Impressive lobby. Nice restaurant and bar. Front desk is polite & efficient if somewhat cold and robotic.
Rooms are not sound proofed from the outside- stayed on the 4th level in a deluxe room- windows weren't double glazed and seal was poor- traffic & street noise audible and disruptive to sleep. Draft coming in from the poorly sealed windows can be felt. Otherwise the room was reasonably comfortable- bedding was comfy, the usual amenities and large enough TV screen. The bathroom was cramped and small, just functional.
Overall, not sure if I will return again given the poor soundproofing of the rooms. The only advantage is its proximity to the international airport terminal. Otherwise just an average stay.
Enjoy our stay at Citadines .. Excellent services by all staffs … Always friendly & helpful. Big thanks to James at the front desk who helped with the luggages down to the car during check out ..
Convenient location.. The only comment is about the laundry. When I made the booking, it stated laundry is free and I am happy with that. However, found out it charges $4 each for washing and drying..
Other than that, all are good. Highly recommended ..
I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza Sydney Burwood and found the experience to be satisfactory. The hotel's location is convenient, situated within a short walking distance to public transport and a shopping center, which made exploring the area quite easy.
The room was spacious and clean, providing a comfortable environment for rest. However, I noticed that the breakfast options were somewhat limited, which was a slight drawback.
The rooftop pool and Skye Bar were highlights of the stay, offering a pleasant space to relax and enjoy views of the city.
Overall, while there were some areas that could benefit from improvement, my stay at the Crowne Plaza Sydney Burwood was acceptable and met basic expectations.

Excellent place to stay in Sydney, a great alternative to a city hotel if you require multiple bedrooms or a kitchen. Clean serviced apartments with comfortable beds and full kitchen amenities. Our 2 bedroom had a balcony. The area “Green Square” is a tad uniform in design, prone to strong winds and a little dreary. That said, it’s very conveniently located above Green Square station which is one stop from Central and two stops from the airport so accessing all of Sydney’s major landmarks is no problems at all from this place. It has fairly decent cafes around it, lots of fast food outlets and a supermarket all within a stone’s throw.
Heated pool and gym both decent.
The only gripe and warning I have, especially for international tourists, is their $3 card surcharge. In this “cashless” hotel that is illegal behaviour and not permitted under Australian law. When challenged it was not applied to me as I stated I was more than happy to pay the security bond with cash. All businesses must afford you a way to pay that does not attract a fee in this country. If the owners want an extra $3 I suggest they apply it to the room rate to avoid these kinds of displeasures.
Fortunately the service at reception is fine, so I did not reduce my ratings based on this unnecessarily upsetting and stupid policy the hotel has. I do hope it is scrapped as it is tacky and unnecessary charges like these detract from the service standard achieved by the competent staff employed at the hotel.
The front desk clerk was very polite! Breakfast options are plentiful! Convenient location, close to restaurants! The room was clean! The lighting is dim and the water pressure is weak! But all in all, the impression is 99 points, and I will stay again if I have the chance.
I was not very impressed with my stay at this hotel. The room had poor sound insulation—I could hear footsteps from the neighboring room as if someone was walking right inside my own. Additionally, the sound of water running through the pipes from the adjacent or upper rooms was so loud that it felt like it was coming from my own bathroom, making it difficult to get a restful sleep.
The mattress was too soft and sagged uncomfortably, causing back pain. Moreover, the layout of the hotel was rather confusing, making it difficult to navigate back to my room at times. Overall, my experience was not as pleasant as I had hoped.

Stayed overnight after arriving from overseas, it was a little hard to find due to lack of signage facing central railway. Recieption was fantastic, the manager obviously loved his job and was excellent at treating us and processing out Trip.com booking. It is a wonder that a bigger hotel hasn’t snapped him up!
Will stay there again on our next trip.
The location, price and service was great, very quiet considering it’s on a Main Street and only a short walk to Haymarket (China Town) right across from Central Station

Buffet breakfast
Food was good especially the omelette.
Actually services were so good and very efficient to clean up the table even though we just stepped out to grab more food
A card that indicate the table is taken and return the card when complete of the meal may help.
The smart view TV is nice as we may project our cell phone to TV to enjoy. However, internet connection wasn’t that good.
View not good as block by the Sydney Tower. Location is excellent for shopping.

