*Great Stay for a Quick Airport Stopover*
This hotel was perfect for a short stay between flights. The room was spotless and comfortable, with everything I needed. There was some noise from the nearby airport, but they thoughtfully provided earbuds, which was a nice touch. The free airport shuttle runs every hour and made getting to and from the terminal super easy. Staff were warm, helpful, and made me feel welcome. I’d happily stay here again for another transit night!
This is my first time booking a hotel with less than 9/10 review. Never let reviews fool you.😂😂
So far the most affordable, spacious and cleaned 6 persons per room I have seen in Beijing or Shanghai. I was shocked how big the room was compared to other hotels.
A partition separated the WC from bathroom which doesn’t makes the whole place wet, it very uncommon in most hotel in China. This is a PLUS to the hotel.
All services were on point 100%. Staff was professional and friendly. Once I checked out they gave me a free bottle of tea for my next travel which was really nice of their hospitality. Free dispensary drinking water, cleaned eating area and the common area at the reception desk was big enough and cleaned.
Location is easy to find, 3 minutes to the subway station. Many Shopping markets, restaurants nearby.
I think this hotel should have 10/10 on reviews. I highly recommend this hotel for affordability, cleanliness, professionalism and hospitality.
From Pudong Airport, before 10.30pm (subway's closing time) take Line 2 subway to interchange Line 16 at Longyang - Dishui Lake and get off at Huinan station. Hotel Location is 1km walking distance or 20 minutes from Line 16 Huinan Subway Station. To get in the center area, from Huinan station Line 16 it will take total of 1 hour including a transit at Longyang station for Line 2 going to such east Nanjing road or the Bund. Staffs are really helpful, though they don't give away those free 2 bottles of drinking water in the room, they help refill clean drinking water for our empty pot or bottle at the service desk. The room is quite small with bathroom inside but price is suitable. A lot of food such Changsha Tofu you have to try and lot of tea shops or local restaurant around the hotel within 500meters and there is a 24 hours opening Family mart really close 200meters to the hotel. Hotel picture is actually the same as you will see.

It is a perfect choice to stay at this hotel if you are transferring through Pudong Airport, as it offers free shuttle services with a travel time of about 20 minutes; there is also a commercial street nearby, and there is a 24-hour breakfast chain restaurant next door, which is very convenient; the room is clean, the shower head sprays water quickly with sufficient pressure, making bath time very comfortable; the hotel staff are also friendly and courteous; the hotel is simple yet cozy, with a good environment and convenient transportation. I highly recommend this hotel to my friends who are staying near Shanghai Pudong Airport.

With free pickup and drop off services staying at this hotel is the best alternative to hanging around at the airport for 14 hours. There is an opportunity to have some sleep, shower and stretch your legs, and watch English speaking channels on TV, so the long journey to New Zealand is not so stressful. All amenities are working well. You have free bottled water, a kettle, some glasses, a USB port by bedside. Maybe just carpet flooring needs to be replaced for a new one. Staying at BOAI hotel met my expectations. The receptionist was friendly and fluent in English. I would definitely recommend this hotel to make your layover in Shanghai easier, especially during summer time when it is hot in Shanghai. Value for money is excellent! Thank you very much.Xie-Xie!!!

The staffs are friendly, polite and really helpful even they can’t speak English but tried their best to communicate with customers. The location is excellent, just 300m. from metro station and the attraction tourist points are not too far from the hotel.

I had a long stayover in Shanghai, arrived in the morning, had to leave around midnight. They let me check in early without any problems. The guy and later a girl didn't speak much english but both was very helpful and didn't mind use google translate to ask or answear any questions.Location really near to the airport, park, restaurants, markets. The room had everything what I needed,it was clean ,heater worked well, kettle, hairdryer, shower, toilet, bed, shampoo, shower gel, even toothpaste with toothbrush. Nothing really fancy, but for the price and location is really super deal. Would definitely stay there again.Thank you !

Good enough for a short stay. Stairs to climb up to get to the lift but that was fine. Check in was fast. Bathroom not as clean as I expected but acceptable. Ned is a bit hard but good enough for the price.

Stayed for 6 nights. Good location. Just a stone to 磁浮站 (8 mins from the airport), line 2, 16 & 18 mrt lines. Just next to a shopping mall which you can find great and value food. Most importantly, the hotel rate is good. We saved $60+ dollars per night as compared to hotels within 外滩。The only lacking is that there is no refrigerator. Strongly recommend for those who are not particular on breakfast, which we opt out.

The location was very good, in the city center, near the metro station. We had a room with window, this room was good (I would not recommend the no-window room!). The carpet in the hallway was really gross. There were almost zero amenities in the room. All in all good for budget travellers.

Very Good
GGuest UserSolo female traveller. Self-declaration of residence during your visit via a link the staff will share via WeChat. (For me, the submission under the Chinese UI only worked.) Free one-time clean-up of the room, no water provided so have to buy on your own. New towels and emptying of dustbins can be requested. Location is a 7-10 minute walk to Shanghai Natural History Museum Station and Nanjing West Road Station; 20 minute journey to Shanghai Railway Station via MRT if you are taking trips out of the city. On the way back from Nanjing West Station, there is a 7-Eleven at the station and a Family Mart nearby the station. There is also a mini-mart near the main entrance of the accommodation residential area. There are two lifts, but usually only one is operating, so I had to wait for the lift for sometime if I left the unit at 8.30-9am.
If you are sensitive to dust, request for a deep clean of the room. There is quite a fair bit of dust under the bed. I visited the tail-end of spring where there were a few mozzies that came by, but there is an insect-repellent diffuser in the room.
Washing machine is excellent, you may use the laundry detergent provided. Used it a couple of times, clothes are fine.
Projector works well with MangoTV free subscription. It was nice to use it. You may also verify with staff on the address of the accommodation in Chinese, which you can use for Taobao and Dianping (if no local phone number) / *******. For ride hails via DiDi, pick up point is at the main entrance, the same direction to head to if you are going to Shanghai Natural History Museum Station. You’ll see a petrol kiosk outside the main entrance.

