The hotel is very close to Kintetsu Xiandao Station. The room is quite big. Although the facilities are a bit old, they are not hindered by use. The hotel staff is also responsible. The room has a large balcony and you can see the beautiful sea view. However, this place in Xiandao is quite remote. It is a good choice for people who don’t like many tourists. There are few restaurants around. If the check-in time is late, you can’t find a place to eat. The only convenience store at the station is also open until 18:00.
This time we stayed here on a family trip. Because it was New Year's, the hotel was full and there was no place to park our car, so we parked in the parking lot where the staff also parked. The staff were very helpful. We stayed in a villa, which had a high ceiling, a great view, and was very spacious. One thing that was disappointing was that the breakfast was not very tasty or plentiful considering the price. Unlike a buffet, there was a limit to the number of people, so we had to wait in our room for about 30 minutes in the morning, so if you are in a hurry to leave in the morning, it would be better to give yourself plenty of time to go and eat breakfast. Although the breakfast was disappointing, the other services were very good.
I stayed here in February 2025 for a pilgrimage to Ise Shrine.
The red bridge and the landscape can be seen beautifully from the elevator hall on the upper floors of the hotel, making it a great location.
Even though the hotel was renovated, it still had the same lively feel.
The lounge is open all day and doesn't close at certain times, which is nice.
The hot spring had a lot of water and was very comfortable.
Perhaps it was for busy times, but the old-looking tables in front of the restaurant felt different.
As for dinner and breakfast, the number of dishes was smaller than other Mercure hotels, perhaps due to the size of the restaurant, and some of the things I was looking forward to were missing, which was disappointing.
The Matsusaka beef stew for dinner was disappointing, as I wanted to ask when the croissant was baked in the morning, but I gave up after one bite.
It seems that there are many tourist buses, so I felt that the bath depends on the timing.
The hotel is in a tourist area, so it's more of a one-time experience than a repeat visitor.
The hotel staff are very considerate. From arriving at the hotel to checking in, there are staff taking care of the whole process. Luggage is delivered directly to the room. But this hotel is located on a mountain, so you need to take the hotel shuttle bus, so you need to plan your departure and return in advance. The room is comfortable and has a sea view.
- The hotel is next to Tsu Station. There is a bus station in front of the school. and taxis are available
- Staff at the front desk provide good service. and speak English quite fluently
- Breakfast is a set Japanese meal with a buffet line, good value, but the instructions for eating are all in Japanese. There should be English and pictures as well.
- In the booking that the reservation includes dinner Dinner is served at Miyabi Restaurant on the 2nd floor of the hotel. You must make a reservation with the front desk at check-in. It's a Japanese food set. The quantity is right, the taste is good, it's worth it, but the way to eat is all in Japanese as well.
- The room is Ocean view.
The spring quality is great! ** Smooth and beautiful skin soup, your skin will be moisturized after soaking, and you don’t even need to use skin care products!
Amazing cuisine! ** The banquet dinner is exquisitely presented, the A5 wagyu beef melts in your mouth, and the breakfast seafood bowl is super fresh!
Excellent service! ** Butler-style service, even helping you put on your yukata, and kneeling to welcome you, you will be flattered!
Bed heaven! ** Tatami + Western-style soft bed dual choice, the down quilt is so light and warm that you don’t want to get up!
Toba seaside hotel stay review (03/10/2025 – 03/13/2025)
Toba Seaside Hotel
Over-all feeling: Satisfied
a. The hotel shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes (hotel and toba (Toba Station), which is very convenient.
Every day at 9:07am, there is a bus from the hotel to Ise Jingu (Geigu, Naigu) & Ise City Station. You don't have to transfer at Toba Station, which saves a lot of time.
b. (03/10/2025 – 03/13/2025) Stay at NOZOMI (Wangguan), the whole building has been renovated
Clean, comfortable.
c. Three buildings have three large bathing areas, where you can enjoy a relaxing and pleasant bath.
d. Breakfast buffet, because I am a vegetarian, I think the menu is just average.
e Toba Bay is a beautiful harbor, where you can sit quietly in front of the window in the evening. Watch. Seabirds flying. The boats are sparkling, and I think of the lines from ”The Preface to the Red Cliff” (”The breeze blows gently, and the water is calm”)... I can't help but feel relaxed and happy.
The following are also suggestions:
1. The restaurant only has Japanese dish names. Suggestion: add English. What's funny is that the COFFEE MACHINE is also only in Japanese, which makes people feel at a loss.
2. The shuttle bus sign is only in Japanese.
3. You cannot pay the bill before 7:00 am. I have been traveling to Japan for many years and this is the first time I have encountered such a situation. It seems like a strange management method.
I use it every year!
The rice was very delicious, and when I told him that I was allergic and couldn't eat shrimp and squid this time, he changed it to another dish.
The customer service was very pleasant.
Thank you again next year.
There is free parking in the hotel, very convenient! Unexpectedly, they also gave me a free night coupon, can be exchanged for a bowl of pasta, can be eaten before the hot spring! Beautiful sea view, close to the Bird's Aquarium and Pearl Island! Save a lot of traffic time!
