Got a Groupon deal at only £79 for a double en-suite with breakfast and a bottle of Prosecco. The reception staff were very helpful and even got a free upgrade with a nicer room including soft drinks and 2 Kit Kats with great views overlooking the canal and late check out too. We parked nearby at Leeds dock about 10 minutes walk away as we have done before at a reduced rate of £8 for 24 hours. Nice modern hotel in a great location with free quick wifi and close to Leeds city centre with a couple of bars on the doorstep.

We booked a twin accessible room using IHG points. When we checked in we were told it is not available - its been allocated to someone else. It was a very fraught check in - husband wanted to punch someone & I was on the verge of tears. Why do they think we booked an accessible room - for fun???? I NEED an accessible room because I am disabled. We were also 2.5 hours from home. To give him his due Jay on reception asked us to wait while he checked things out. He offered us a drink from the bar but as hubby thought we might have to drive home he refused. We also had plans with son to go out to eat that evening. Eventually Jay said he had a double accessible room which we gratefully accepted. The window in the room, was in full sun, did not even open a crack which on a day where temps had reached 34 degrees was not ideal. We rang reception and they said they would get us a fan, which then had an electrical fault and only worked if you wiggled the wire - not ideal and pretty dangerous in my opinion. The ‘included breakfast” was a joke as we were told there was nothing hot but a continental breakfast. As a T1 diabetic who counts carbs croissants, muffins, cereal is not ideal so it was just banana for me. As the hotel was full it was also very busy and no tables available - took my banana and bailed out. Car park was close by & a reasonable price. There were a couple of restaurants close by. Aircon in the bar was lovely and the complimentary glass of wine was very good. It was quiet during the night and the accessible bathroom was great. I still can’t believe that they allow you to book an accessible room then give it to other customers.

The hotel is located on a motorway services which is handy as it has a food court next door with lots of different food options. It is just under 4 miles from the centre of Leeds; about 10-15 minutes by car. The look of the hotel is modern with a nice feel to it. They have a restaurant on site (which we didn't eat in) and an essentials/snack stand which is good for any forgotten bits or late night snacks. The hotel isn't very big with just 1 floor of rooms and this is accessible by lift or stairs. The room we had was a standard room and, for 1 night, it was perfect for us! There was everything you could need including a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, a safe and extra pillows. The bathroom also had hand-wash and body wash. Nice view over the rear garden/children's play area with fantastic blackout curtains! Decent TV with free view channels. Tea and coffee making facilities and loads of plug sockets including some next to the beds ...win win!! A little more attention to detail regarding cleaning as there was a fair amount of dust on the top of the mirror and some marks next to the sink in the bathroom. A great little addition would be restaurant/bar food and drink options and times in the room to look over when you arrive!

Despite a nice welcome and the Leeds city centre location of the Discovery Inn this accommodation was disappointing in almost all aspects of my stay. The Inn does not have a bar or restaurant (serves continental breakfast in the lobby only at extra cost). On the way to the room I noticed the old and stained carpets and tired paintwork, the lift had a disgusting smell during the whole stay. The room I was allocated did not have a view of the outside, it had frosted glass on both windows which did not open beyond a letterbox gap, so you had no idea if it was raining or not for example (the hotel should inform guests of this). The room and bathroom had decorative order issues in this case a massive hole in the wall and many places mildew and stains in the bathroom. The television was so small it was hard to watch though the Wi-FI was very good however do not expect air conditioning or a fan. The room benefited from one hard wooden chair in front of small impractical desk space. The compact corridor-like bathroom was very dated in terms of décor, required a good clean and the noise from the extractor fan was annoying.

The room I stayed with my friends is lovely and the staff are extremely helpful and have gone above and beyond. We could ask for any more and this will be the place we will stay in on future trips to Leeds. Thank you to staff for making the experience the best!

Stayed here 8 times this year & have booked for another 2 nights this month. Stayed on most floors & different room types. Some of the rooms are looking tired & our last 2 different stays in May the air conditioning wasn’t working in some of the rooms. Hopefully they have sorted it when we arrive in 2 weeks. Hampton Inn Leeds is one of our favourite hotels in Leeds. Great location less than 5 minute walk to Victoria Gate shopping centre, large secure parking spaces great choice of breakfast items, friendly staff.