Great location but a bit pricey for the hotel. Not quite certain it qualifies to be a five star hotel as I have stayed in many hotels across Asia and Middle East.
Breakfast buffet was not up-to scratch to my standards. Omelette order is taken privately by the waiter rather than seeing your omelette jn action. Pastry variety was okay. There was no official coffee station as order is taken on arrival.
Good this was children under 12 are free.

We had a great stay in the hotel for a week. We loved the breakfast which was delicious and lots of choices. The location is so good and the staff were so friendly and polite and helpful. From the receiption to the housekeepers, the staff always smiled and said Hello to make us felt very welcome.
We would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Sydney😀💯

RRoyale CheeseI usually do not post reviews, but I had to this time to share my experiences.
I stayed for a total of 5 nights, Tue and check out on Sunday(7-12 Feb 2023)
Plus point
-Location is really good , plenty of thai/chinese restaurants and room is huge.
-Bed is comfortable,
-Yoshie is one that was one more friendly staff that I remembered her name , please give her a raise or wine on me.(she is a Japanese, in case i got her name wrong)
Hotel staff, is a on and off experience.
The night ones tend to be more ”cold” and the day ones are much better.( again, Yoshie was the ”better” ones, there are more, but I couldnt remember their name)
Now on to the exciting part...
Tuesday- Checkin day, A smooth day but without hand towels and when I asked for them before leaving the place for a concert.
( they claim they were in laundry or something and I find it hard to believe for a 5 star accommodation)
We were without a frying pan as well( they send it up though when i called for it)
Wed- Requested for toothbrush/Toiletries and had to request again after waiting for more than an hour, as it was forgotten ,I presumed
Thu- Requested to change towel when we went out in morning, nothing was done when we were back in evening.
I especially informed the morning reception guys to not forget it, but someone in the middle must have forgotten it.
Evening time, The staff upon informing said they will have it there in 10 mins, which they did.
By the way, the phone became faulty but I didn't bother to inform as I thought I wont have much trouble with it not in use.
I was wrong.
Friday- The express cleaning end-up with all the towels taken away and, thats it.
We found out when we were back in evening.
We were left with no towels and on top of that the phone was not working so I had to go downstairs to inform the reception/staff , on night shift i suppose.
Again they said would be there in 10 mins, which more or less they did.
Saturday- There was a huge cockroach and I had to kill it myself, informed the staff downstairs but honestly I dont expect change of room or anything, just to feedback.
From the above, you can see there were full of dramas and I think these are basic expectations.(especially the towel part)
Would I be back there if I ever go Sydney again?
Unlikely.
JJasTalbHayI stayed at Meriton for 9 nights with my son in Oct 2022. The location is excellent, with the Townhall train station & light rail located within 2mins walk from the building. There is also a Woolworths next block. The major shopping district is within less than a minute walk / located at the next light rail station, QVB station.
One of my biggest pet peeve, are the lifts, there are 3 of them and they run from carpark levels all the way till the top floor which is probably in the 50s, we had to wait really long to take the lifts. Meriton apparently leases out their carpark lots too, hence the wait for the lifts is even longer during weekends when there’s a mix of the existing room guests, new guests checking in with their luggages as well as the people picking up their cars from the carpark. It’s just a hot mess.
Meriton should really consider segregating the lifts to serve different floors. And have the people who are picking up their cars, to use other lifts instead of main lobby lifts.
I like how the room is equipped with a Washer & dryer, was able to have clean set of clothings everyday. I couldn’t start the dryer, called for help and had to wait more than 30mins, the handyman only came after my second call.
Although I stayed at the property for 9 nights, the room-keeping was very basic , just a change of new set of towels, bed was made, disposal of rubbish and replenishment of condiments (like coffee, creamery and sugar) and bathing supplies. No vacuuming of floor or washing of the bathroom, hence the room is dusty and the bathroom especially the rubber tubings surrounding the glass door has mould too. Also, the frequency of house-keeping was inconsistent, initially was once every 3 days for first 6 days and then it became everyday.
In conclusion, it’s still an excellent place to stay because of strategic location but do manage your expectations when it’s comes to the upkeep of the rooms, the hotel lifts and level of services. By the way, when I was there, the hotel lobby was undergoing renovation, so hopefully the lift situations improve.

