We had an absolutely wonderful stay and felt truly well taken care of throughout our time here. Special thanks to Qiu Jie, who was always responsive and patient in answering our many questions via WeChat — her support made planning everything so much smoother. We’re also deeply grateful to the boss, Hongbo, for his warm hospitality and genuine care; it truly felt like staying with family rather than at a commercial accommodation. Everyone we met — including the chef and our drivers — was extremely kind, friendly, and attentive. They were always ready to help with arrangements such as transportation and ticket bookings, and did so with great sincerity. We were also thoughtfully provided with frozen fruits, which was a lovely and refreshing treat after spending time outdoors in the cold. The location is about a 2-hour drive from Snow Town, and we loved being away from the busy, crowded tourist area. The peaceful rural surroundings allowed us to experience local life at a slower pace, complemented by delicious farm-to-table home-cooked meals. The hosts even taught us how to do the hot water splash, which was a fun and memorable experience in the freezing winter weather. As a bonus, there’s also a cute little deer in the backyard, which added an unexpected and delightful touch to our stay. They helped us book a visit to Gou Xiong Ling (¥400 per person, inclusive of transportation, entrance fee, and all rides). The snow activities — snowmobiling, snow tubing, snow drifting — were great fun, and we appreciated that photos and videos were taken and shared with us afterward. In addition, they assisted with ticketing and arrangements for our visit to Snow Town, including crossing Yangcaoshan by horse-drawn sled, taking a snowmobile up the mountain, and then a jeep ride down (with the option to walk down as well). Transportation back from Snow Town was also smoothly arranged. Overall, this stay offered not just comfort, but a truly warm, authentic, and thoughtfully curated experience. Highly recommended for travelers who value genuine hospitality, local experiences, and a peaceful alternative to the crowds of Snow Town.

The owner extreamly warm, helpful & very kind😊..communication is easy using trip, alipay chat or wechat fast response from the owner..the owner help me so much in arranging our transportation & activities there..the room very spacious and sparkling clean..additional value for this house is, u are allow to cook and they provide basic cooking utensil which is really helpful ! Will comeback here because it feels like home..

The hosts are a lovely uncle and auntie. The room is wonderfully spacious and bright, with immaculately swept floors whose natural wood grain exudes a clean freshness. Not a speck of dust can be found on table corners or under the bed. Outside, snow fell heavily, and the wind whipped snowflakes against the window, yet inside, it was toasty warm. The heated kang bed was incredibly effective, and the coarse linen duvet absorbed all the heat. Any chill instantly dissipated upon touching the bed, leaving a warmth that permeated right down to your bones. Over these past few days, the uncle and auntie took excellent care of me. You can even eat directly at the guesthouse, and the food – Guobao Rou (sweet and sour pork), Northeastern Stew, and sauerkraut dumplings – all authentic Northeastern flavors, was truly delicious. The auntie provided complimentary hiking gear; the trekking poles were smoothly worn, and the snow gaiters were spotless. As I was leaving, she even slipped me a package of fireworks, wrapped in red paper, a heavy and heartfelt gesture. Everything I photographed was recommended by the uncle and auntie. We booked a 6-day, 5-night trip to Xuegu (Snow Valley) this time, mainly because we come from a tropical country with only one season: summer. So, we wanted to give our kids the experience of winter and let them enjoy playing in the snow. The warm hospitality from Uncle Tian and the proprietress made me feel right at home, even in a different country. The guesthouse felt like a big family where everyone could chat and snack on melon seeds together. The food at the guesthouse was delicious, and the prices were very fair. After eating and exploring around, I still found Uncle Tian's food to be the best tasting 😋, and the prices were reasonable. Friends from Malaysia 🇲🇾, you should definitely choose this place! I honestly think it's excellent! 👍👍👍

The owner is extremely helpful and very kind. Although he doesn’t understand Eng, communication is easy through WeChat, and he is always responsive and willing to help with anything. Staying here truly feels like going back to your hometown for the holidays m, very warm, cozy, and homey vibes. In the evening, they even invited us to play fireworks together, which made the experience extra special and memorable. Overall, I highly recommend this guesthouse if you’re looking for an authentic local experience with sincere hospitality.

An absolutely wonderful stay! A big thank you to the hostess and our guide. We came with our child, and the experience was fantastic. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the guesthouse environment was lovely. The hostess even gave us a complimentary 'splashing water into ice' experience and some frozen pears and persimmons. Plus, there's free shuttle service to the main street, which is super convenient. The best part, though, is that right next to the guesthouse, there's a snow slope and slide built by the owners themselves, which the kids absolutely loved! 👍 On the second day, the guesthouse guide accompanied us throughout our trip to see the rime ice, taking photos and videos with great patience. We're very grateful!

