Sunset Bay Club

Great location, 10 minutes walk down to the beach. There are 2 pools, one heated and always sun beds available. Did hear they had a booking system for these but we never had to. Bars, restaurants and a shop on the complex which was useful. The only issue was they had live music on from 4pm every day and it seemed unnecessarily loud. It didn’t bother us too much but can imagine it would be a nightmare if you had a balcony closer to the bars. Apartment was great, balcony overlooking the pool and very well equipped. The staff left a bottle of wine for my partners 30th while we were there which was a nice touch. Would stay again, but would definitely recommend emailing ahead and asking for a room away from the bars.
Skyview Hotel Tenerife

Everything corresponds to the description and photographs, clean, cozy, friendly staff, nearby there is a store, a kiosk with excursions, a bus station, a beach (waves, always a red flag), you can walk to the city beach with swimming pools, the nature is very beautiful, everything is super.
Hotel Ventus

I had two persons room in the northern corner of the building. The room is spacious with large bathroom and a corridor and built-in wardrobe. The hotel is nicely decorated and well maintained. The balcony was towards south-east, not very large with a table and two chairs. But as wind in El Medano is always strong and comes from the east it was not comfortable to use it, also WiFi doesn't work on the balcony and part of the room away from the corridor. There room has a fridge and electronic safety box, and TV. There are two electric sockets next to the beds, but unfortunately only one socket next to the table, which is already engaged by the fridge. The hotel staff speaks well English and is friendly. One can access the hotel either with electronic card or with PIN code of the main door and your room. The PINs are sent by email, so I suppose late arrival after 19.00, when reception closes, is possible. The hotel is located almost in the middle of El Medano, next to the only shopping center of the city featuring SuperDino and quite noisy bar. There is also smaller Supermercado Guai in 200 m. But take into accound El Medano is a very small town 1 km in diameter, so everything is in walking distance. El Medano beach is just in 300 m from the hotel. All beaches in El Medano and to the east of it are open for the wind. So they are mostly occupied by the surfers and kite-surfers. There is a small part of El Medano beach protected by the mole. 3 km to the west there is La Tejita beach, which is covered from the wind by the Montaña Roja, also offering great views over the area. There is buses 411 and 408 from El Medano going to San Isidro, where you can change to bus to the Southern Airport, other directions or do more substantial shopping in Mercadona, Lidl or HiperDino. San Isidro bus station has a machine for topping up Ten+ bus cards. In the evining people gather at Plaza del Medano, which is quite vibrant place taking into account the town is tiny comparing to Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas.

We had a nice clean appartement which was very spacious. The bed is really good, very soft and we slept like babies. Bathroom was nothing special but clean which is the most important thing. Breakfast is a bit on the expensive side. (8,- for 2 small orange juice). The staff was friendly. We would’ve liked to stay longer but unfortunately it was fully booked. The only downside was the 100,- borg that has to be payed with creditcard as we didn’t have one but we got the appartement anyway. I recommended this place to others if they’re looking to relaxed without the screams from tourists. If you read this as a tourist please keep this beautiful island clean and show your respect. (We walked around with an empty bag picking up trash along the road)
Apartamentos Islamar Arrecife

Extremely welcoming staff and clean reception area, every member of staff took the time to greet us and smile! The decor is well considered and provides a luxury feel. We were offered a complimentary coffee whilst we waited for our room to be ready. The room has everything you need and we had a lovely view of the Arrecife coast. The beds were comfortable as were the other amenities with bonus points for a great bathroom and powerful shower! Towards the evening we spent time on the top floor in the hotels 'Solarium' which featured a hot tub and more glorious views of the Arrecife coast. We would not hesitate to book again as we found our stay to represent excellent value!
Elba Castillo San Jorge & Antigua Suite Hotel

