Hotel is a 10 min walk from the bus station which connects to the train from the airport. The same bus station that takes to the central train station. It costs about 12CHF to 18CHF to or from train station. Hotel provides free rental bicycles which is very convenient. Facilities are OK. Room size is reasonable.
Be aware that the uncovered glass of the shower may not suitable for all if privacy is important. The room we stayed were extremely hot. While it is only 14°-18° outside, the room temperature is definitely 30°+. It made hard to wear the proper clothing to fit the temperature for the day. No aircon, the only way to cool the room down is to open the side window which leaves no wall from the room to outside of the building. Yes, the only barrier are a couple of metal bars between the desk against the window to outside the building from our ninth floor room. Plus the window can closed by itself, you need to reopen it multiple times if you want the cooler air for a little longer. It’s hard for a hot night sleep.
Breakfast is good and has good variety of the food and drinks. It costs 24CHF p.p. if it is pre-ordered.
If stays in the same room, no, it is not recommended to stay here. It may have other rooms that are not as hot as the one we stayed.

My stay at Placid Hotel Zurich was truly enjoyable! 🇨🇭✨
The hotel has a modern, minimalist design with large windows offering amazing city views — especially at sunrise and sunset. The rooms are clean, stylish, and well-equipped, with everything from high-speed Wi-Fi to a Nespresso machine and super comfortable beds. 🛏️
The reception team was excellent — very friendly, professional, and always ready to help with directions, transport cards, or restaurant recommendations. They made check-in and check-out smooth and pleasant. 🙌
Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with plenty of options to start the day right ☕🥐. The hotel’s location in Zurich Altstetten is also convenient — just a few minutes by train or tram to the city center and Zurich Main Station. 🚆

Fine for a business traveler. For couples...eh. Walls are pretty thin as stated. The "lounge" is just a room on the 9th floor with a TV and some games. There's no deadbolt on the door. That being said, the sunrise corner room gets unbeatable views!
Also, classic European bathroom where water just gets... everywhere when showering. So it's solid for a night in Zurich but not sure I could recommend it for a week of travel or if you're looking for something romantic.

Only about a 20 min tram ride from Zurich HB. We arrived an hour early and they allowed us to check in early seeing as they just cleaned the room. Business Room was bigger than expected and very modern. Luggage storage after check out was very helpful. Customer service was excellent.
Would have liked having a kettle in the room.

Unfortunately, same room 1 day later i got email from Trivago that price went down with 79€ ...
