We booked a Japanese-style room for four with futons on tatami mats. The bedding was a bit firm but acceptable. The room wasn't very big, but it was very clean. The hotel's location was great, right in the city center. There's an art museum on the second floor of the same building, featuring a Picasso painting, but photography isn't allowed. Admission for adults is 1000 JPY. In this regard, it doesn't quite measure up to the Getty Museum, which is massive, free, and permits photography. The hotel breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options and was very generous. Nearby attractions include Kawagoe Ichibangai and Hikawa Shrine, where you can pray for good fortune. I'd like to extend a special thank you to Ms. Furuhashi at the front desk! I was trying to book ferry tickets online from Aomori to Hakodate but encountered a problem; I couldn't navigate the Japanese website. Ms. Furuhashi very patiently helped me book tickets for my whole family on her phone, a process that took a full 40 minutes. She solved a huge problem for me, as all our subsequent hotels were already booked, and if we hadn't secured those tickets, our entire itinerary would have needed to be rearranged. We can't thank her enough! We're currently on the ferry to Hakodate, and I'd give her ten thousand thumbs up!👍

The hotel is conveniently located, about a 6-7 minute walk from Omiya Station. The ground floor lobby has a pleasant atmosphere, and complimentary hot and cold drinks are provided. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, which offered a good variety of hot dishes. The room itself felt a bit small, and to my surprise, it didn't have central air conditioning. However, the two beds could be pushed together, with one side against the wall, making it perfectly sufficient for two adults and one child. It's newly renovated, and overall, the cleanliness was excellent.

A relatively new hotel about to celebrate their 5th anniversary. If I had come two weeks later, I would be able to celebrate their fifth anniversary with their lucky-draw kind of thing when you so happen to be staying there during that time.

The hotel is quite new, and the rooms are significantly more spacious than what you'd typically find in Tokyo. The bathroom features a wet/dry separation and is roughly three times larger than those in similarly priced hotels near Ueno. It's under a 10-minute walk from Omiya West Exit, with incredibly convenient shopping and dining options nearby. I misplaced my room key once during my stay, and they replaced it free of charge. Ctrip's dynamic pricing felt quite aggressive, but luckily, it was a business trip, so I didn't dwell on it. There are no tall buildings in the vicinity, offering a pleasant view from the window. Omiya is also a major transportation hub, making it easy to travel anywhere. Ueno is just over 20 minutes away by train. It's a viable alternative for accommodation when visiting Tokyo.

It's very close to the station, and you can see the trains going by on the tracks from the window of your room. There's a convenience store, bakery, 100-yen shop, etc. in the same building as the hotel, so it's convenient. There's a complex on the other side of the tracks, so if you're staying for a long time and suddenly need something, you can get it done right away. The coin laundry on the 6th floor has 3 washing machines and 3 dryers, which was convenient to use. The washing machine was 300 yen with detergent. The dryer was 100 yen for 30 minutes, and both were paid for with 100-yen coins.

This hotel is very cost-effective and has a great location. It is on the 4th floor of the building at Wakoshi Station (only three stops to Ikebukuro). You can take the elevator directly to the station. The room is similar to other Japanese hotels, but there is a sofa in the small room, which is very comfortable. The most praiseworthy breakfast is that such a rich breakfast at such a price is really worth praising. Highly recommended.

We booked this hotel to see Billie Eilish's concert, and aside from the location, it had absolutely no advantages. Upon entering the room, one light flickered and another didn't work at all. However, after turning on all the lights, the overall brightness seemed acceptable. Since we were in a hurry to get to the concert, we didn't bother asking for maintenance. After the show, we returned to the room, undressed, and showered, only to be completely stunned. The water was scalding hot, and there was no way to cool it down. We put on our clothes and called for service. A young waiter arrived and, after a flurry of effort, discovered the faucet was broken and unrepairable. After some discussion, they told us to shower in the next room and then continue sleeping in ours. What the hell? It was too much trouble to use the next room as a bathroom, so we declined. After another round of discussion, they offered us a new, renovated room. We were on the 9th floor, but they moved us to the 14th. It was an upgrade, but it was almost 11 PM, and we'd already spent nearly an hour trying to figure it out, even having to reorganize our luggage before we could move it upstairs. We offered breakfast the next day as compensation. Unable to make a decision, the male waiter called in a demanding female supervisor. From the moment we arrived to the end, she offered no apology, repeating the same thing over and over again: either shower next door and go back to sleep and have breakfast delivered, or move to the 14th floor for an upgraded room. After a prolonged standoff, it was too late, so we had no choice but to retreat and return to the 9th floor to pack our luggage and move to the 14th floor. The male waiter even said they would prepare a cart for us. However, after we finished packing, we found only a cart at the door, no attendant in sight. Alas, that was a true taste of Japanese service!