We arrived on Saturday 1st of October around 2pm having driven up from Birmingham. We checked in ( having booked a superior room) which apparently entitled us to a free coffee, a bottle of water and a free biscuit during our stay. Upon arrival we asked if we could eat in the restaurant as we were hungry. We were told it was shut, then it was open, then it was shut, nobody seemed to actually know. We wandered in and were seated and told by someone ( who I think must have been their first day) that MAYBE we could eat. It was getting a little ridiculous by now. YES, indeed we could eat. Great. He came back to take our order having not given us a menu. Eventually someone else who seemed a little more clued up gave us scruffy photocopies of about the five dishes we could choose from, when i mentioned the menu I had seen in reception seemed a little more varied he replied in a pleasant but not even vaguely apologetic manner ” oh yes we haven't got a proper chef in so we have a very limited menu”. Hmm, right, so we ordered a pizza and some fries to share with a couple of soft drinks. In fairness we didn't have to wait too long and it was tasty enough and filled a hole. We then negotiated a long queue in reception to get the lift up to our room. EXCEPT WE COULDN'T. Because the door TO the lift would not open with the key card we had. Neither would it open for the receptionist with HER key.. she then got us another which got us through the door to the lift, lift safely deposited us on our floor, we got to our room, only to find our key wouldn't open our door. Our door to our ”superior” room. Great. Except it wasn't because now my other half had to go down back to the reception and explain this, a task not made any easier by what seemed, on first glance, to be half of Spain populating the reception area. Never mind, no matter, so now he has to run up seven flights of stairs to get back to our room because he couldn't get into the lift. Ok, right, so NOW we are into our room, which did not turn out to be in any way superior and exactly what you would expect in any budget hotel and not even as spacious. It had all the basics, just soap and shower gel in dispensers ( not very superior) it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The tv was a night mare to negotiate and one of the lights did not work. No matter, we only changed and slept in the room. All in all the visit was pretty much comedy and, while we didn't pay a fortune for it things that work ( like room keys) and people who knew what was open or shut ( like restaurants and menu details) MAY have been nice. I knew we should have done Premier Inn for less because the Jury's DEFFO in on this, and we found it guilty on several counts. Shame.

My 3rd time staying in this hotel this time in room 319 the room was good and bed was comfortable massive bathroom. Only down side to this stay was the fire alarm going off at 6am in the morning. No view from the window and the bathroom door didn't shut as it was hanging off the hinges. But I'd use the hotel again

Needs an update, the Carpets are dirty and tatty and walls have marks on. The laminate on the door in our en-suite was peeling from the bottom where the water had penetrated. Our room 207 was extremely noisy, seemed to be above the laundry, we had to keep the windows shut. The bed sheets were clean but the mattress was clearly a budget style and not very comfortable. The breakfast was tasty, with lots of choice, but they kept running out of things and we had to wait 4 minutes for bacon, black pudding and hash browns. Breakfast items that should be refilled constantly. It is a convenient stopover for one night and can’t complain about the price, I wouldn’t pay anymore though.

I want to say how wonderful my stay was at Holiday Inn. The room was fabulous. Amazing facilities. A shout out to Anthony one of the night staff who had such a welcoming smile at all hours and down to earth attitude. I booked to stay here last minute rather than getting a late train back home after meeting friends for dinner. It ended up being on the day that the Queen passed away so it's a hotel that I'll remember for a long time! - great value for money - think I paid £83 for the night including breakfast - hotel (including the room I stayed in) was very clean - room had everything I needed for a comfortable stay - amazing location (close to the train station and the city centre) Teeny tiny negative: - breakfast room service option was limited to bacon / sausage sandwiches (however I left a note on the order card cheekily asking for a chocolate croissant - which wasn't an option - and they very kindly sent one up with my veggie sausage sandwich!) As a Mum to a 10 month old, I'm usually up at 6.30am - so a chocolate croissant in bed at 9am was an absolute treat! It's the little things as they say - and definitely warrants a 5/5 review!

I decided as a treat for my nieces birthday and for her finishing her exams we would book a night away in the hilton for a relaxing/pamper night. The staff are lovely, we had a very friendly and welcoming checking in experience and they even offered us a free breakfast when I mentioned it was my nieces birthday. The room was ok, quite small and parts tired/worn down. We then headed out into the town for some food, as soon as we opened the room door we could hear the music. It was clearly a stag or something, men walking about with tops off, shouting and with music blaring. We waited for the lift as more and more people got out of the lift to join the party that was the 7th floor. The lift then opened to another group of men who then said something sexually suggestive and highly inappropriate to my 16 year old niece. I didn’t have time to approach them as the lift doors closed. We then was greeted by another intoxicated male in the lift who offered me his half drunken pint and said ‘come on get with it.’ I then decided to go to reception to complain. The staff were really helpful and tried very hard, we were told we could move rooms but by now the damage had been done - my niece suffers from anxiety and at this point she wanted to check out and go home. We tried to make the most of it and went out for food, when we arrived back we asked to be moved rooms which we did. We were on the top floor and this room was a little bigger but still parts that were very worn down (the bathroom door looked like a wolf had been scratching at it). We didn’t sleep, the air con didn’t work and it was absolutely boiling. The window only opened a crack and we had the noise outside coming through until the early hours. Every time we nodded off a door In the hallway would slam and wake is up - we almost checked out at 3am. All in all, a poor experience which was made slightly better by the staff who clearly wanted to help us. Not sure why a high class hotel such as the Hilton would accept stag/group bookings. We wanted to go swimming and explore the facilities more but the experience and the hotel clientele put us off (we didn’t feel comfortable). Not what I paid £165 for the night for, extremely frustrated and disappointed.

