We had a great stay at the Crown Spa Hotel. All the staff were super friendly, nothing was to much trouble. The rooms were clean and fresh, we had a sea view. Meals in the Restaurant were very good value and excellent quality.
We had treatments in the Spa, the Girls were super friendly, welcoming and chatty.
We will certainly be returning.

Anonymous UserA solid 3 star experience but not more than that. They say they offer bike courier pick up for your luggage from the train station, but I didn't get sent any information about how to book it, every time I tried to call I couldn't get through to a human, and when I eventually found an email address to contact about it, no one replied. We were put in a room on the very top floor right after the heat wave, the temperature up there was still so warm, could feel it going up in as we ascended the stairs, but I couldn't open the window in the room very much without bugs flying in. They provided a small fan but it didn't do much. Our room was cramped, not really anywhere to store your luggage and the bathroom's only surface space to put your things was a ledge above the toilet which I didn't like. On the other hand, all the people we spoke to at reception were friendly and helpful, the location was convenient and the pantry was appreciated.

Located within a golf course, the hotel boasts a tranquil, peaceful, and comfortable environment with beautiful scenery. However, it's quite far from the city center, about a 30-minute drive from York's Old Town. If you're not traveling by car, it's not the best choice for accommodation. But if you have a car, it's an excellent option as parking is free.
The hotel has two restaurants with good food, but they are very expensive and the portions are small – typical fine dining. If you don't want to spend too much on food, it's best to eat in the city before entering the hotel.

I've stayed at this hotel before and I will definitely be staying again. The location is ideal for me with easy access to the city centre either by walking, bus, or taxi. The rooms have always been very clean and a good size too. The buffet style breakfast is always superb and leisure facilities give you a chance to unwind in the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room.
The staff have always been pleasant, friendly, and polite.
5 stars from me!

Guest UserHaving visited previously we were very much looking forward to spending 2 nights at The Feversham Arms. We were disappointed to see how tired the venue looked on the outside the sun was shining and we looked forward to spending the afternoon having lunch by the pool and Soaking up the sun.
The service was below par and the food was average despite being quite heavily priced. There wasn’t enough seats to accommodate the guests who all obviously wanted to do the same thing. The pool area had uplifted flags with weeds growing and the pool is in desperate need of repair. Having visited previously and been treated with kind and courteous staff I was disheartened by the attitude of some of the service staff, especially in the spa area and the alfresco dining area.

I looked up York Hotel on Ctrip and accidentally stayed in this treasure hotel. From the appearance of the entire hotel, the lobby, the corridor, to the room, everything is impeccable. The breakfast is also great. You can choose from a variety of types such as full English breakfast, which is cooked to order. I really love it. I am willing to come to York again for this hotel.

Guest UserI booked this as a surprise for my partners birthday and he was definately surprised. We were upgraded on arrival to a Junior Suite from our executive room which was simply amazing. We were greeted with a bottle of champagne in our room and some other complimentary goodies which was also very lovely.
We ate in the Orchard Restaurant and again he was welcomed by the Restaurant Manager and given a Birthday Card. The food was delicious and the atmosphere with the live band playing was perfect.
A really lovely stay and would look forward to going again.

When I checked in, there was still some feces in the restroom that hadn't been cleaned up. The soundproofing was very poor. I could hear footsteps and talking from upstairs and next door. The front desk service was lukewarm. Apart from the good location, there was nothing else. I would not choose this place again and do not recommend it.