My girlfriend and I stayed here thinking it was just an ordinary business hotel. It was generally clean, but unfortunately there was hair from the previous guest here and there. The staff were very nice. I didn't go in, but apparently there is a hot spring that switches between men and women depending on the time. They serve free dinner and curry, but don't be fooled by the fact that it's free. It's incredibly delicious. I'll definitely come back!

GGuest User4 Senior backpackers in Japan ”stumbled” onto this gem of a Japanese inn next to the Arakawa River. Less than 10 minute walk from the Kami-Nagatoro station and 10 minute walk to Nagatoro Station. We chose location due to proximity to river and start of river boat downstream river ride-sites. We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality shown throughout our two-day stay. We were late in coming out of the mountains of Gunma prefecture (2 hour plus train ride away) and called the inn to notify and were subsequently told that this was no problem for check-in and supper. Fortunately we made up time lost and got to the inn earlier that expected and enjoyed the serene tree-lined river and men's and women's communal furo (shower/bath also in rooms) with outdoor views before dining. Then...we were overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of the dinner! A real treat to get a 7+ course Japanese meal featuring the specialty vegetables and protein of the region! Upon departure we chose to walk with packs back to Kami-Nagatoro Station, along the river, but the proprietor had the Inn van ready and waiting to take us to the train station. The included breakfast's were also multi-course Japanese style, with regional specialties. Granted, the hotel is somewhat time-worn, probably seeing its zenith in the 80's and 90's but all the facilities were cleaning, usable and safe. All staff went made a great effort to ensure that we were enjoying the locale and the Inn. This location, in our opinion is much more serene and ”touristy” than the main area surrounding Nagatoro station but is only 10 minutes walking from that action. If opportunity arises, we will return. The Saitama Museum of Natural is just across the street but this large and modern facility was not open on our late arrival and on Monday. We left on Tuesday morning, but wanted to visit this place also.

GGuest UserHighly recommend! We had 2 rooms, one with a private bath, the other was the special room on the 6th floor. The special room appeared to have the original materials and fixtures, which we appreciate. Everything was maintained very well. If I could suggest one thing, it would be having the carpet replaced in the room, as well as in the public spaces. Breakfast had a good variety of western and Japanese foods. The fixed course dinner was exceptional, from the presentation to the taste. One memorable experience for us was the table tennis. Our whole family had such a good time! Last but not least, the service was top-notch. From the moment we stepped in the hotel, Kitabori was there to welcome us and ensured that we had everything we needed. His professionalism and attention to details truly enhanced our stay! We would definitely stay there again.

GGuest UserThe location was good in front of the station, and there were many taverns and convenience stores and it was comfortable. The room was renovated and new and clean. The bed was Simon and the bed was very comfortable. I was able to spend without any inconvenience. I will make a reservation next time.

TThomasGreat staffing with great service. Able to catch multiple free shuttles from/to Wado-Kuroya station. I just have to make a free call through the Trip.com app to contact the hotel, although the staff speaks little English, we were able to communicate using google translate, make sure to use simple language to make it easier for everyone if you are only English speaking. Train at this station is not frequent so best to plan ahead. Only to improve on is i wish we have bigger room for 4 people with the price we were paying. But overall it’s a nice traditional Japanese Ryokan.

RReygiezelAll in all good but check in is so very late 16::00 afternoon then the check out is very early 10:00 in the morning that’s only not good if you are travel along time you need to rest but this is not good to the travelers but they have considerable reason if they finished to clean the room they give you have to check in right away before 4 of the time as the time for check in that’s only the main reason that not accessible ?but it’s recommended also to those want to stay near in station of train and bus , near convinience store and restaurants to eat .

LLinJennyHad a wonderful time here! The staff was super polite and friendly, although be mindful that they don’t speak very much English, so having a translator app on hand was very helpful. The room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities we needed for a delightful experience. We arrived by train, but the route on foot to the hotel was fairly easy to navigate. The Onsen was the highlight of the place. It was very clean and well maintained. The outdoor bath was incredible. I would definitely come back here if I get the chance to :)

PPhuriI had a great stay at this hotel! The room was beautifully decorated, clean, and very comfortable. It's conveniently located not too far from Omiya Station, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and convenience stores. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to try the spa, so I can’t comment on that part. But overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

GGuest UserBooked this hotel for overnite stay while on the way to Nikko. The are is quiet at night time. The room is just a standard Japan hotel room, though size is bigger compared to those in Tokyo downtown area. The hotel spa (or onsen) is actually few mins walk away (and need to go up to footbridge to cross the road). We drove to the spa mainly because there is a restaurant that we could have dinner. As we arrived late, we didn't try the onsen there. The spa looks good and staff there is very nice.