The location was right by merrion centre- easy access to eateries and Morrisons (a convenience store chain). Overall rooms were clean, and also had a little touch of Yorkshire details in them. The rooms had no fridge but staff was helpful to help me store my food in their common fridge. Processes were fuss free, near the Christmas market, it was a blissful stay!

Recently stay here. And with it being a Britannia my expectations weren’t high. But I’ve got to say what a great experience. James the manager went above and beyond to make our stay an enjoyable one. I went to tell him myself the next day. However when I asked a member of staff where he was she said he was unavailable as he was at their sister hotel which he also runs. What a hero!

We were due to stay at Ibis Budget Bradford this weekend for the boxing. We booked 2 rooms on the 14th July - one for 1 night and one for 2 nights. We are now on the 4th September. You would have thought the rooms would have been solidly booked at this point - especially when we received several confirmation emails from both booking.com and IBIS. We are travelling for 2 and half hours and over 100 miles one way to stay here. My friends arrived to stay on their first night (3rd September) only to be told that the bookings don't exist on their system. Unhelpful at 9pm at night upon their arrival. After a very unhelpful and rather ignorant receptionist ”attempted” to locate the booking (knowing full well that they had cancelled it to sell the room to someone else at a higher price) they told them that they would have to seek other accomodation and popped them up at their ”sister site” however it was much higher in price which was paid for by my friends as opposed to the Ibis for their error. We are due to travel up this evening to watch the boxing with our friends and are absolutely FURIOUS at how we have all been treated. I contacted the hotel this morning only to speak with the most arrogant, vacuous rude man who just told me that it's not them and that I either call booking.com or contact the manager on Monday with no apology or anything. We have no option now but to travel back the 100 miles after the boxing or fork out for a £600+ room. I definitely would not book here again, they are happy to take your money and throw you out at the first instance of making an extra buck or two from someone else - and from the other reviews on here it looks like nobody else pulls their weight at the premises either. Lets just hope that people read through these reviews and don't want to take the risks like we did. IBIS BUDGET BRADFORD, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES.

The hotel offers great value for money. It is located just off the m606 motorway and offers direct access to Bradford or Leeds with M62 to Manchester also available in minutes. There is a fairly large car park and I found a decent space for each night of a long stay. As others mentioned the rooms are quite large for a budget hotel and I found mine to be pristine each time (cleaning standard is very good). There was very little road noise considering it’s location close to the motorway. Everything else functioned well and always had a good nights sleep. The security is good as you need room key card to access the part of the building with the rooms. I did not have breakfast so cannot comment but there is a large area to sit so will never have queues. The bar area was sizeable too and seemed to be well staffed. Staff were excellent throughout , from a fast checkin to being helpful when needed. Unrelated to the hotel but there is an Amazon locker situated outside as well as another brand whose name I cannot recall.

On arrival, we thought the exterior of the building was lovely, but it did not continue inside. At reception, when we checked in, we asked to book a table for dinner. The receptionist said that we would not need to book and could eat at any time before 10.30 pm. The lift was out of order, so we had to carry out luggage up 2 flights of stairs whilst looking for our room. The corridors were tatty, the bannisters were wobbly, and when we got to the room, it smelt of cigarettes. We had booked a double and were given a family room. The beds were comfortable, and the linen was clean. However, the bathroom was tatty with marks in the bath and sink. The light above the vanity areawas absolutely fithy, and the toilet brush needed to be condemned as it was disgusting. When we went to the bar, we were ignored and had to wait to be served even though no one else was waiting. We were told the restaurant was full and that we could eat in the bar area, however, the food would be at least half an hour as they were busy. We were given a menu, but after waiting about 15 minutes for our order to be taken, we left and ate at a local pub. This hotel is in a lovely location but it is obvious that it is not run efficiently and the staff need training. We will not be returning.

All of the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly during my stay which added to the experience. The hotel is truly lovely and the setting is beautiful. The rooms are well appointed and the views from the rooms and bar were amazing but it’s the high level of customer service that makes me want to return and recommend this hotel as a place to stay in Wakefield.

Excellent hotel the staff were helpful and attentive. Very clean room with air conditioning which was needed as it was a very hot day, with tea making facilities and even biscuits as a kind gesture. Would recommend staying here and will no doubt book in again. Bar had a range of beers and a good selection of draughts as well as spirits available to choose from. There was ample parking round the back of the hotel. Just don't forget to put your vehicle registration at check in. All in all a good stay.
