Bahrain Airport Hotel Airside Hotel for Transiting and Departing Passengers Only

The hotel was extremely clean and modern, definitely worth it, however the service is non existent. I am from the UK and booked this hotel for a transiting flight, on the hotel website I was able to book the exact times I required the room (hour by hour) and on trip.com It was the standard check-in 2pm and exit 12pm the next day which does not work. After booking I emailed the hotel twice with no response to date and it’s been 3 weeks. When arriving at the hotel I had to wait 5 hours before I could have access to my room and I only stayed until my flight departure time which was a total of 10 hours out of the 22 hours which the room was booked for. In this case, not value for money. The service needs to improve, either have an instant chat or respond to email in a timely manner. There is a premium number which I did not ring since it would have cost a fortune!

Big Thanks to Jerryl, it was truly an exceptional experience in the Spa. The ambiance was calming, and every detail seemed thoughtfully designed to create a serene environment. Great room, all is clean and maintained. Complete necessities and complete appliances to use while you stay. You can cook your own food as they have kitchen and fridge available in the room. They attend to our needs right away whenever we call them. Bed is great.

Very mixed opinion of this hotel . I generally don’t post negative comments preferring to give the hotel a chance to put things right if there are any issues but I think this hotel needs to decide what it wants to be . We booked all inclusive as a late winter sun get away ( price very comparable to the same package in the Caribbean ) . In some ways thank goodness for the all inclusive the food and drinks are staggering expensive if you pay as you go . On the positive side the staff are really friendly and try really hard with the service . The hotel is clean and well equipped , outdoor pool is heated and the beach area is lovely . On the negative - you can only use the buffet restaurant for your meals - we accepted that as it is becoming more the norm with all inclusive and the food is really good quality but apart from that the policy is bizarre to say the least . Drinks ( very limited choice which you only get to know about when you try to order something ) is only available from 11am till 7pm at the beach bar and pool bar , then in the buffet restaurant . After that you can’t get an all inclusive drink not even a cup of coffee . We’re not big drinkers only had a couple of alcoholic drinks with dinner but you can’t even get a soft drink except water until the outdoor bars open at 11am . Just tried to get a bottle of water and a Pepsi at 10.43. - only water available till 11!!I find that really wierd and doesn’t really make you feel like a valued guest . Security check your bags to make sure you are not taking your own drinks onto the beach - one guy actually had a can of Pepsi confiscated. I
Majestic Arjaan by Rotana

I had the pleasure of staying at the Majestic Arjaan for 4 nights this week. I was hugely impressed by the friendliness of staff and their willingness to assist with any query. I was particularly amazed at their ability to remember my name, even when they met me in the foyer. Upon arrival, my room was upgraded and I was given a two room apartment, overlooking the nice pool area. The hotel was very quiet and this was welcome, as I was on a business trip. The apartment was clean, comfortable and had ample space and facilities for me. Breakfast was in the form of a buffet but there was a wide choice of cuisines from Asia, Middle East and Europe. I was able to order an omelette each morning, made according to my preferences. The lovely lady who oversaw the restaurant deserves to be mentioned, as she was excellent; so too were the desk staff in the foyer. I understand that the hotel becomes quite busy over the weekend and is popular with families. Based on my experience, I would recommend this hotel to travellers in Manama.