Cleanliness & Basics: The room was clean and we had hot water for showers. Authentic Experience: We enjoyed feeling immersed in the local neighborhood, with lots of small, inexpensive restaurants nearby. Points for Foreign Families to Note: Language Barrier: The staff were very kind and helpful, but did not speak English. They managed communication using translation apps, which was fine but required patience. Breakfast: The complimentary breakfast was entirely Chinese-style (congee, egg, steamed buns, pickles). Amenities: Don't expect extra facilities like a gym or pool. It's a place to sleep and clean up, not a resort. Local Focus: The inn is clearly geared toward domestic travelers, so room decor is simple and functional. Overall: This inn is an excellent, economical choice if you prioritize a clean room and good value. We were comfortable and would use it again for a budget trip

Stayed 5 nights in Snow Valley (2 nights at XHM, 3 nights at DZH). Giving a good review because: 1. The young proprietress provides excellent service. She's sincere, friendly, and genuine, which makes you feel relaxed and at ease. 2. The location is in the center of Snow Valley. The stage is just a few steps away, and there are plenty of food options outside, which is very convenient. The guesthouse also sells food, and it tastes quite good. Many people dine there for dinner. The proprietress has decorated the guesthouse exterior nicely. You can tell she put a lot of thought into it. Recommendation: There's an entertainment venue nearby (where you can enjoy activities like snow tubing) for about 50-100 yuan per person for a few hours. Recommendation: There's a lamb skewer shop right outside the guesthouse, and it's delicious. I went there for a late-night snack. Shop name: Brothers BBQ.

This family-run guesthouse offers excellent service. The courtyard is beautifully decorated, and you can even see and pet white foxes and sika deer. The owners are incredibly kind and helped us plan our itinerary and book tickets. We managed to do everything we wanted in our three-day, two-night stay. The breakfast was simple, but the food ordered at the guesthouse was delicious. The rooms were lovely and clean, with underfloor heating and a traditional 'kang' bed. The free nightly activities were also a lot of fun, and Uncle Lao's guided tour of Wusong Ridge was absolutely fantastic and definitely worth it.

I chose the Lily Hotel based on its affordable price, good ratings, and the fact that each room had a private bathroom (some hotels even have one toilet shared across the entire floor, and showers shared between two floors, which is very inconvenient). Based on these criteria, plus the need for Wi-Fi, I ultimately chose the Lily Hotel. The reviews there were initially quite good, but unfortunately, my room experience was not good. First, the hotel doesn't have an elevator, which could be a big problem for guests with a lot of luggage. My room was the last one, right at the bottom of the stairs, so I had to constantly remind myself to be careful not to fall down the stairs, which I found very annoying. Second, a major drawback is that at 163cm tall, I can easily touch the ceiling. If guests are taller, this room would definitely not be suitable. It felt like it used to be a storage room that was later converted into a guest room. Yes, there was no TV in the room, which might be a drawback for some. But for me, the downside was that smoking was allowed in the room, and there was a non-nicotine odor. The windowsill was tiled, making the room very cold. Fortunately, there was a light, warm blanket at night, which made it a little more comfortable. When I opened the bathroom door, I was afraid to shower, worried that water would splash onto the water heater's wiring and cause a short circuit. However, after a closer look, I realized the water shouldn't have reached there, so it wasn't a problem. But the bathroom had a strong sewer smell as soon as I opened the door. It wasn't until the last day that I suddenly decided to check under the sink, and what I saw was utterly unsettling. I'm not a plumber, but I know it shouldn't be like this. I never expected it. There wasn't even a single cup in the room. Cleaning was only done once before check-in. A bottle of water was left before check-in. There was only enough toothpaste for one use, but thankfully a comb was provided. Before checking out, I typed the information into a translation app and went to the front desk to ask how to get a taxi more conveniently: whether to book through the Alipay app or to find a car at the mall entrance and negotiate the price. But the receptionist, through the translator, told me they could only call a taxi by phone. Later, while crossing the border, I successfully booked a taxi through the Alipay app and was able to cancel the order. This was very unpleasant; the receptionist had given me incorrect information. Что очень не удобно). выбор пал на гостиницу Лилия. не свезло с данным номером. Во-первых, в гостинице нет лифта, это может быть большим минусом для тех, кто с большим багажом, но мой номер был последним и располагался прямиком на лестнице, выходя из номера, всегда следует напоминать себе о том, чтобы не упасть с лестницы, что очень не понравилось мне. Во-вторых, большой минус из-за того, что я со своим ростом 163 см могла дотянуться прям до потолка своими руками. Ощущение, что ранее это было подсобное помещение из него сделали номер. меня минус в том, что в номере можно курить и в нем пахло некотином. Подоконник сделан из плитки из-за чего в номере холодно. Благо легкое и теплое одеяло меня спасало ночью. Открывая ванную комнату, боялась мыться, если вдруг намочу контакты бойлера и произойдет короткое замыкание. явно не попадет. Но минус в этой ванной комнате было то, что открывая ее пахло канализацией. день меня что-то сподвигло посмотреть под раковину и увидела тихий ужас. Я не сантехник, нод понимаю что так быть не должно. такого не додумалась бы. Нет кружек в номере хотя бы одной. воды оставили перед заселением. было то, что была расчестка для волос. о том, как лучше уехать на такси, заказать через приложение на Alipay или лучше подойти к торговому центру и договориться с ним. Но девушка через переводчик сообщила мне, что у них только по звонку заказывают такси. в таможне, я через приложение Alipay смогла вызвать такси и сделать отмену. Это неприятно. Девушка на ресепшене меня дезоинформировала.