Outstanding
SSoloTravelAnnaI had a lovely two-night stay at this hotel over the weekend! It’s super convenient, just a short walk from Changshu Road station on Line 7 and Line 1, and only about 10 minutes to Shanghai Library station on Line 10.
When I arrived at 11 PM, I found it a bit tricky to locate the entrance, but then I noticed a big lemon 🍋 outside the building—just hop in the elevator there!
The room was cozy and inviting, perfect for a good night’s sleep. It was dark and peaceful at night, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was clean and well-kept, and there was always a friendly staff member around to help out. They provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, which was a nice touch!
You can do laundry on-site, and they have hairdryers available during the day—just keep in mind they’re not out at night. Overall, it was a great experience!

YYanisThe hotel was a bit hard to find for someone who doesn't speak the language. None of the staff speaks English, but well, it's not a touristic hotel, so I guess it's understandable of course. The room was spacious, bed was hard but comfortable, there was all the basic amenities in the room. Everyday they would give you some free bottle of water and toilet paper. They would also change the bedsheets if you ask. There is a construction site at 20 meters from the hotel, but it was mentioned on the site before the booking, so, no problem there. Only downside is that everything is very old in the room and not maintained at all, windows was not shutting down properly, the curtains were so old that they were breaking down in some parts. But, for the value, it is definitely worth it. Location is great, the hotel is cheap. The cleaning lady is super nice, even tho she doesn't speak english, she still managed to help me to make the washing machine and dryer work, very nice of her !!!!
When I'll be back to Shanghai, i will definitely visit again. Great value if you don't want to spend too much, it is still a very decent place if you're not too fancy.

WWoaiyanjiuThe room is very clean. They help to clean it every day. The most important thing is that it is close to the subway station. It is convenient to go everywhere. There is also a Domino's Pizza next to it. The price is very affordable. It is really good.
Service: The service is also very good and the breakfast is delicious
MMarc SRI stayed at Denga Inn (Laoximen subway station branch) for 4 nights in a 6-bed dorm. The location is very convenient, close to the metro and easy to get around the city.
The hostel had everything I needed: I was able to wash and dry my clothes properly, which is a big plus when you’re traveling long-term. Every night they project movies (I watched “Brick” in German with Chinese subtitles) on the wall — super cool. Some movies are available with English + Chinese subtitles, which is great if you don’t speak Mandarin.
The toilets were fine, though they could be cleaned a bit more often — nothing major, just something that could be improved.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here. It’s a chill, functional place with some nice extras, and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for budget accommodation in the heart of Shanghai.
TTguvuoThis four-bedroom B&B is amazing! First of all, the environment is super beautiful, the air is very fresh, and the surrounding green plants are simply a natural oxygen bar.
The facilities are very good, and the four bedrooms are warm and comfortable, allowing a group of friends to have our own little world. Especially the chess and card room, where we played non-stop, board games, poker, etc., which completely relieved the stress. The kitchen is also very useful. You can cook by yourself and feel like you are at home. There's even a ping pong table and foosball table
The service was also great, the staff were super nice and gave us a lot of travel advice. Their enthusiasm made us feel very friendly, like old friends.
All in all, this B&B is definitely a great place for a vacation. Whether you want to relax quietly or have a blast with friends, we can satisfy you. Highly recommended, I will definitely come again next time! So satisfied!

Hhoangyen+ The service staff is friendly and will help me book the ticket. The bathroom is quite big, which is nice. It is close to the Confucian Temple.
- The room smells of smoke; there is no hook in the bathroom to hang clothes (it's a pity, otherwise there will be one in the bathroom), it is a little far from the subway station, and the sound insulation is not very good.
VVanilla1234The room was spacious and very clean. The air conditioning worked well and could be adjusted for both heating and cooling. The location is excellent—just a short walk to People’s Square, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Very convenient for getting around the city.
Note: Rooms of the same type may vary slightly in size depending on the layout.
PPimmytripGreat Location, Convenient for Exploring Nanjing Road and The Bund
The location is good. Its located right across from East Nanjing Road metro station and just a few steps from Nanjing Road itself. There are many malls and restaurants nearby, including the famous crab noodle shop, convenience stores, fruit stalls, and tea shops, so you’ll never have to worry about food options.
The hotel can be a bit hard to find at first since most signs are in Chinese, but look out for the one with orange-colored characters. The lobby is on the 3rd floor. Our room is on the 2nd floor
Note: **there’s no elevator** but the staff is happy to help with your luggage. They carried our bags both at check-in and check-out, which was a big help.
We stayed in a family room for 4 people with two large beds. The room was fairly clean and spacious. There’s no TV, but they provide a projector, which was a nice touch. One downside is that the windows are not very soundproof — it can get noisy from the street outside.
If you’re looking for a convenient, centrally located hotel close to major attractions like The Bund, and don’t mind skipping luxury for affordability, I think this is a great choice — especially for groups of friends traveling together
