I overslept and was late for check-out, but the staff were very kind and helpful, and I wasn't charged any late fees. The hotel's proximity to the station was also a big plus. I'd definitely like to stay here again the next time I visit Osaka!

The accommodation is quite close to the station, and it was great that I could walk to places like Dotonbori. The place was clean, and even though it's unmanned, their response was quick and good! If I go to Osaka again, I'd definitely stay here.

Compared to places back home, it's definitely on the smaller side, but for Japan, the size is actually quite acceptable. It wasn't as cramped or dated as I'd imagined. With the lights on, it felt quite cozy, and the window provided good natural light. My only minor gripes were the lack of complimentary water and that housekeeping only came every three days. On the plus side, there's a 7-Eleven nearby, which is super convenient, and it's also very close to Tenkachaya Station. The neighborhood is residential and felt very safe, completely unlike what some online comments suggest about the 'western district' being full of homeless people; even at 9 or 10 PM, there were no drunks or homeless individuals around. Luggage storage is under camera surveillance with no staff supervision, which initially made me a little worried, but my bags were perfectly safe after half a day. All in all, it's very affordable and offers excellent value for money. 🫶

I had a good experience, although because I am tall I felt like a dwarf in my private room. View was into the the wall of the other building, tiny space for cooking and keeping my meals cold or frozen. The room included two bar chairs which were quite small and one needs to stretch himself after some time.
Bed was spacious enough for my needs.
The staff were very lovely and the communication with the property was very easy.
Because it is open, it is easy to occasionally smell cigarettes when someone smoking outside.
The noise level is acceptable considering it is next to the main street, but people do not make loud noises, luckily. Only when a car or a bike passes by.
Shared microwave in the hallway is perfectly functional and very easy to use.
Laundromat is directly on the opposite side and very easy to use.
If you are craving for something, there is a Lawson convenience store on the corner of the street.

Excellent hotel with self check-in! 👍🏻 Everything was quick and convenient, and the room cleaning was top-notch, a solid 5 out of 5! The location is superb, right next to the metro. The room has all the amenities, and a TV with movies and anime, which is a huge bonus for me!

The location is quiet and close to two train stations, making it convenient for getting around. The staff are very responsible and respond quickly, even late at night. When we had a problem with the water heater in the early morning, they sent someone to fix it the next morning. The staff member in charge even spoke Chinese, which was very thoughtful and dedicated. There's a small balcony, which is great for drying clothes. If you like trains, you can also watch them pass by at the nearby station from the balcony.
Downsides: The location is a bit too secluded. In winter, it gets dark very early, and there are very few dim streetlights in the residential area. There are almost no pedestrians, so as a solo female traveler, I felt a bit scared and had to return to the guesthouse early. There are no restaurants downstairs; you have to walk to find them. The water heater was troublesome; it's a storage type, so you constantly have to check if the water level is low and manually boil water, otherwise, you won't have hot water for a shower (I discovered this when the temperature was around 1-2 degrees Celsius, but once the temperature rose, the water heater didn't take as long to heat up).

The newly opened hotel was very clean and comfortable! The rooms were tidy and fully equipped, and there was even a washing machine in the room so I could do laundry anytime, which made me feel very secure. Although it's a self-service hotel, the check-in instructions I received via email beforehand indicated that there were staff at the counter, and the check-in process was very smooth. There was also a self-service coffee and tea bar in the lobby on the first floor, so I could drink as much as I wanted! I sent emails with any questions and received quick replies, which was reassuring. The location was also very convenient, right next to the Nipponbashi Shopping Street, making shopping very easy. There were convenience stores and restaurants nearby, perfect for sightseeing. Overall, it was great value for money, and I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Osaka!

The hotel's location is a bit out of the way, about a 1km walk from the JR station. However, the hotel facilities are really great – very clean and new. It's self-check-in, and there's enough space to open two 26-inch suitcases. There are also plenty of power outlets, and the bathroom is quite large with disposable toothbrushes provided. A 7-Eleven right next to the hotel is super convenient. The hotel also offers luggage storage. It's about a 1km walk to the outlet mall, but the scenery along the way is nice, so it feels like a pleasant stroll. I'm really satisfied with this hotel; I'll definitely stay longer next time. The main reason is it's quite affordable while still having excellent facilities, even if it is a bit off the beaten path, which I understand.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line (purple line), Miyakojima Station, but it might be a little far from the city center. If you don't mind, it's not a problem as the Osaka Metro connects everywhere.
The hotel has self-check-in and check-out, which is great – no need to talk to staff! 555
I recommend leaving before 10 am, otherwise you'll find the housekeeper trying to clean. I told them I'd be leaving in an hour, but they kept trying to clean (maybe because they didn't understand English).
In short, I left my towel, cup, and a note asking for extra green tea on the door. After that, the housekeeper didn't bother me anymore; they just hung my things on the door instead. It was a good introduction, great!
Overall, the price is good, it's clean, and the minimalist room is small, but fine. I was just there to sleep, so I left at 6 pm and came back at 11 pm – no big deal! 😘
I was too busy sightseeing to take any hotel review photos, sorry everyone!

