Won’t come back! Very hot, no air con provided, only a fan. Need to share the toilet and bathroom with other rooms

If you like being stranded on the street corner for 2 hours after your flight because nobody is there until 9 am to even let you in, if you enjoy the misery of no air conditioning in July (not even on the hottest of days), if squeaky floors and shared bathrooms are your thing, if you love listening to loud music at night because your room faces the park where bums hang out, if you're ok not even having coffee in the morning (or paying 15 francs for breakfast) - then by all means, book this place! Misleading photos online! They make it look like a small boutique hotel. In reality, no modern furnishings or artwork like these, and we had 2 different rooms booked. Ours were a hodgepodge of old furniture in one and bare minimum from Ikea in another. We booked 4 months in advance and paid $1,200 for these two rooms for 2 nights! RUN!!!

Terrific breakfast and easy vibe; the park opposite is a hang out for those struggling in Zurich and may need some care in although no threat directly, just typical big city reality.

The hotel is easy to reach and close to public transport. The room was spacious and updated and we were pleasantly surprised with chilled waters upon arrival. The beds were comfortable. We traveled during a very hot day/night and the lack of AC made the room warmer than we’d prefer but that’s just a personal preference. There was a fan available which helped a lot. We had an overall great stay and loved the accessibility to major tourist sites.

The staff was very nice and greeted us well. But this property did not work well for our family. We were not aware of the shared bathroom with the rest of the rooms offered in our quarter. We also were so hot in the morning from the rising sun in room 42. I wouldn’t recommend this property if you have a family and need a bathroom in your room. Thanks for a welcoming greeting.

Nice room. No kettle, coffee or tea. Shared bathroom ok. Very very creaky floors which are a problem at night so it depends what the other guests are up to! The two young staff members in the cafe were super helpful. I’m glad we called prior to arrival so we knew where to go to check in at the cafe.
