The hotel is linked to a mall. The mall is quite empty with only a few shops and eateries open. There are a few coffeeshops nearby for breakfast or lunch but they close around 2.30pm. Convenience shop 7-11 is within walking distance. The room we had is spacious with a balcony and beautiful river view. There is a corner in the room near to toilet that gives off a mouldy smell. Our sleep was interrupted in the very early morning with singing from a nearby mosque. Can't be helped as this is part of their morning ritual.

Good location as always. Closed to Jonker Street and other tourist area. Close to mahtoka if you want to do shopping. No bathtub. Has high floor. Can view sunset at top floor if the sky is clear. Gym closes at 830pm though, not 24h, and is not linked with sheltered walkway to the hotel lift. Pool close at 730pm

The hotel apartment is near to shopping mall and tourist attraction. It will be great if there is futon as sometimes it is not convenient for two to be slept in one room.

Beautiful staycation. Have been wanted to try this classic and the oldest hotel in Malacca for so long and my husband decided to stay here for me and my son’s birthday this year. Very good location literally 5 minutes away from all the attractions, 5 minutes to Jonker Walk & museums. The services also very impressive. They provided small yummy chocolate cake and deco for our birthdays inside the room. My husband also got assisted with his wheelchair as he was just one week post op. Breakfast were ala carte style but you can have unlimited orders. Malacca curry noodles was yummy! Swim pool also simple but super nice my kids love it. The room deco was classic and everything was perfect! Had a great staycation here and even recommended it to our family members. Thank you Majestic Malacca for our beautiful family staycation 😊

Hotel is ok but doesn’t feel that it is a 4star hotel. Room is ok but aircond is so so and not that cold. Toilet is ok and clean. Overall is ok and acceptable but for the price of RM450 per night is a bit on the high side considering the location is far from Jonker Street. Buffet breakfast was great actually, many choices.

We stayed for 5 nights at the Pines. We booked the Junior Suite and the room was sizable, clean and nice. Bed was comfortable and the aircon is good. Travelling around was easy from the hotel via Grab. However, I have the following feedback regarding the hotel:- a) The hotel restaurant did not serve dinner and on rainy days, it is very inconvenient for the hotel guests to travel out to have dinner. b) We asked for umbrellas so we could go out for dinner but the hotel reception told us that they have only one umbrella and that it is spoilt. A little disappointed that the 4-star hotel did not even have functional umbrellas that the guest could borrow. c) There was no lounge deck chairs at the pool area which is not quite what I expected. d) The gym was stuffy and smelly as the aircon was not on even during operating hours. e) The WiFi was unreliable and sometimes there is no connectivity at all. Hopefully, the hotel can improve on the above.

Security not safe, can access room from basement carpark. Toilet partition falling off, changed to another room slightly better but still falling off, is so dangerous (photo attached). Service : Maintenance department Indian boy is very polite and helpful, cafe staff is also very friendly and approachable. However, lobby receptionist Indian lady should be trained to be more polite and more welcoming attitude to guest.

Staying there for 2 nights for medical check-up at Mahkota Hospital. To Mahkota is around 10-15 minutes walking. Or you could have Grab for 5 minutes. The hotel just close enough with restaurants, and others. Breakfast is fair enough with the budget. And the taste quite good.

Spent 3D2N here in Malacca - holy place, friendly people, delicious food. Stayed in The Sterling helped my trip more fruitful in many ways: Pros: - private enclosed open car park, no worries for safety, only hot sun. - perfect location allowed us to walk to popular places such as St Peter’s Church, St Paul’s Hill, Christ Church, Jonker Street, etc. - service is simple but sufficient, no excessive wastage of any sort. - Water dispenser at lobby and corridors outside rooms. - basic amenities, bring own shower gels and shampoo, etc. Cons: - soundproof is average, but didn’t bother me at all. Thank you

