"I enjoyed staying at this hotel despite the issues. They offered FREE collection from the airport. My flight was on time & I cleared Customs & Immigration promptly. I waited over an hour at the airport & NOBODY came to collect me! They claim a driver was waiting, but the airport was EMPTY and there was nobody else there! The hotel was in a good location 15 mins drive from the airport. There wasn't much else closeby although there was a supermarket behind the hotel and the restaurant on the Ground Floor of the hotel was quite nice and very affordable. Most of the attractions were NOT within walking distance. They were a short taxi or Dart (like Uber) ride away. The rooms were quite comfortable and somewhat clean. The beds were VERY short. I am 188cm tall (6'2”) and I had to ask for a different room with longer beds. They were not your usual Queen size beds. The new room had paint spilt all over the floor. I also wiped down the fridge with an anti-bacterial tissue and the photos will show the mould that came off on the tissue. Apart from that, the room seemed quite clean. Breakfast was VERY average - not much to choose from but it was barely adequate. The staff at this hotel were very obliging in everything they did. I made good use of the pool - that was very pleasant. At least this hotel had a pool! Many other hotels in the area did not have a pool! The staff gave me 6pm checkout for FREE and provided transport to the airport to make up for the issues I had. So I am quite satisfied. My thanks to all the staff for a lovely stay. The breakfast buffet offered an incredible variety of both Chinese and Western dishes, all made with fresh, delicious ingredients – every meal was incredibly satisfying. The room was spacious and elegantly decorated, clean, and comfortably laid out, making for a truly relaxing stay. The hotel grounds are huge, with lush greenery and stunning ocean views. It's a quiet and therapeutic environment. The outdoor pool has crystal clear water and faces the sea directly, perfect for swimming and photos. Just a few steps away is the beach, ideal for leisurely walks and watching the sunset. My entire stay was flawless, with thoughtful service and excellent facilities. You absolutely must stay here if you visit Brunei!"

"This hotel offers great value for money, with excellent comfort and hygiene, and high safety standards. The breakfast is also decent! The staff are all very friendly and patient in answering any questions you have, whether it's about nearby attractions or transportation. You can ask the front desk about anything. Many taxi drivers recognize this hotel, and its sign even includes Chinese characters. The surrounding area is very convenient, with a wide variety of restaurants and food options. If you go out the back door of the hotel and cross the road, you'll find Wu Zun Bakery, which is super close. There's a Baiduri Bank nearby, just a few minutes' walk away, where you can withdraw money from an ATM (it's very convenient as Chinese UnionPay cards can be used with a Chinese language option). If I come back, I'll definitely stay here again."

"I had an excellent stay at Centrepoint Hotel and was very impressed with the overall experience. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth, comfortable, and well managed. The front desk and reception staff were exceptionally helpful, welcoming, and professional. Every member of the team I encountered was friendly, courteous, and always greeted guests with a warm smile, making me feel truly welcome throughout my stay. I was also impressed by the hotel's prompt service. As I was unfamiliar with the air-conditioning controls in my room, I contacted the front desk for assistance. Two maintenance staff members arrived within just a few minutes, helped me to reset the air-conditioning system, and patiently showed me how to adjust the temperature. The quick response and friendly assistance were greatly appreciated. The room and hotel facilities were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a relaxing environment after a full day of exploring Brunei. "The hotel is conveniently located in the city center, yet only about a ten-minute drive from the airport. The receptionists were very polite and even helped with luggage. The facilities are decent, with a gym, spa, pool, and restaurant all available. It's worth noting that bottled water is not provided due to environmental considerations."

"I chose this hotel because it was the cheapest option with airport transfer, perfect for a rest before my late-night flight and to store my luggage. I didn't have high expectations due to the low price, but when I entered the room, the air conditioning was already on and it was wonderfully cool! I really appreciate that they had the room cooled down before check-in. The bathroom was average. The shower curtain was discolored, so I probably wouldn't have wanted to use the shower, but since I wasn't staying overnight, it didn't matter. The airport transfer times weren't flexible; I had to choose between 7:00 PM and 8:40 PM. I picked 7:00 PM, which was perfect as I got to enjoy the night market a bit and still had time for the airport lounge. The transfer shuttle was also very nice. It was definitely worth it just for the taxi fare alone. I highly recommend this place if you just need it for a short rest!"

"I loved the comfort of the hotel. It's super well-located, very close to the main attractions on foot. The staff were friendly, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very varied, and the Yelo restaurant right next door had lots of food and friendly staff."

"The hotel offers free airport shuttle service, which is a great perk. The hotel staff member who picked us up, named Boy (haha), was incredibly enthusiastic, talkative, and attentive. He constantly pointed out the scenic spots along the way. The hotel's location is also excellent. You can walk to the Royal Regalia Museum and the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque. There's also a small night market right outside the hotel where you can find local snacks in the evening. Considering the hotel's price point, the breakfast was quite decent, offering coffee, tea, milk, toast, scrambled eggs, local snacks, and fruits. However, the room facilities are a bit dated, and the provided toiletries are quite basic. But the biggest area for improvement is hygiene. I was surprised to find an empty water bottle and a used towel left by the previous guest in my room. The housekeeping department really needs to step up its game."

"Good location for budget travelers, but cleanliness and facilities need improvement Location & Accessibility. The hostel is located near the Gadong Night Market in a relatively safe area. It takes about 15 minutes by car or bus to reach the city center, where you can find the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Kampong Ayer (water village), and museums. Public buses to the city center are available right from Gadong Night Market. Room & Cleanliness: I booked a bed in the female dormitory and was guided to another building about a 1-minute walk from the main Google Maps location, which was fine. However, I had concerns about the cleanliness. The bedsheets, although supposed to be fresh, had visible hair and dust on them. I was offered a different bed, but it had the same issue. Since I was exhausted from long-distance travel, I gave up and accepted it, but I felt uncomfortable watching the staff simply brush off the dirt by hand and assign the previous bed to another guest. Facilities & Wi-Fi: There is room for improvement regarding the bathroom and Wi-Fi. The shower rooms (separate from the toilets) are extremely small, with no hooks to hang towels or clothes. There is also a mild sewer smell from the toilet and shower area. The hostel uses a strong orange air freshener throughout the property, which felt a bit overpowering. While Wi-Fi is provided, the connection was extremely slow—perhaps because my room was at the far end of the hallway. Since eSIMs in Brunei are relatively expensive compared to other countries, the weak Wi-Fi was quite inconvenient. Overall: It has the absolute basics. If you are on a tight budget and just need a cheap place to sleep for 1 or 2 nights in price-heavy Brunei, this could be an option. However, expectations for cleanliness and comfort should be kept low."
