The apt is clean, washer dryer provided and with the basic amenities .It has floor to ceiling glass window , so fantastic view. However the rooms bit small, esp the second room. The kitchen is ok , comparing to the previous apt , it has less equipment .But still overall is good. The facilities are fantastic - few types of pools for adult and children, wall climbing, playground, gym , basketball court. will book again.

It was a great stay. Just that the google map does not provide us with accurate direction to the hotel. Entering from the highway, it says the hotel would be on our right when its actually on our left. Check in was smooth and easy. Finding our room is also easy. The room was spacious and clean. I was just a little disappointed when I asked for a prayer mat and they said they used up all of them already. Every of the amenities provided are good, but why don't you provide a prayer mat as well in the room? Breakfast was also good, though they arent so much varieties, but the kitchen staffs might be understaffed or something? I noticed theres only one waitress cleaning the tables, the girl who manned the counter also helps in the kitchen, food that are finished took time to be topped up.

Very clean and tidy studio. We had a good time staying here. The staffs are very helpful. Strategic location, Queensbay Mall is just a 5 mins drive away. We even extended our stay for half a day.

We stayed in a king-size bedroom with a sea view. The room was clean and comfortable, but the design wasn’t quite what we expected—the sea view window was smaller than we had hoped, as we imagined a larger, more open view. The price was a bit on the higher side, especially when compared to other places nearby that offer two-bedroom studios for similar rates. I believe the hotel is still quite new, which may explain the pricing. Despite that, we enjoyed our stay! Since our room wasn’t ready at check-in, the hotel kindly offered us a late check-out as compensation, which we really appreciated. Overall, a great experience with thoughtful service.

While hotel it had its charms, it also showed its age. Let's start with the positives – the location is truly great, offering stunning views of the sea and easy access to Gurney Paragon and Plaza Malls. The service, too, was superb. The staff were friendly, attentive to ensure my stay was comfortable. However, the interior design of the hotel is very dated. While this might not be a deal-breaker for everyone, it's worth noting that the aesthetic feels somewhat tired. On the other hand, I was impressed by the spotless cleanliness of the room. Despite the dated decor, the housekeeping team did an excellent job of keeping everything tidy and hygienic. Overall, I had an enjoyable stay at the Gurney Bay Hotel. While it might not be the most modern or stylish option, its strengths in location and service make it a solid choice for those looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in Penang. If you're looking for a hotel with a more modern aesthetic, you might want to consider other options. However, if you prioritize location and service, the Gurney Bay Hotel is definitely worth considering.

everything just nice, just I don’t know how to handle the TV although there got tv box available. There got sofa bed can fit 2 ppl, 1 room with double bed, 1 room with single bed (is really small room), 1 bathroom (no need worry about the water pressure), kitchen with water filter, kettle, microwave, fridge, cutleries. House just next to lift, the sound proof at living area not really good, can hear outside ppl walking, room window sound proof ok. The parking locate at 6th floor and quite hard to go up & down, we decide park road side after that.

1. Hotel location is far from city which you will get quiet and chill stay. Every trip to sightseeing places is more than 1hr, coming back to hotel also experienced heavy traffic Jam. Once we arrived in hotel, we are tired to go anywhere. 2. On the day 1 , we have went out in the afternoon and when we came back , house keeping just started to clean the room only at 7pm. 2nd day at breakfast restaurant there was one gentleman asked us how was our stay ( this is only staff who interacted with us for 3 days) 3. Hotel room is big and view is nice 4. Amenity is just 2pcs of cookies.

The hotel service is first-class and is highly recommended for staying when traveling in Penang. The view from the sea view room is first-rate, all the staff are very friendly, and there are a variety of pillows to choose from. The room was very clean and tidy, and there was no noise at night. 

The room is new and clean with a nice design. Staff might lack of information as I tried to called the telephone operator regarding the price of buffet Ramadan , she can’t answered and have to forwarded me to the restaurant. Then I asked the restaurant staff how much discount for in house guest, she don’t know too. She said she will call back me after asking her manager but then the night shift staff called me and ask me how can assist me which meant they didn’t even communicate within themselves before calling me. The communication is bad. But the overall experience during my stay is fine.