LLimKeithPleasant Stay at Baba Hotel Malacca (Level 2 Room) This wasn’t my first time staying at Baba Hotel Malacca, and overall, it was another pleasant experience. We were assigned a room on Level 2. The room size was decent for two people, with a comfortable bed that provided a good night’s rest. There was no weird smell in the room, and the towels were fresh and pleasantly fragrant, which I really appreciated. The bathroom had strong water pressure and no drainage issues, which is often overlooked but makes a difference. However, the basin water flow was a bit slow, and I feel the bathroom could benefit from a proper ventilation fan. Also, cleanliness between the tiles could be improved for a better overall feel. One noticeable improvement during this visit was the internet speed, which was better than before—perhaps due to a different room location within the hotel. That said, noise insulation could still be improved, as sounds from the corridor or neighboring rooms were occasionally audible. A special mention to the FOM/DM, who was very friendly and attentive—really made us feel welcome. The same goes for the other staff members, who were equally warm and helpful throughout our stay. All in all, it’s a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Malacca, and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

GGuest UserRoom wc got dry faeces. Table have stain marks, bathrooms glass door cannot close properly, there is a gap, room 3038 main wooden door cannot open or was jammed for a minute when house keeping came at night to send my drinks and snacks for fridge. I have reserve a table for dinner at 6pm on 18/7 and was not informed that coffee house open at 6.30.despite checking again the day on 19/7. End up I missed entering parkroyal club lounge as thought the dinner at 6pm so no need to go there b4 6pm for a drink. While waiting at coffee house, was told to show vouchers for dinner but check in by Daniel did not give me the vouchers or to replenish the drinks at my room fridge. The girl at reception around 6pm told me to go up lounge for my dinner without giving me vouchers. I have to showed her that I have paid for my dinner when doing my reservations and she has to check with her colleague before writing on a piece of paper to bring to coffee house. After dinner I went to reception to show my entitlement for snack and drinks and was given an unacceptable excuse on why it was not given. I have to called from my room again to remind them to send me. This morning while having breakfast I saw hair in one of the fried eggs at the egg station. When I told the guy frying eggs there, he just ignored me until another I chef came and take away the whole plate of eggs there without saying a word. Another guest who was besides me heard me telling them about the hair. Both dinner and breakfast there were flies hovering some of the food displayed. It is truly an awful experience this time staying here especially spending more than RM1k for one night stay this time. The last time I came last year I was impressed with the food served, that is why I come back but this time I am disappointed though some of your F&b staff are friendly when I complained to him last night on the dinner bookings.

BBenjamin85It’s right beside Mahkota Medical Centre and right next to the pickup point at Hatten Hotel where the coach stops. Great location! Room is clean and nice except the aircon is centralised air conditioning and cannot adjust the temperature. Room is rather warm (around 26 degrees). Requested for a standing fan but it’s not available. Many eateries near the hotel that you can explore

MMuhammad Irsyad Bin ZainiMy recent stay at Puteri Bay Hotel Melaka was an absolute dream, leaving me with lasting memories and a sincere appreciation for the art of hospitality. From the outset, the hotel radiated an air of sophistication and charm, setting the stage for what turned out to be an extraordinary experience. The check-in process was swift, and the staff displayed a perfect blend of professionalism and friendliness. It was evident that guest satisfaction was a top priority. The lobby, a tasteful blend of modern design and classic elegance, provided a welcoming introduction to the hotel's aesthetic. Upon entering my room, I was immediately struck by the meticulous attention to detail. The décor was a harmonious mix of contemporary style and comfort, creating a serene retreat within the bustling city. The bed, with its high-quality linens and an assortment of pillows, offered a cocoon of relaxation that was hard to leave each morning. The hotel's amenities were a highlight of my stay. The fitness center featured top-of-the-line equipment, and the spa offered a range of indulgent treatments that provided a welcome escape. However, the pièce de résistance was the rooftop pool – a serene oasis with panoramic views, making it the perfect spot to unwind and take in the cityscape. Dining was a culinary journey. The hotel's restaurant boasted a diverse menu, showcasing culinary expertise with a focus on fresh, local ingredients. Each meal was a delightful experience, and the breakfast spread was a particular standout, offering an array of choices to satisfy every palate. What truly set apart was the exceptional service. The staff anticipated every need, and their genuine warmth made me feel not just like a guest, but like an honored friend. From concierge recommendations to housekeeping's meticulous attention to detail, the commitment to providing a flawless experience was evident at every turn. Nestled in a prime location, offered easy access to the city's attractions, ensuring that my explorations were both convenient and enjoyable. Whether I was venturing out for cultural excursions or simply strolling through nearby parks, the hotel's central location proved to be a valuable asset. In conclusion, my stay was a symphony of luxury, comfort, and impeccable service. It's a rare gem that effortlessly blends modern elegance with genuine hospitality. I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking an unforgettable retreat. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to return and relive the magic of this remarkable hotel.

