels, slippers, no toothpaste and toothbrush. The New Zealand steak is good, and I cook it every night for dinner. There is free coffee and tea bags, and drinking coffee every day feels good. Just walk past the Church of the Good Shepherd, just go out to the lake, and check the starry sky at the Church of the Good Shepherd at night. It ’s beautiful! It's not far to the shops and supermarkets by car, it should be 10 minutes on foot The hotel does not include breakfast. I made sandwiches myself and checked out at 10 am

Pros: Everything was clean. There was ample heating. Relatively near the main tekapo area (1 min drive). House was spacious. Cons: The wifi password was handwritten badly and it was a guessing game to get the password. Also uncontactable via email. No barricade around the house and there’s other houses right next door. People could walk by your room / house windows and peer in. Which was what happened to me twice. Zero privacy unless curtains are fully drawn.

We are couple with a 5 year old girl. We paid SGD697.85 (Singapore dollar) for staying 2 nights in this “2 bedroom apartment” as stated. 3 points here to explain the terrible experience. 1. tv remote is not working. I don’t mind the owner making excuse like “ replied customer’s message within 20mins…..” but they actually took 29mins to reply (19:10 till 19:39). In fact, they didn’t manage to change the tv remote in the end. So I stayed 2 nights without using the TV! 2.there is no clear and obvious description that this “2 bedroom apartment” is actually an adjoining unit which means when u walked into the front door then there are 2 doors link to split parts of the apartment. The problem of adjoining units are thin walls are used to split the apartment into 2 small units. When u stay in this kind of apartment, u have to endure all kind of noises from whoever staying in neighboring rooms. We had 2 days enduring guesting from the other room shouting, slamming the door, kids screaming like crazy both early in the morning and afternoon! 3. When I reflect this bad experience with trip.com customer service, this hotel responded like they have no fault at all and played with words. This attitude makes us feel like being fooled. We paid money to expect to stay in an apartment with privacy and quiet environment but indeed we had such a bad experience! In this market, if it’s an adjoining unit, they should not charge at the rate as if it’s an entire apartment. I’m alright that they rejected to refund the extra amount they charged. Just have to reflect the facts in the review. Thanks.

After 9 days of traveling in New Zealand and staying in so many places, I like this one the most. It is clean and quiet, with very complete facilities, and the house with a courtyard is so beautiful that it makes people cry. Although it is a 5-minute drive from the small town of Kaikoura, Kaikoura is basically self-driving. It doesn't matter if you have a car.

The motel is right by the main road, so it’s very easy find it. The room we stayed at is clean, large, and very comfortable. The Black Rabbit Pizza is a stone’s away from it and the little Cods and Crayfish quick bite restaurant is 100 metres away. The view from the motel is amazing with snow capped mountains in the background. It’s great. Highly recommended.

Perfect location in Kiakoura. Walkable distance to everything but just far enough away for a quiet night sleep. Perfect communication from Sue and a lovely welcome. Lovely and clean apartment with a great view from the balcony. Parking was simply under the apartment and provided rear access. Would certainly stay here again and recommend a stay!
