The pool is beautiful, makes you feel like you are in a tropical paradise. The hotel is a little unloved/dated but the rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. Aside from a Lotus shopping mall across the road and a bigger Central Plaza Mall five mins drive away there isn’t really much else around but as we were only here for one night before a transfer to Khao Sok it was fine and at £17 a night couldn’t really complain. Found an amazing restaurant a couple of minutes walk away and sat outside and had ‘hot pot’ with some local residents. The breakfast was the only downside, the food was left uncovered so it was cold and had flies around it.

not bad! It’s quick to take a taxi to the airport in transit! There is not much to eat at the Wanlun night market, so I recommend not going there. There are also high prices for tuk-tuks. Locals charge 20 baht per person. Don't give it to the cub!

My wife and I chanced upon Silavadee while looking for a short Koh Samui getaway to celebrate our anniversary - and so glad we found Silavadee. The Google reviews did not disappoint, as it’s possibly one of the best resorts we’ve stay in yet! We travel to a couple of resorts around the SEA during our weekend getaways but this past weekend topped the charts for us. From our arrival all the way to our departure, Silavadee’s team members never failed to display the widest smiles everyday; even if sometimes they did not understand much English - we appreciated their big wide smiles! Special mention to the Duty Manager, TICK as well as front office staff ICE and KORN, who both made sure we were extremely were taken care of throughout our stay and whenever we had any queries. We had a small hiccup with the housekeeping team during our stay, but TICK managed it extremely well and also so kindly got us a late check out as our flight is only departing at 19:25hrs today, back to Singapore. Your private beach team member, JB is also worth a special mention - his command of English is commendable, and we enjoyed our time interacting with him during our stay. A very positive guy whom we noticed was also picking up trash on his own initiative to ensure our private beach was as immaculate as it could be! All in all an amazing stay over the past 4 days at Silavadee! Please pass our kind thanks to the team at Silavadee and we’ll definitely be back soon! Room 209

GGuest UserOverall is this hotel a quite good point to escape. We had a fantastic garden villa with an huge bathroom. Everyone was really kind and friendly. The only thing what they can work on it we would say it should be first of all the service for drinks and food. Normally you should have a eye for your guests probably if you have a happy hour to going around at the pool desk and the location, to offer the promotion. Second they have to make better drinks maybe a cocktail staff training should help. And last but at least they have definitely to work on the service in the waiting time in the restaurant we had to wait more than 1 1/2 hour for Thai food what’s probably is ready in 10 minutes. Don’t get us wrong it’s gonna be a beautiful hotel and you will have a beautiful stay at Koh Samui. It just missing few details to make it perfect.

GGuest UserPros: Location: Dara Samui Beach Resort boasts an enviable position right in the heart of Koh Samui. Its proximity to various restaurants, shops, and local attractions makes it an ideal base for exploring the area. Being able to walk everywhere is a huge plus and adds an element of relaxation to the vacation experience. Staff: One of the standout features of the resort is its staff. They are not only efficient, ensuring everything runs smoothly, but also genuinely friendly and welcoming, always greeting guests with a smile. This level of service greatly enhances the overall stay. Room Views: Opting for a room on the third floor is highly recommended as it offers scenic views. While the first and second floors might lack these views, the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms remain commendable. Bed and pillows were awesome!! Pool Area: The infinity pool is a highlight, providing a luxurious and serene environment to relax, swim, or simply enjoy the sun. This well-maintained area is made even more enjoyable by the fun and friendly pool and bar staff. One memorable highlight was when staff made popsicles by hand for the guests, adding a delightful touch to the day’s activities. Breakfast: The buffet breakfast at the resort is exceptional. With a wide variety of choices, both in terms of dishes and flavors, every morning feels like a new culinary adventure. The quality and taste of the food meet high standards, ensuring a delightful start to the day. Cons: Noise Levels: A significant downside to staying at Dara Samui Beach Resort, especially noted on Chaweng Beach, is the noise pollution from nearby clubs. Guests looking for a peaceful night's sleep might find the loud music, particularly the repetitive beats and booming sounds from 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM, to be a major disturbance. This could be a dealbreaker for light sleepers or those seeking a restful retreat. Beach and Swimming Conditions: While the beach itself is beautiful and great for daytime relaxation, the water level often remains below one meter, making it impossible to swim in the ocean. This shallow water issue is prevalent across most of Chaweng Beach and might disappoint those looking forward to ocean swimming. Conclusion: Dara Samui Beach Resort offers a fantastic adult-only experience with its excellent location, superb staff, and top-notch facilities. However, potential guests should be aware of the early morning noise and the less-than-ideal swimming conditions in the ocean. If you are a night owl or can sleep through noise, and don't mind shallow beachfront waters, these issues might not be as impactful. Otherwise, consider requesting a room as far from the noise source as possible or look into noise-canceling solutions and plan for alternative ocen swimming options like a day at Silver Cove. Despite these setbacks, the resort's positives significantly outweigh its negatives, making it a worthy consideration for your stay in Koh Samui. Also exceptional value for the money.

