Hotels With Spa in San Salvador, El Salvador

It was a welcoming experience. The staff were all smiles and helpful. I really appreciated the people working at the restaurant including the people in the kitchen. The waitresses were kind and attentive and sharp looking. We enjoyed our stay because of these people and they deserve all the credit for keeping us smiling.

This is just a generic hotel, but I used points. Hotel has a security guard 24-7. Front desk staff speaks good English and everyone was friendly. Location is next to a mall and so the food choices are pretty much all chain restaurants. There is a grocery store about 10 minute walk away and pharmacies within 5 minutes. Room itself was a good size and was clean. Bed was comfortable and AC was good. Television has a couple English stations. Water is provided on the first day, but not on subsequent days (this should be changed). There is a fridge in the room. There was plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Shampoo and soap provided, but no lotion or conditioner. Breakfast included coffee/tea, hot buffet items (eggs, beans, pupusas), and continental items (yogurt, fruit, cereal). Overall, this was just OK. But I was solo and wanted to be sure I was in a safe area.

I recently reviewed this hotel via another forum for which I used to book a reservation and they replied back that in the 5 years in business and thousands of customers served, they've never received a negative comment with a hatred intent - nothing can be further from the truth as ownership should be focusing on areas of improvements so as to provided quality service to keeps customers satisfied and avoid sad words. To summarize my experience, the WIFI connectivity is terrible everywhere that I could not work on my laptop so I had to use my personal cellphone data in order to connect to the internet. The hot water was another issue as it is sporadic, and sometimes there was none especially when taking a shower. The family room, which I was giving with three beds, even though I had booked a single room when I checked in, was another blunder on their end but it was not cleaned everyday, the towels were not changed daily nor were my bed sheets ever changed during my three day stay. Breakfast is small in quantity and options are limited to what you can eat. Not sure if ownership thinks this is acceptable but running an establishment to accommodate people under these conditions, based on my experience, lacks even the basic standards of any hotel. I stayed at another hotel afterwards and more than made up for these inconveniences as this place which lacks decent amenities and ownership behavior is a total joke, even more so after responding to my review elsewhere but this is the type of behavior you would get to expect when deciding to stay here.

I have been hosted in this hotel twice. It is a very cozy place. The attention is magnificent. The food is very good and even they offered breakfast to take because my bus was leaving early. They also allowed me to check out late when my bus went out at 3PM. 100% recommended!

My family and I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in San Salvador, El Salvador. The reception at the hotel by every employee was second to none. They made us feel at home immediately. From the employees at the front desk to the cooks, maids and all other employees, they were all extremely helpful, friendly and courteous. This hotel is next to an outdoor mall called La Gran Villa. Lots of restaurants and department stores (outdoor and indoor stores). This is a very safe area to walk around. Lots of security, and friendly people. We did not see any criminal element in the area. This was our first time in El Salvador and the experience was great. The Marriott is centrally located to many of the activities and landmarks in the country. I can’t emphasize how safe this area (La Gran Villa) is and how much fun it is to just hang out and enjoy a beer or some coffee at one of the many shops/restaurants.

The hotel is very well located, is located in a prestigious area, there are nearby shops, 24-hour staff very attentive, good facilities that could improve, a great breakfast and a luxurious swimming pool.

My wife and I spent five nights at the Windsor Plaza Hotel, and it was an outstanding experience. For around $350, the value was incredible. The check-in process was swift, and the staff were quick to help us settle into our room. Our room featured a comfortable single bed and was immaculately clean. We enjoyed the fantastic pool, amazing breakfast, and consistently good service. The hotel’s location was perfect, with plenty of dining options, nightlife, and pharmacies nearby. We felt very secure thanks to the attentive security team. Windsor Plaza Hotel offered superb comfort, convenience, and excellent value. Highly recommended!

InterContinental San Salvador - Metrocentro Mall My husband and I stayed here November 2021 for our anniversary. The hotel is in a perfect location with direct access to the Metrocentro Mall and many other things to do in this amazing city. The staff and front desk were extremely courteous and helpful. The hotel was extremely clean and very equipped with social distancing signage and hand sanitizer stations throughout the hotel. Room: My husband and I are InterContinental Ambassadors, so we received a guaranteed upgrade. The room itself had a wonderful view of the city and the Metrocentro Mall. It still remained super quiet in spite of the close proximity to the shopping centers. The room was clean, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was very modern, and the shower/tub had great water pressure. My only complaint was that the water temperature often varied from lukewarm to hot depending on the time of day. Onsite Dinning: The onsite restaurants were okay for last minute dinning, but nothing was memorable considering the price. During our stay, we dined at the Faisca do Brasil and Picasso. The other restaurant Nau lounge was closed during our stay. Again, if you are looking for better fine-dining options, try Brutto El Salvador, La Gastroteca, or La Melangerie. In addition, do not be afraid to dine at some of the delicious local restaurants in the city center. Pool/Gym/Spa: The pool and gym were both small but workable and the spa services were magnificent and really great for the value. My masseuse was magnificent, and the spa treatments were PERFECT! Just make sure you book your treatments upon arrival because spa slots fill up quickly. Overall, the hotel made our stay in San Salvador extremely comfortable. I do believe that while some improvements to the dining options can be made, the hotel overall is quite solid and the hotel’s location cannot be beat. This is a great hotel located in a very nice location right next to a couple of the major shopping malls in San Salvador. The area is super safe, and the hotel itself has security. The rooms are comfortable and super clean. The staff are super nice as well. I will recommend to anyone visiting San Salvador.

My family (1 year old, 3 year old, 21 year old, and husband) & I recently stayed for a week and the experience was amazing. Here are some key details I want to share. The breakfast is authentic, healthy, and prepared by a chief. Breakfast came with fresh squeezed orange juice and freshly made cashew milk. This isn’t something you would find in America. The hotel has security that watches over your cars (we rented one). The security will also walk out into the road and stop traffic without us having to ask him. The cleaning ladies are amazing! We had a ton of wet clothes (from the lake & beach) that needed to be dried before packing. The cleaning lady hung our clothes out to dry and rotated them while we were out exploring. We told her we needed some hangers so that WE could do it. She was so kind enough to do it for us! My son threw one of his metal Paw Patrol cars into the tiny pond they have. For those of you who don’t know. The special edition Paw Patrol true metal cars can only be bought in a pack (we paid $45). It was a bummer but we obviously explained that the pond was deep and we couldn't get it out. Our son asked us if we would try, so we went and bought a pole to try and get it out (we try to teach our kids to try and problem solve. The car obviously was worth it to my son). The staff told us not to worry that they would try. The pond was like 6ft deep…but after 3-4 days they got it out!!! We were so grateful!! The hotel overall was so clean! The garden outside has tables that you can eat breakfast or lunch at. It is so beautiful. Makes it feel like you are eating in the middle of a mountain. They have a small market inside and a juice/ smoothie bar. The juice/smoothie bar was so amazing. All local & fresh products! After a long day of exploring, coming back and being able to order a smoothie was so refreshing. The TV is equipped with youtube and netflix for younger children. It is close to a lot of great eating spots. If you are looking for a place that gives you “El Salvador” this is the place to stay at. Your kids will have a blast exploring their garden area while you eat. It also makes a good location for cool pictures.