AAngeloooStayed here for four nights during peak cherry blossom season, and it offered great value for money. The room was spacious enough for two people, and the kitchen was fully equipped. It even had a washing machine and a balcony for drying clothes. The downsides were the mediocre bed quality and the noise from the railway, which was quite loud even with earplugs. Additionally, the soundproofing wasn't great; I could hear noise from both upstairs and next door.

HHannah R CHotel were offering late checkouts to guests who left 5* reviews, so I feel that the reviews have been artificially inflated by people rating 5* so that they can get late checkout.
Location was quite far from the JR Namba station and even further from the metro Namba station.
The bed was really hard and uncomfortable.
Bathroom was tiny, kitchenette had a raised lip which was easy to trip over or stub your toes on. However, the size of the room was good, there was a good amount of space.
It would be ok to spend a night or two here but I think we were there 5 nights which wasn’t great with the uncomfortable bed.
When we checked in we were told a room number of an uncleaned room and had to ring out of hours to swap rooms, but that was all resolved quickly by the hotel.
Also to note, the keyboxes didn’t feel very safe/ secure because the codes followed a pattern (so if you knew one you’d know the other rooms), but we didn’t use the lockbox except for when we checked in so it didn’t affect us, but just something to consider.
Overall it was ok for a budget hotel but I think the reviews make it seem too good to be true!
GGuest UserThe place was ok but had 2 big problems.
1) ‘check in’ is *******!! It asks you to check in before online .. I did this. It also asks for a passport picture which I don’t need because I’m resident.. It should ask that before it asks me for a passport photo..
i
But when you get to the hotel it asks you to do the same exact check- in process again!!! Why? very very stupid!!
It then asks for information about guest 2… I was a solo traveler… there is no second traveler!! But you can’t skip it or change it!! I had to enter my information twice… very very very stupid and inept..
2) the room smelled like mildew… very strong stench..

GGuest UserVery impressed: A Wonderful Stay – Exceeded Expectations!
We were very impressed with our stay at this hotel in Japan. Although it’s an unmanned, room-only hotel with self check-in starting at 4 PM, our experience went far beyond our expectations.
We arrived early with a large amount of luggage—five large suitcases and four smaller bags—and hoped to just drop them off before check-in. Fortunately, we met a hotel worker, who we believe was a housekeeper. She was incredibly kind and helpful. She immediately contacted a hotel staff member and kindly offered to take care of all our luggage, bringing it up to our room after it had been cleaned.
She also explained the self check-in procedures and how to access the building, which was very helpful since there are no staff members normally present. We didn’t expect that level of support at all—it was clearly not part of her job, but she helped us willingly and with such a great attitude. We’re very grateful for her kindness.
The room itself was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The location was fantastic—close to various train lines (railway, subway, and local), duty-free shops, convenience stores, and many other attractions.
Highly recommended! We’d definitely stay here again.
GGuest UserNice place to stay for family and walking distance to Subway and only 1 stop away from Namba station. The room come with washing machine, cooking electric stove, microwave and toilet come with dryer for drying clothes. Will stay here again if visiting Osaka. Plus points nearby have supermarket within walking distance 10mins from hotel.
AAnonymous UserNice comfy and clean studio with all necessary amenities including washing/drying machine, ir cooker, table&cookwares, and a bluetooth speaker. Location is close namba nankai station and 5minutes away from metro namba station with unlimited food options nearby.
GGuest UserTop location for the price if you are planning Expo 2025 visits - the apartments is 10 mins walk from the station in a quite residential neighborhood and 3 stops away from Yumeshima station where the event is held. Nearby you can find both supermarkets and convenience stores as well as nice local restaurants and cafes, including a not so crowded Kura Sushi.
The apartment is tiny and not very convenient if you’re not used to confined spaces, but it’s still functional. The conditioner, washing machine, tv and other appliances were working properly. The bed however wasn’t very comfortable since the mattress was a bit outdated and sagging in the middle.
It is also worth keeping in mind that the walls are paper thin and you could hear basically everything your neighbors are doing. And the neighbors probably might hear you too if you are not quite enough.
Generally it is a typical low-budget Japanese apartment in a residential neighborhood, which might be a nice experience if you’re coming as a tourist and would like to experience a token of local lifestyle.