GGuest UserStayed at Chaweng Garden Beach Resort in July for 7 days in a Standard Triple Room in room 125. Although the resort is an older one, as a budget level hotel it has satisfied most of our expectations. The room was large enough, with the building close to ”Sue's Restaurant” and to the main pool and to the beach. Room and bathroom were clean. As we asked for additional pillows in the room, we were provided. The buildings, villas were surrounded by lush garden, including the restaurant and beachfront, assuring comfortable shadow for those searching for it. The main pool has a comfortable depth, comfortable for swimming/playing, it's water was clean, although we preferred to swim in the sea. Did NOT encounter any jellyfish in the sea during our stay, so do not be afraid from this point of view! Beach towels are provided near the pool. Breakfast was basically good, although I would suggest to the management to provide beside a single(same) type of ham also some variety of salami. The same would be the case also for cheese, to provide 2-3 types, not only a single one type every day. I guess this would be much appreciated by the westerners who make up the majority of the guests. Initially we were afraid from load music until late night from the neighboring Ark Bar Beach Club, but our fear was groundless, the lush vegetation absorbed most of the sound, it was barely noticeable. It was touching seeing how the much respected owner of the resort, Miss Sue, was visiting one or two times every day the area near the restaurant and the beach while greeting ”old” returning guests and entering with them is short conversions. All in one, I appreciate that Chaweng Garden Beach Resort offers an excellent value for money ratio, and I would definitely return the next time to the same place, hopefully next year! Amazing
ZZ&HMy wife and I chose this hotel to celebrate our anniversary, and looking back, I’m so glad we did. The free and varied water activities, the friendly and patient staff (almost all of whom speak excellent English), and the simple yet delicious food left a lasting impression on me. From start to finish, there was hardly anything to be dissatisfied with. We stayed for two nights in different types of rooms. On the second night, we stayed in a pool villa. The initial room we were assigned didn't have the view we saw in the website photos, so my wife asked if we could switch rooms. To our surprise, the staff checked briefly and then upgraded us for free to a room with the best sea view we’ve ever seen. I can hardly describe how beautiful the view was with my limited vocabulary. My wife and I both agreed that we will definitely come back, maybe for a week or even a month next time. If you want to quietly enjoy the beach, sea view, and a private pool, choosing this place will not disappoint you. By the way, I really liked the welcome drink at the beginning and the scented sachet they gave us when we left. The coconut-flavored snacks in the lobby were also very delicious; I would grab one almost every time I passed by.

VViktorLocation: you need to immediately understand that you will need transport. There are a couple of cafes within walking distance, but we didn’t go to them, there weren’t many people there either, except that a couple of times we saw a few farangs having breakfast. Report offers delivery to and from the beach during certain hours. I don’t remember the price: either free, or for a symbolic fee, very low. They also offered to order breakfast and have it delivered to your villa: it’s certainly more expensive than in a regular cafe, but still affordable. We did not use this service, since we would have to plan breakfast time in advance (why?). The beach... we stayed during the daytime low tides, so I can’t say anything good about the sea, but the beach itself is clean and almost deserted. Surprises: we booked a villa with three bedrooms and a living room + a swimming pool. When looking at the photos of the rooms (at the time of booking), I could not understand the location of the room and also could not understand the privacy of the pool. Will the pool be ours alone or will it have to be shared with guests from some other villa. I even looked around on Google Maps, but still didn’t fully understand it. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised that this very villa consists of two separate houses between which there is a swimming pool (not small, but medium in size). One house consists of two bedrooms with separate entrances and separate bathrooms, and the other house consists of a huge living room, dining room, kitchen and bedroom + 2 bathrooms. Grandiose! Another patio. Of the minuses: not very stable wi-fi, TV is brooding. That's all. Air conditioners also do not cool as quickly as we would like, but this is the fault of the building design. A huge area of glazing which is made of single wood. If in the future we install normal aluminum structures with double-glazed windows, it will be possible to achieve a better effect from air conditioners + save on electricity and improve sound insulation. However, air conditioners do their job quite well. It was almost always quiet. Overall everything is ok. This place is worth the money. The owner, Lana, is very friendly and speaks perfect Russian.

HHelen UKExcellent location, quiet rooms with comfortable bed and good aircon. When the sea is calm, it is so relaxing on the beach. Bean bags great for day & evening chilling. Excellent staff. Pizza fab day or night. Happy hour G&T was a welcome offering. Varied music around the pool gave a good happy vibe without being over the top. Loved you could walk into the sea on soft sand. Mall/ bars/restaurants on doorstep.. short walk outside Resort entrance. Close to airport so some air noise when flights arrive/depart. Did not notice after 1st day. Tip. Mozi plug-in is a must in all of Asia. Friendly beach vendors. All ages hotel.