AAnonymous UserA group of us stayed here for a couple of nights. The location is really good, especially when you're having a meeting or convention nearby.
The building and the rooms are all quite dated, but at least the rooms were acceptably clean. Bed was also alright. The building felt like a really old dormitory.
However, something that happened kind of put us off. We checked in and were taking a nap as we were tired. All of a sudden someone opened the door and two other guests came in. We were all of course shocked and apparently the front desk double booked the same room. Went to the front desk, no apologies but just an acknowledgement. At least it was resolved pretty quickly.
AAnonymous UserThis unit is over-priced. We stayed in a double unit, the two of us, which is better suited to either 2 couples or 2 adults and 2 kids which would justify the price. Upstairs is almost a carbon copy of downstairs in that both have almost full kitchens (no ovens), excellent reverse cycle air conditioning, TV's etc. Other than a very old, very off carton of milk left in the fridge the unit was exceptionally clean.
Upon arriving, we were asked to pay which we had already done when booking. Beware no refunds once booked although this didn't apply in our case. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and helpful.
Had to ask for toilet paper and purchase milk as only two small milk thimbles in fridge. Expected to wash up, dry and put away dishes and utensils before leaving and remove all garbage. We usually do this anyway but I thought it was quite an ask to be expected at those prices. It's post-Covid so I am wondering if lack of staff is the reason for this and perhaps this may change in the future.
No buffet or restaurant on site. No room service. Don't expect any meals. No foxtel as advertised. At least we couldn't get it but they did have Netflix provided. We took our chromecast with us, thank goodness!
The pool is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. Maybe 25 metres? Also, in the afternoon a lot of it is shaded. It's not heated so it's pretty chilly even in late November.
The beach is gorgeous but the room we had didn't have views and the units are in the street behind the main shops so whilst very close to the beach (a mere two minutes) it isn't overlooking the beach. Also, very tight carpark if you have a larger car.
I would recommend the family unit or double unit for 3 to 4 people. Otherwise stick to a single unit. I probably would not return unless with another couple because there are nicer places with more amenities that don't expect you to do the housework at the same or even better prices.
GGuest UserThe staff were very helpful and friendly. Walking distance to the shops and plenty of food places or the pub for a cheap meal.
Although it was being renovated it was no problem.

BBee LingVery good location. Room is very spacious and comfortable. Small tube of dish washing detergent and 2 small packets of milk were provided in the room. Very thoughtful gesture as it saves us short vacation travellers a lot of hassle of buying from supermarket and reduces wastage because we used to buy for just a few days' use and had to throw away big bottles of detergent and milk.
RRyanp10The location is really great. It's right next to YHA and right in front of Central Station. The tram is nearby.
But I stayed on Saturday and Sunday
The noise from the club downstairs was so loud
I could feel the vibration even with earplugs. The hallway and soundproofing aren't very good either.... If you're sensitive to noise, I wouldn't recommend
The location, cleanliness, and service are very good.

8852kmGood location, just 10 minutes by foot can reach the Central station. So very easy to go to the Airport. The hotel was behind a busy street, so not very noisy. It is close to the China Town light rail station & can walk to George Street within 10 minutes. Also easily to go to the Town Hall, QVB & Opera House by light rail. There are many restuarant around the hotel with many good food.
Coffee shop is plenty. The room was clean & tidy. Although I ordered a limited house keeping, the hotel still gave me a 3days house keeping!!! It is out of my expectation, Good job.