AAnonymous UserFast check-in and check-out, plenty of parking spots available. I booked a room for 3 people, it looked decent at first glance however you can see dirty patches on the wall, mold spots and soap stains in the bathroom. The beds are low, causing difficulty for those with back pains, and really old and made squeaking sounds. Aircond worked fine, however the same can’t be said about the TV and the hairdryer. There’s no mini bar even though it’s shown in the photo. The iron and ironing board is located outside the room. Some amenities i.e toothbrush, comb weren’t provided. Maybe I was unlucky with the room and it felt like staying at a 2-star. We had breakfast buffet at Bemban restaurant, food was good with decent options. The dinner at Asahan Coffee was also superb, especially the fish head curry was sooo good. The staff were all friendly and gave greetings and the service was good. But the hotel should really invest more in the housekeeping area and the furniture/appliances maintenance.

SSophiachiaOther than the location that is not very near to Jonker Street , my stay has been nothing short of excellent! + I booked at 1am. Smooth check in at 11am. Requested for early check-in due to my father's health condition (addtional cost applied). + I used the gym - Equipment was well maintained + Warm reception by staff and lemon water with yummy cookies at the lobby ++ Check out the pillow menu!!!! Love the buckwheat pillow and I have a very restful night. +++ I left my charger in the hotel. Wrote in to request for it to be mailed back to Sg, and their reply was amazingly fast. Wowx3!!! YYKSee90I recently stayed at Hotel Tamara Melaka for 3 days and 2 nights. While the hotel looked new, clean, and modern from the outside and the lobby area was quite stylish and spacious. Unfortunately, my stay didn’t go entirely smoothly. 🚪 Check-In & First Impressions The check-in process was fine, and the hotel interior looked polished, with a clean reception area and bright decor. The staff were polite and attentive, which I appreciated. 🚽 The Main Issue: Toilet Smell However, the biggest issue during my stay was the unpleasant smell coming from the toilet in our initial room. I reported it to the front desk, and they quickly sent housekeeping to clean it thoroughly, which I appreciated. Sadly, even after cleaning, the smell returned later that evening when we came back from dinner. We requested a room change, but the hotel was fully booked that night. The only available option was a twin bed room, which wasn’t ideal, but we had no choice as the toilet smell was really unbearable. Thankfully, the second room was much better. Clean, no odor, and everything worked as expected. I’m glad the hotel team managed to accommodate our request despite being full. 👍 What I Liked: • Beautiful, modern lobby and common areas • Quick response from staff when I raised the issue • Second room was clean and comfortable • Nice touches like bright flowers and a decorative trishaw in the lobby 👎 What Could Be Improved: • First room had serious plumbing/sanitation issues • It took a room change to solve the problem • Twin bed instead of a king, not ideal, but understandable due to availability ⭐ Final Thoughts: Overall, this was not the most pleasant hotel stay due to the room issue. However, I do give credit to the staff for trying their best to help. If maintenance improves and the rooms are better checked before guests arrive, the hotel has good potential. Rating: 6.5/10 I might consider staying again, but only if I’m assured of a properly maintained room.