This is our fifth time at this hotel and it never fails to deliver. From booking in and the reception staff greeting us with a smile. To the restaurant and bar staff making the holiday great always smiling nothing is to much trouble.. The rooms are a bit tired but always cleaned every day as well as spacious with everything you need. Some people complain as there is no air con in the rooms ,however, you can hire a fan from the local shop for 10 euros. Food is plentiful with a good choice for all including show cooking. Animation team work hard for the children and adults keeping you entertained both day and night. The hotel is well situated for places such as the beach and the local restaurants and shops. There is also a free bus that takes you to the further beach but it is also easy if your mobility is good to walk to. There is even a beauty salon on the premises with a pub that is run seperate from the hotel.
Servatur Terrazamar Sun Suite

Stayed here for 4 nights, 22.10.24 - 26.10.24. I've stayed at these apartments a couple of times before about 10 years ago, both in Sun Suites and the Terrazamar section. This time, I booked a room in Terrezamar, which is the lower section and was allocated room 207. Rooms remain a good size and whilst the kitchen cupboards and bathroom unit are the original units the furniture, beds, dinning table are all new and modern, with AC and digital safe provided at no extra cost. All balconies are a great size with modern patio furniture including two full size sunloungers, which is good as you get the sun all day at these apartments due to location, so if you fancy a quiet day you can still chill in your own apartment and not miss a minute of sunshine. Housekeeping is provided every other day and the lady who looked after our room was great, she was very friendly and when we came back to our room to find it flooded as the boiler had burst she wasted no time in sorting everything out and got maintenance straight to the room who replaced the boiler. We would see her most mornings as she started work on level 2 and she would ask us if everything was still OK, so we'd tell her ”no piscina today” which got a thumbs up reply. I didn't get her name, but she is definitely an asset to the hotel. The pool bar is fine, with reasonable prices for food and drink. Our return flight was a late one, so we managed to keep our room on for €30. The hotel is in a good location with the commercial centre with all the bars and restaurants, literally a stones throw away, which could be seen and heard from our apartment. Noise didn't bother us as we were out late most nights anyway, but if you closed your patio door, you could not hear anything, and if you're staying on a higher level, it's unlikely you'll hear anything. As mentioned I've stayed here before and probably wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Puerto Rico again.
Pension Casa Blanca

It's tiring to go upstairs. The bed is not comfortable. There was no hot water in the bathroom for two consecutive nights. The location is good. The hygiene level is also good for this price. The sound insulation is too poor. If you have a budget, you should choose a hotel.
Bristol Sunset Beach - Holiday Apartments
4.2/569 Reviews
Just returned from week stay and had a great time. Hotel location - perfect, couple of minutes from large supermarket, 5 mins walk to music square Hotel - very modern interior 2 bedrooms, also sofa bed. Kitchen had full size fridge/freezer, hob, microwave and even dishwasher. TV in living area and both bedrooms (we don't watch TV while on holiday but option there if you do). Only criticism is no air con (Hotel doesn't advertise as having so were already aware) ceiling fans in both bedrooms and free standing fan in room. Was exceptionally hot last week so did struggle a bit with no aircon. Another minor issue was we had requested upper apartment so be aware the balconies are small, only room for small table and 2 chairs so not suitable if you like to sunbathe on your balcony The rooftop bar was lovely and had great vibe. The noise didn't bother us - actually enjoyed the music but may not suit everyone (I wouldn't recommend to young families) The pool was small but we are more beach people so wasn't an issue for us. Staff very friendly. I would personally like to thank Chantelle who tried to sort out the transfer issue for us - the Jet2 transfer coach broke down and we had a bit of panic weren't going to get to the airport. Reception staff also have a room available to store our luggage and allowed us to use the showers in gym Overall we had fabulous stay and will definitely return - thank you
Apartamentos la Peñita

These apartments deserve more than 2 star. On arrival 20.30hrs Mavis the receptionist was brilliant booking us in taking us to show the various exit entry gates and then on to our apartment. Apartments are basic but everything you need is there and they are large, cleaned every other day and bedding changed twice weekly. Very large swimming pool and a very good priced bar / restaurant we had breakfast their every day. All the staff were very good and helpfull. The management here deserve a mention it is obvious that they want you to have a good holiday and they are going to help you by not overcharging and working as a family. If I were to pick fault it would be unfare as they would be minor. It's a very well done from me.
